  1. On the money he'll be getting he won't need to live in Derby itself. Plenty of nice spots in the Dales within a half hour drive, or Mickleover on the outskirts where some of the other players seem to live.
  2. Always possible he's just discovered he doesn't enjoy living and playing abroad. If so, no point making himself miserable for another couple of years when he can make the same (or better) money closer to home.
  3. Not at all. Like everyone else, very much enjoying what I'm seeing so far.
  4. Would be nice to win a league game first, mind you.
  5. It is, but I always wonder why any player would tweet after a less than perfect performance a) at all, or b) without at least limiting who can reply.
  6. Hope he won't be too gutted that he's not the first Grenadian international we've had on our books.
  7. Didn't see the game today, but have to say I quite enjoyed getting the fishel WhatsApp updates instead, they're not a bad replacement for the matchday Tweets of yore. (But yes, I know it's an app owned by Zuck, which isn't much better than one owned by Space Karen.)

  9. Certainly not one of his more memorable commentaries, but to be fair he still seemed in pretty good nick for a 90 year old.
  10. Probably, but we've already survived and indeed beaten teams doing that in the Lleague Cup, too.
  11. Ta. Being the DR, I should have guessed that he wouldn't have said what the headline said he said.
  12. I'm not going to read the article, so which is it: "imminent", or—and this is very much the opposite of imminent—"within weeks"?
  13. Have they just used our script badge with the M turned upside down? Lazy gits...
  14. Looks like exactly the sort of collar that half the folk on here profess to hate every year for being “too fussy”, “widnae lie flat”, etc….
  15. Watching Ross Tierney playing for Bohs against St Pat's on the telly here. He hasn't changed.... a couple of good tackles, a couple of bad ones, set up a couple of good chances, and failed to get his shot away every time he had one himself.
  16. Nice to hear that instead of Wimmer's "shoots" we now have Askou's "ball wins".
  17. 1 Calum Ward 22 Johnny Koutroumbis 4 Liam Gordon 16 Paul McGinn (C) 23 Ewan Wilson 38 Lennon Miller 20 Elliot Watt 8 Callum Slattery 12 Lukas Fadinger 18 Tawanda Maswanhise 9 Apostolos Stamatelopoulos Subs: Connelly, O'Donnell, Balmer, Halliday, McGhee, Sparrow, Ross, Whyte, Forrest, Friel, Wiliamson
  18. Safe it may be, but still fairly abusey on the human rights front. Not somewhere I'd be delighted for any of my friends or family to be earning a living, but to each their own.
  19. Hopefully, although he did also spend 3 years working for Aberdeen and St Mirren, and his last job was being assistant to someone who played for Celtic for 7 years.
  20. Certainly born in Glasgow, but don't think he had any OF connection until after he left us?
  21. Presumably we thought he was the best candidate when we gave him the job, so it's not really that hard to believe he was also the best candidate for a team with a similar budget and aspirations in the same league.
