  1. Who would doubtless say "Hibs finished above Motherwell and can pay more". So maybe not such a good idea...
  2. I always wanted that one, was on order for months but never turned up
  3. Up to a point -- a good number of the comments were (quite reasonably) slagging off the defending. Juke's goal apart, it was hardly a showreel of quality football (or playing surfaces!). Anyway, I'm sure it's cheaper/fairer just to pull everything that infringes their copyright, than to do it on a case-by-case basis.
  4. Just what I was thinking... for a club like us, that's not a "risk", that's a "result"! Of course it would be fantastic to get the group stages, but realistically -- nae chance. So a glamour tie before we wave cheerio is probably about the best we can hope for.
  5. Surprised it took them so long, to be honest!
  6. He's plenty young enough to bulk up a bit more. And who said we're "relying" on him?
  7. I think the "heat of the moment" is actually an integral part of why it's on the list -- the circumstances in which it was scored are just as important as the quality of the strike, in this case (and certainly make up for the lack of any quality build-up play!)
  8. At the age of 20, it's a bit of a stretch to say he's had a career at all, so far. I'd never criticise any footballer for wanting to go and make more money somewhere else if they think they're good enough, though... you never know which club's going to be your last. Although there are obviously good ways and not so good ways to communicate that desire to fans and media.

    Club Song

Surely not the "Motherwell, Motherwell, Go For Good Health Be A Winner as Well" effort that was churned out as part of our sponsorship deal...?

    Europa

Would be ideal for me-- Sporting Fingal's stadium is about 20 mins from my house (Although I'm on holiday in Portugal for the first leg -- how pissed off would I be if we played them away first...)
  12. Thought I read on the 'fishel that they expected the re-sown pitch would be ready for Europe, if we qualified.
  13. You don't, yet... was only stirring up a bit more can-Puma-really-do-claret-and-amber paranoia 3-0, Europe here we come.
  14. Finally sounds like there's actually a crowd there, too.
  15. County have to go for it now... game should open right up.
  16. Can't imagine why anyone would hate Dundee United to be honest! Have had many a good day out to Tannadeechee, and they were a great team to watch in the 80's (but unlike Aberdeen, their fans don't believe this still entitles them to be winning everything 20 years later). United have a long history of bottling it in finals, but I think (hope) they'll probably just scrape it.
  17. Somebody mocked up that shirt in claret and amber (along with a few other current Puma templates) over on FirParkCorner.com, so you can have a swatch over there...
  18. Aye, great... can't think of anything better than watching football in the company of thousands of sweaty English lager louts and sunbed-snatching Germans in tight Speedos
  19. You could always acquire a sudden interest in Formula 1 -- qualifying live on BBC on Saturdays, racing live on BBC on Sundays, all through the summer. (But admittedly not every weekend.) Personally, I have loads of old stuff on the Sky+ and about 6 million DVDs still in their shrinkwrap that all need watching...

    Well Done

Fishel site has him on 9, although they said in the commentary yesterday that was his 10th.

  22. Presumably because he knows it'll wind some folk up. Nowt wrong with that.
  23. That's what annoyed me most about it, tbh... dunno if they both thought the other one was going to stick a foot in while Boyd had his back to goal, but couldn't believe neither of them did.
