  1. From what ive seen, what we are looking for is a senile old investor that wants to chuck their money in with zero interest in a return. That's no happening. Its looks like we've sat and watched what's happened at Wrexham and tried to jump on the band wagon but without putting up the same stakes. You could even look at both clubs situations as similar, both fan owned and hit a ceiling, needing outside investment. From what I understand (and can remember, its been a while) is that the deal was struck that the ground was retained by the fans but they gave up control. You are going to find it neigh on impossible to find any investor worth their salt that won't involve giving up one or the other. What we would have better off doing is spending the time and money to look at better ways to create sponsorship & partnership opertunites as that makes more sense keeping in line what what we are willing to actually give up.

  2. I think Sparrow has earned it he has probably shown more in games than alot of players this season. The issue is the recruitment team now that's where we need to change things in.Daws was brought in because he was buddies and worked with Alexander that ship has sailed and sailed again so time for someone else's to press search on the pc and see what players come up. But honestly I wouldn't miss any of them if they left us but I shall be sad if McGinn has to call it a day he has been really good for us.

  3. Every player with a contract ending this season should be shown the door. Including loanees. Even some of those under contract for next season should be moved on, if at all possible. We need a complete clear out and reset; otherwise, what’s the point in Wimmer being here?!

  4. We could replace almost all of the current squad in my opinion Maybe only Oxborough and Slattery (Miller as well of course but unlikely )are worth keeping. Unfortunately we have to be realistic and accept that we will keep some of them as squad players and hopefully replace those definitely leaving with a bit more quality. Hard to tell what way the manager wants to play as he has just had to work with what was left him so far. But would like quality rather than quantity

  6. That's not what I said, the comparison was due to the fact that they went through an American investment proposal at a similar time that we did. The last sentence of my post was aimed at the people (not aimed at you) that seem to believe that we need investment at any cost, there is room for investment but it needs to work for both parties. I don't think anyone is suggesting that they're reinventing the wheel however they should be given credit where it is due for making more of what is infront of them, some thing that the previous board failed to do.

  7. Personal view is the 'Scottish International' bit skewed expectations. If' he'd come up through the ranks , never got to Scotland squad I suspect there would be more positivity towards him. This is a local lad who we signed from a fellow SPL club back in 2020 and for 5 years given his best. He's about to be 33 years old and no longer has the engine to get up and down the flanks. Being part of central defence doesn't seem the natural fit as he does switch off. I much prefer him moving forward. Given he's aging and been around the club for 5 years, lives locally etc I can see why he's been extended for another year. A very decent squad player. Robinson, Alexander, Hammel, Kettlewell and now Wimmer have all wanted him around, between them they've seen enough , shame not all fans feel the same way but I generally believe this is more about expectations than what he's delivered.
