Excellent news. As much time as I had for Mark McGhee, it's certainly refreshing to have a manager who (for the moment, at least) seems to be able just to go and get the players he needs, rather than waiting for months for his "contacts" to come up trumps.

To be fair to Scott, we also don't know what he actually wrote. By the time a story has been sub-edited to match the available space and the paper's idea of what makes a good story (and this is The Sun we're talking about here), it doesn't necessarily bear much resemblance to the original copy.

But only if you're in the UK... I'd certainly pay to be able to get hold of the highlights properly, not to mention watch games live like we used to be able to on scottishfootball.co.uk, rather than jump through hoops to convince iPlayer that I live somewhere I don't.

Then again, pretty much any team in the SPL (including the OF) would be significantly improved if they still had all their best players from the past 10 years, playing at their peak.

Time will tell. Gannon has a good reputation for bringing through youngsters as well, but right now we need a few players who can slot in right away.
