  1. Fishel site says he's already started 301, and been sub another 6 times. Clicky
  2. To be fair, he never actually said he was at school with any of them Stephen Wright was in my year (Earnock High in Hamilton, btw), played against him in P.E. a good few times! Certainly turned out to be a good solid pro, although have to say I was a wee bit surprised when Rangers signed him for £1.5m, I never thought he was quite that good. (And I suppose he wasn't, as it turned out... although he did do his cruciate while he was there, which didn't help.)

Only because all the 14 year old lassies eventually left for Bebo, leaving behind all the creepy old blokes who were trying to be friends with them
  4. Dunno about scary, but she'll probably be bored stiff after the first five minutes and start annoying the punters round about

If we're to believe what Well73 was told, it hasn't been "allowed" to happen, it was a conscious decision on the part of the players and the club.

That's entirely up to her, not to us or the club.

Ignoring the fact that snagging a Scouse chav wouldn't be my idea of "doing well", he was going out with her long before anyone had ever heard of him anyway...
  8. Only until it leaves your bladder.
  9. Although if Melly is being paid less than Leighton, which seems fairly likely, McGhee would still be saving cash by bringing in Melly (even with a modest salary increase, which you'd imagine he'd want to move jobs).

  11. Certainly the proddie ones, aye (Plenty of those round these parts...)
  12. Opposite for me-- never had any problems convincing their RealPlayer stuff I was in the UK, but have tried everything to get their Flash player working here and still no joy
  13. Somebody'll have to make up an end bit first, then-- it finishes a line before the tune does...
  14. What were you doing in the commentator's y-fronts?
  15. It helps that "Zamora" has the right number of syllables and sounds a bit like "amore", of course
  16. Also now on the Beeb. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/scotlan...ral/8201586.stm

Hmm, reminiscent of the Pony pinstripes... not sure about horizontal stripes though, they make you look fat
  18. I think it's a bit much to say McGhee was "hopeless" too. He certainly didn't cover himself in glory last season, but any manager who gets Motherwell playing the way we did in his first season has to be at least as good as bad, IMHO.
  19. Another reason I suppose, is that Gannon has already established a reputation for finding and bringing through good young players, whereas McGhee was perhaps (and I do mean "perhaps") better at finding more established players on the cheap.
  20. One of my first favourite players, remember him and Willie Irvine scoring a barrowload between them in 81/82. Then Jock Wallace sold him to Accies, in one of his many fan-endearing decisions...
  21. Makes a change from the usual "we're not setting ourselves any targets", I suppose!
  22. Even still, with a full international cap and being less than halfway through a three-year contract, I can't imagine they'd let him go particularly cheaply, at least by League of Ireland standards.
