  1. Very sorry to learn of the passing of Willie Watson at the age of 76. Condolences to his friends and family. He was a real stalwart in the best Well side that I've seen. My abiding memory of him was in that famous 1977 cup game at Fir Park when we defeated St Mirren 2-1. He moved in to tackle Bobby Torrance, who under instruction from Alex Ferguson leapt 7 feet into the air and landed in a heap rolling about in mock agony. The only problem was that Willie was wise to this tactic and stopped short without actually making the challenge. RIP Willie.

  3. Davie Cooper would have been 70 today. Tragically taken from us far too young. Still one of best players I ever saw in a well jersey

  4. Nah, he was daft enough to do it on live tv when winning by 3 goals so deserved what he got I'm afraid...we will miss him too.
