We can probably live with goalkeeping error now and again but unfortunately that’s 2 games in a row where it’s been a major contributor to loosing points. So the frequency and consequences of the mistakes have put a lot of focus there. Had we not dropped points or had they been a few games apart then perhaps there would not be the same impetus to get Ox back in goals.
Personally, I would give Ox a run out but I think JBA will stick with Ward for the Dundee game.
As a young boy I was privileged to play with Bobby at our primary school. He was some player. My hero was St John, so I was very interested in everything Liverpool, and followed Bobby's career. I was so pleased when he signed for the 'Well and what joy he brought with his partnership with Willie Pettigrew.
Condolences to Bobby's family and friends.
A true' Well legend.
RIP Bobby 🙏
Very sad to hear that Bobby Graham has passed away.
A truly fantastic player and the partnership that he had with Willie Pettigrew was just legendary.
I began watching the ‘Well about 1967 and Bobby was without any doubt the best centre-forward I ever saw.
Sincere condolences to Bobby’s family at a sad time.
RIP Bobby.
And in that 'over a year', how much time did Stama miss through injury? He has not had a full year on the pitch. And on top of that the entire team is learning a new system under a new Manager with numerous new players being introduced..
My point re Bowman was that he played his full part in the team scoring. As has and is Stama. Although I accept Stama is looked upon by us fans as the main striker. But is he? Maybe Maswanhise is looked upon as the main goal threat. Could Stama do better? Of course he could. So could everybody else in the team.
Bobby Graham and Wullie Pettigrew were the first strikers I remember from when I started watching Motherwell. So I grew up thinking the way they played was normal, and all the strikers I would see at Fir Park would the the same.
If only I knew...
Very sad news and condolences to his family and friends. An amazing player, who struck up a telepathic understanding with Willie Pettigrew. I believe that came about by chance. I seem to recall he was a quiet, under the radar, type of player with his prolific sidekick receiving more publicity. Bobby had the knack of having great foresight and positional awareness and brought out the best in others.
RIP Bobby.
