  1. Have refrained from commenting until now to let all the usual suspects have there tuppence worth £3M +whatever add ons for a club like ours cannot be sneezed at At the moment he has not signed …… club has accepted Celtic’s offer and DT can talk terms with them …… Bournemouth asked to be kept informed of any developments so I take it that the club have informed them of Celtic’s offer and it’s now up them if they want to match it OR better it in order to speak to DT …… who knows if any of his other suitors have also asked the same. No problem with the offer as that’s exactly what our business model is all about and the sooner some people accept that the better for all involved with the club. For DT development point of view think a move to Celtic is a bad one for him Still playing in the same league against the same players should be wanting to test himself in England or abroad against more technical players which I have no doubt he would take in his stride He would still be staying in the West of Scotland where he will be equally loved and despised by either half of the BIGOT Brothers ……… fine when he was playing for The Mighty but good luck to him trying to go out for a quite Saturday night !!!! The further the boy an get away from these idiots the better it will be for his development
  2. Oh yes he can he can sign PCA just as Declan Gallagher and Liam Pawlett have done with us ……… only difference is there is a development fee involved so he cannot sign PCA until fee is agreed with us or they deposit money with SFA
  3. My understanding is if fee cannot be agreed then 50% of the difference between the valuations is added to the lower fee and is deposited with SFA Eg Rangers valuation £150k Motherwell valuation £750k difference = £600 therefore £300k added to £150k would mean Rangers having too deposit £450k with SFA which is closer to our valuation of compensation. It also means we would get our money up front and not be in instalments as I’m sure Rangers would like to do. When tribunal makes a valuation for the player if it’s under the £450k we would have to pay the interest on the difference and likewise if it’s over £450k Rangers would have to pay us the interest on the difference This to my mind is why Jake has not signed on the dotted line Rangers and Hastie can agree personal term but he cannot sign until Rangers deposit the money with SFA money I don’t think that they have to hand. Here’s hoping the club stands their ground and don’t give in !!!!
  4. Think he saved 3 for Carlisle in a penalty in league cup shootout against Liverpool at Annfield
  5. I have it from a very good source that young Hastie came back for pre season over his target weight and not in the best frame of mind Hence he was sent out on loan to Alloa where he got good game time and got himself into shape but did not set the heather on fire with his performances When he returned he only got into the team because Elliot Frear was injured …… fair do’s to him he has taken it with both hands and hit a bit of a purple patch although in the games against Killie and Hibs the opposition seem to have sussed him out. He may well go on to be a world beater we’ll just have to wait and see But as I have said in a previous post we have signed Campbell, Turnbull,Scott and Maguire we made Hastie an offer which it looks like he has refused which is within his rights forba club with our budget to get 4 of our academy players signed up for next season is not a bad return Onwards and Upwards life goes on and we have a few more youngsters who will hopefully kick on next season …… Semple, Brown, Starrs for example Update that to 5 academy players as just announced that young Livingston has signed extended deal ……… well done to the club
  6. From what I have heard the coaching staffs priority from signing academy players was as follows 1. Turnbull 2. Scott 3. Maguire 4. Hastie 5. Livingston considering we also signed up Campbell till 2021 all in all I think the club have done pretty well
  7. Yip that is more realistic Heard it is £4K a week on a 4 year deal
  8. Agree with ya beezer sometimes a player just sticks out see below my post back in September Its taken us a while to get there but all good things come to those who wait At that time I also said that young Barry Maguire would be our centre half for years to come …… we will just have to wait and see on that one Good to know I can still spot a “player” when I see one Posted September 21, 2018 Couple of years ago I watched a young Alan Campbell in the U20 and thought that he had all the attributes to make an impact in the 1st team which he has done once he was given the chance to do so. Also in that team albeit a year younger was David Turnbull and I have taken an interest in his progression ever since. I think that this boy has the ability and attitude to make it to the highest level in the game way beyond Motherwell To my mind he has all the attributes that Campbell brings to the table and a bit more, he can pick a pass and has hit a few screamers from outside the box. This is where I have a problem with Robison … … how do we know if this boy is good enough if he is not given a chance to show what he can do at a higher level. Yes he has been given a couple of outings at the end of last season and to my mind did not look out of place … but we resign Rose, Grimshaw and Gorrin and the boy finds himself way down the pecking order. If anyone is going to the Sligo game I suggest you have a good look a this young boy and see what he could bring to the table IMO he is way beyond his years and if only like Campbell he could just be given a chance who knows where it could lead to.
