  2. That summed it up! I mind hundreds of folk leaving early sitting around me 6-2 down v Hibs and I was shaking my head given it was last home game of season (pitch invasion?) etc thinking look at these fannies. So the 2(3) goals I missed that night is there karma.
  3. It was years since I left a game early until left at 6-0 at aberdeen the other week. Don't think I could deliberately boycott a game, not just yet. As much as change could be the answer for me personally I don't think the current situation warrants a boycott.
  4. Players are shite too right enough.
  5. what the fucks going on?! Don't look like going down fighting. We're in freefall. Few weeks ago I didn't think it was time for a change. But our form has relegation stamped all over it! Times up Mcghee. Unless we win 6-5
  6. Right we're 4-0 down and to be honest I don't think Aberdeen have been that good. We however have been beyond shite. Scrappy 1st goal. Samson shite at 2nd. Combination of errors at 3rd..... And wait for it a great 4th goal. Far too soft all over the park. Keepers pish. Frear (at 1/0 down) looks nervous as hell. Mone the 2nd half!
  7. All we had to do today was knock the ball out for a throw in to get a sub on..... As Chalmers was off for treatment at 10 v 10 Rangers had virtually all the ball. Instead we got a player (harshly) sent off. Infuriating! Am 32 and asked ma Faither the night to tell me when will things get better being a well fan?! He says he still believes! Me too. Not song long ago we were immense. Dortmund away for example!
  8. No. Mcghee should be well capable of keeping us in the league. Only at the end of the season should we be discussing this.
  9. Really looking forward to Saturday's game. Home game is absolutely winnable.
  10. I thought he was a total donkey after opening game of the season. Fancy footwork but couldn't finish his dinner. Shows what I know
  11. McGhee with a bit of luck nearly got his tactics spot on yesterday. Though with it being a cup game I'd have liked to see a similar approach as to the playoff match at Ibrox under Baraclough. We gave Rangers too much respect yesterday. Granted we no longer have Marvin (note Dom Thomas is finally turning it on now - at Queens- let's hope he comes back with some confidence he can turn it in at a higher level) on the left, the large pitch might have been ideal for Ainsworth. Then again Lionel didn't even get a run out at 2-1 down when we really should have chucked the kitchen sink at it. McDonald has to do so much better with his chance. As for McManus doing a Stevie Woods late on, what chance have you got when arguably our most experienced player (for some time) sells the jerseys like that. Celebrations for Moults goal worth the entrance fee but so disappointed with the capitulation at the end - however it was kind of expected. We scored too early. That's 3 games v old firm we've lost from winning positions to virtually last minute goals this season. Utter bollocks. We need to come out all guns blazing on Saturday and maintain the effort (after a 2 week break) and concentration for 90 minutes and show the support they hurt as much as we do after yesterday.
  12. Looking forward to the 2nd half. 1. Good first half performance 2. The guy who is in charge of the tannoy has given me a sore head
  13. Just watched highlights there, Johnsons booking for celebrating is a disgrace. Jumped the mini advertising board and stops at front of stand to celebrate with the zero fans allocated seats there. Enough is enough with these petty rules. Basically he's been booked for daring to enjoy scoring a goal. Totally shite rule.
  14. Aye that's what I'll do. Got the puma home shirt few seasons ago without sponsor, has been one of my favourites (just for that reason), happy days.
  15. Was thinking about getting new home top on tuesday. Anyone able to comment on sizes, last year the home large was too tight and had to upgrade to an XL. I think there was a fair bit of chat about sizes last year.
  16. PAFC seem to be raging about this. Hope he's better than the last McHugh we had at Fir Park.
  17. Had a quick read at the article, not sure how likely this is to happen however talk of the fixture being before the split (no fixtures even announced yet) and both teams going away for a week in advance.... If Dundee are needing points to stay in the league how beneficial will this trip be? Almost guaranteed the majority of the crowd will be rooting for Celtic too. No home advantage at all. Daft. Dundee living in a fantasy world if this is happening for a league game. I could see it being more viable after the split with little to play for, almost like a friendly match - but appreciate turning a fixture around like that in a few weeks woukd be pretty tough.
