  1. I was in the East Neuk this morning to collect our seafood order when another driver in the car park called me over. It was none other than Stevie Kirk, who had been doing the same. We had a good natter. He's had a few health issues of late but is now back to fitness, I'm pleased to report. He still follows all things claret and amber.

  3. I've never heard the adenoidal Keevins say anything remotely favourable about MFC. He's there to buff up the Ugly Sisters and I've never been convinced his football knowledge extends much beyond their squads. Scottish football's churnalists and presstitutes generally constitute the bottom layers of football writers in the UK, with very few exceptions.

  6. I done exactly the same, I think the number of Hospital and dental appointments in the shire that day was thousands above normal levels. As you say bad refereeing and play acting taking advantage of our European naivety back then, I think Rab Shannon still has a 3 match Uefa ban to serve after his red card that day 🤣

  8. Whatever blend of C&A the new kit turns out to be, it will undoubtedly be ruined by some tacky sponsors logo plastered all over it. Start giving the fans an opportunity to buy a sponsor free version I'm sure it would be a big seller.

  10. 410 games at a 50% win percentage. There's a bunch of championship seasons in there, but also taking hearts to 3rd a couple of times and winning a cup. Other championship managers have been touted on here, so I don't see why that should be a blocker. Put his exact experience and stats on a foreign manager, and we'd be hailing it as a great appointment. Any experienced manager is going to split opinion, because you don't go 10 years in management without ups and downs. Like I said, I don't want him because I've never really liked him, maybe that's because I don't like hearts. But the argument that he isn't good enough is silly. Most of us want an exciting manager from outside of Scotland because it's something new, and there's the chance we find a diamond in the rough. Bringing in someone with considerable experience makes that less likely, so it's boring.

  11. If we had to go for a Scottish manager he wouldnt be the worst choice. Has plenty of experience and should have enough about him to keep us up. But he is dour as hell and that is kind of reflected in his teams. A kind of McInnesy type appointment. Id much rather sign up for another mystery foreign coach who wants to play high press with intensity and lots of goal shoots! 😉