  9. Sorry ………… But have you watched the 3rd goal Hastie is on the edge of the 18 yard box when Gillespie collects the ball from the corner He sprints 40 - 50 yards to take the throw out in his stride He then is to strong for the first defender and then drops his shoulder as if to go inside and while still going at speed goes to the outside of the 2nd defender This bit of skill is what makes the defender to do the splits and fall making him look like Bambi on ice … great bit of skill by Hastie Hastie then puts the ball throgh the legs of the keeper ………… how many goals are scored with the ball going through keepers legs ?? The highlights are on BBC web site and on official site ………… suggest you and Gazzy go and have a look and just appreciate a great bit of skill from young Hastie
  10. Don’t know what game you were at For the first goal Hastie was brave and put his head in where the keeper could have taken it off As for the third he out mussels the first defender the sits the second one on his arse with his skill and then has the composure to slot it home A bit of credit where credit is due wouldn’t go amiss
  11. If we’re not going to give them game time between now and the end of the season the 2 players that we should be looking to loan out for experience are James Scott and Adam Livingston
  12. His 1st job is to get Adam Livingston and James Scott out on loan Let’s get these two boys playing regularly week in week out for the next 2 to 3 months Look what that has done for young Hastie !!!! If they kick on as well as young Maguire at QOS we have the makings of a exciting young squad for next season Gillespie Maguire Livingston Cadden Campbell Turnbull (If still here) Hastie Scott
  13. With the amount of money he’s made from the game doubt cash comes into it He worked with Robinson and Lasley on match days seen him in the stand both home and away taking notes and disappearing to dressing room at halftime Just wonder if when McCart left us for Celtic how many of our youngster will be tapped up to follow him
  14. Heard he’s away to Celtics U16 …… yes U16s Think that shows his ambitions
  15. Well said … … … not to everyone’s liking but a really good steady pro who seems to go under the radar doing the dirty shift that is appreciated by those around him Your welcome back at Fir Park anytime Andy All the best in your future career
  16. Correct they actually made the team worse if that was at all possible
  17. Sorry but up until today was prepared to give him benefit of the doubt BUT how can anyone explain those substitutions today ……… the back 3 were doing fine and never at any time look under pressure The obvious problem was the midfield where Grimshaw was a waste of a jersey McHugh couldn’t pass water and for god sake please please get Tait back to right hand side where he belongs And as for Main he canny even foul people properly and couldn’t score in a barrel of F****y’s So we end up with 4 forwards on ( 3 of whose 1st touch is a pass) and no one to get the ball to them Im afraid I think he has lost the plot and it’s tie for him to GO and GO now
  18. That farce today should be done under Trade Description Act for trying to impersonate a FOOTBALL MATCH !!!!!!!!!!
  19. Yip the priority has got to be St Midden Killie and Accies games As the Tic will be up for this big time and the way they tend to keep the ball and make opposition teams work I would save the legs of Campbell, Turnbull,Main and Johnston for the more important games coming up. Also change of formation 4 - 5 - 1 for me and try to frustrate them anything we get out of this game is a Xmas bonus!!!! Gillespie Mbulu. Aldred Hartley Dunne Grimshaw Bigi Gorrin Rose Frear Bowman Tell Bowman to empty his tank then substitute him for Salmon at about 55 / 60 minutes
  20. Your right … … was speaking to him on Wednesday night and injury making progress but he doubts if he will play this season
  21. Sorry … … … But it’s got to be horses for courses Livii had about 5 or 6 guys who were 6ft+ They play for set pieces so they can fire in free kicks, corners or long throws We play a midfield of midgets !!!! So what do you expect … … they score from a long throw and a corner If ever there was a time to play hoof ball this was it there is no way you can play football on that surface and no way you can run with the ball so the surface took away everything that Bigi and Grimshaw brought to the party last week.
  22. Picked up knee knock against Rangers … … worse than first thought, heard he could be out for up to a month Young Livingston at left back and Tait to right back Lets stop trying to be smart and stop trying to put square pegs in round holes
  23. Samson going to coach the goalkeepers what NOT to do to make them better goalkeepers
  24. Was Thomson not the ref a few years ago when we were beating Aberdeen 1-0 Aberdeen got a penalty’s which was saved (can’t remember keeper) and twat face Thomson made them take it again due to encroachment, how many times have you seen that happen. Needless to say Aberdeen scored with the retake