  18. I'm neither for or against a pitch invasion, however have been on the pitch several times in the last 31 years of going to Fir Park - more so when I was much younger mind you. Remember the pitch invasion at the end of the game v Dunfermline after Van Der Gaags equaliser, sheer joy. Also remember a final home game when Benito Kemble walked off the park in his y fronts after giving up his shirt, shorts and boots to joyous well fans. Everything's all very PC nowadays. It seemed ridiculous today for a crowd of 4444, what actual harm would have any potential pitch invader have caused today, or any other end of season bar playing v the old firm where things get a little bit silly (other than to the club). I wonder how servere these sanctions/ fine was going to be? Are we talking playing behind closed doors/ point deductions? Or just a hefty fine. All total overreactions Footballs changing all the time, things like trial by sportscene, over zealous stewarding/ policing.... I don't know what to make of it. On the other hand, last season v Rangers, the celebrations were mildly spoiled at the end, wouldn't it have been great if the players had stayed out pitch side and went mental at full time instead of running for cover. Was there not a season (bar '91 cup final aftermath) where all the fans came onto pitch whilst the players reappeared in main stand. It's all very nice the players can get there kids on the pitch at full time and do a wee lap of honour but I'm feeling days like today they needn't have bothered- I'd like to bring back the old style lap of honour, stay out on the pitch, don't bother getting your wife and never mind the kids (they can come out in there own time), never mind the pre printed t-shirts either. Disappearing up the tunnel, taking ages whilst we're blinded by a flourescent glare. Bah humbug ehh! Still totally delighted with top 6 finish. I had £100 on us at 10-1 after McGhee got job so season tickets already purchased for next season. Delighted!
  19. Leann Dempster spotted on game of thrones tonight
  20. Just home from Dundee, pretty miserable driving conditions but great coming home with 3 points. McManus was immense tonight, can't remember him not winning a header or tackle. Lasley played well too. Gomis came onto a game after shaky start. Faddy, pretty impressive, some great wee touches before making passes. Skippy was a nuisance all night, two good goals and was only caught offside the 10 times, ha. Enjoyed Uniteds goal mouth scrambles resulting in nothing too, the type of luck we've not been getting recently. Bring on Partick now!
  21. I'd pay more for the strip without the sponsor if it was an option.
  22. Reading through this thread, many of the games mentioned are bringing back some great memories. Some games that stick in my mind weren't classics but had some great goals/ moments. The one that I often recall is beating Dundee 2-1 at Dens. All the Dundee fans turned out to see Cannigia on his home debut. We were 2 up first 10 mins with Stuart Elliott getting a double, I'm sure two headers. Another goal I remember was against Dundee, Steve McMillan free kick at fir park near the end right into the top corner. Atmosphere at Easter Rd for the league cup semi, the atmosphere at Pittodrie 1-1 (Murphy Sco Cup) and after Craig Reid scored from a yard out. Nancy away. Odense away.... Ryan's bar. I was thoroughly delighted when so many Well fans that sit around me left early 6-2 down to Hibs on our last home game of the season (traditionally the team come into the pitch etc) providing me with a practically empty row to run and jump onto some random Well fan at 6-6. David Ferrerre's hat trick. Phil O'Donnell and my mum passed away within two days of each other and despite not even being at the 2-2 draw at Tynecastle- infact I was in Paris at the top of the Eiffel tower for my mother in laws birthday when I got a text update from my dad to say Porter 2-2 I remember the feeling of elation and I was no where near the game. Beating Hearts 6-1. Beating Rangers 6-1 over two games. So many great games/ times watching Motherwell, usually accompanied with some real frustration, for every James McFadden there's a hundred Andy Roddies.
