  1. Hopefully the CEO is going explain when he's going to stop ticketless Celtic fans coming into ground. If the Green Brigade are the ones who are assualting stewards to open the doors then tell Celtic no more tickets for the Green Brigade. If they don't like it no tickets at all. There's not so much big talk from him, PC Plod and alleged SLO when it's not Motherwell supporting children trying to get in the ground.

  2. Respect everyone’s opinions but for me the Semi Final is the bigger game out of the next two by some distance. If I was offered a choice between winning against Dundee Utd and winning the Semi Final then I’d pick the Semi every single time. We’ve got a chance to get to a Cup Final, they don’t come around very often atall.

  3. Sorry, but Im 55 years old and we have been in 5 cup finals in that time. Sunday is a chance to get to another one. The League Cup is also one of only 2 competitions we will ever have a realistic chance of winning. So Sunday is the bigger game for me by a country mile. Not saying the extra money isnt welcome, particularly after the summer we had, but we all go to the football for the memories. Cup semis and finals provide pretty big ones. Also, Aberdeen might just surprise us and give us a punchers chance in the final!

  4. Absolute vermin. I would ban the lot of them for a season whether there’s justification or not

  5. It’s the same as hitting a penalty off the post, you can’t play it again, someone else has to touch it.

  6. He essentially hit the free kick to himself. No-one else touched the ball between him hitting it and it rebounding back to him.

  7. Have the old firm not got a 5% minimum agreement for away fan allocation agreed with spfl. id be ok with that 13742 at 5% is 867 and stick them in the top tier of the south stand. if 5% is good enough for them then that should be good enough for us to enforce.

  8. Thats several games in a row now against that lot where the away end is clearly over populated and it will continue to happen as long as the club and the authorities let it.if it gets to the point where there's some kind of disaster due to the overcrowding you can be sure the green bigots will play the victim, the police will play dumb and it will be our club thats left with serious questions to answer, there's only going to be one loser if this continues and it will be us.

  9. I think everyone wants to win both games but as you say, winning a semi v rangers to get to a final lingers a lot more in your memory than a league win at Tannadice. you loose the semi then we are out, no final. Loose to Utd we have most of the season to recover from that. Let’s hope we beat both of them! COYW!

  10. Spot on, the simple fact re yesterday was we never took the chances we had and were beaten by a team light years better than ours. Our season will be judged on the results against the other 9 teams not the ugly sisters.

  11. Maybe throwing it away is the modern equivalent of tearing up the old paper ones - it just doesn't have the same dramatic effect. "Yir rubbish Motherwell. See? I'm taking my season ticket out my wallet and I'm dropping it on the ground!!"

  12. Given how lackluster we are after international breaks, we need to be playing out strongest team at every opportunity. Every game is important. The amount of breaks now is mental. Then we play catch up at the worst time of the year.

  13. Football is all about opinions. Its funny, I think Wednesday's game is more important to us than next Sunday's. I'd rather Gordon's suspension finished next weekend. We'll miss him against St Johnstone. For me, the semi is all about how much cash we can earn. Teams are now beginning to suss us out and we have no Plan B. Tie up our wing backs and Lennon Miller and they're guaranteed a draw at the worst.

  14. Thought the first half was very good but you have to put your chances away against Celtic otherwise its gonna come back to bite you. McCowan got the break of the ball for his goal with the ricochet, but it was poor defending from us after that as we backed off and let him hit it, instead of closing him down. Second half we started well enough but the second goal kills us. Not sure about the substitutions. Ultimately everyone got on, just not sure I would have put them on in that order. Stama is a huge upgrade on Robinson. Sparrow provided great energy and Kaleta was impressive going forward until he got injured. Some of Lennon Millers passes were ridiculously good. Unfortunately we never capitalised. Not a surprise to lose the game. Celtic are a much better team than us, with infinitely greater resources. Wednesday could be tough with Gordon and probably Kaleta both out. But saw enough today to feel positively about the semi final on Sunday......

  15. Hi mate. Got in no issues at all. Called the ticket office at back of 11 and one of the girls told me that they took the game off the booking system to stop the Celtic fans potentially buying tickets for our stands. She checked and confirmed that all the home games are registered against my name and membership number and that todays game was definitely on it. Presented card at turnstile and the qr code scanned without any issues. Apologies for not coming back on and updating with what i had been told.

  16. He stopped a certain goal after others fell asleep. And a headed clearance earlier saved another goal. Far from our worst defender today but let's just focus on any fault we can home in on.
