  1. Ooft, thought we'd scored there.
  2. Coming into a bit now-- couple of decent chances for Forbes and Hateley in the last couple of mins.
  3. No, but the slope does contribute to the drainage issues, IIRC.
  4. A little birdie told me recently that Everton are still due us two lump sums of £50k as well, which may work in our favour if we attempt to do a deal.
  5. Could go either way... with the pressure off Celtic, they're just as likely to run riot as to not give a monkey's.
  6. First teaser for the new home strip, and first teaser for the new away strip?
  7. Full Time, great 3 points!
  8. Murph getting ready to come on... for Juke, I'd guess... EDIT: Confirmed.
  9. Sounds like he's in great-shot-stopping, crap-catching mode again today alright...

    Jim O'Brien

If you ignore the sensationalist headline, which I'm sure Jim Bett never wrote or even said, he's not saying anything different from what we usually say ourselves when a young player is supposedly being tracked by the OF: go there if you want the money, go elsewhere if you want games.
  11. No, but he wouldn't have been budgeting for more major pitch repairs, either. As he says in the interview, the gate money from a home OF game would pretty much have covered that.

Aye, cos that worked so well last summer.
  13. Full story here, including an interview with Broon, more about the "Sand Siro", and an amusing Andy Russell story... Clicky
  14. The pitch has hardly "come back to haunt us"... this season, at least, we made extensive (and expensive) efforts to rectify it, so it's not as if the club had been ignoring it, or tried to fix it on the cheap. In all that time, Saturday was the first time I would be inclined to say the pitch had a direct influence on the result. And if we do fail to qualify for Europe, it won't be down to that one game-- we've dropped plenty of other points home and away that we shouldn't have.
  15. Yet in the old days, having a keeper who came to claim the ball regardless of who he blootered out the way to get to it was thought to be a Good Thing
  16. At the risk of being accused of happy-clappiness, luck really wasn't on Fraser's side today either. First goal, how many times have you seen the keeper kick the ball off the attacker and the ball actually end up in the net? Very rarely; more often than not, usually trickles wide or balloons over the bar. Stevie Kirk used to try and score like that every week for years by standing in front of the keeper at kick-outs, and I'm not entirely sure he ever did (I remember he had at least one disallowed, though!) Second goal, I'm not so sure Fraser wasn't just trying to knock it out for a shy (haven't watched it back yet, though), and even if he wasn't, Reynolds should probably just have let it go out for one instead of trying to control it at an awkward height in that position with a United forward nearby.
  17. 3-2, Sutton again.... glimmer of hope?
  18. 3-1, game over I fear. Another slip in the build up.
  19. Another goalkeeping blunder, another corner, another goal.
