  1. If I confirm that the exact number of 'Well fans at the game on Sunday will be 8,822, will that keep everybody happy who is obsessing over the ticket sales?

is enquiring how well our club is going to be represented by the support at hampden by the powers of social media really what would be described as obsessing? If thats the case then maybe asking any questions should be stopped immediately. Wouldn't want our fans to be obsessive.
  2. All the fawning over Brendan Rodgers gets on my tits TBH

the millions they make from the group stages will never make a difference to whether we will challenge there dominance. So if we can make a some good money from there qualification and get a right good laugh watching them make an arse of themselves in the group stages, I don't mind.

  3. No reason to doubt you mate.l but I was convinced a saw a tweet earlier quoting 6k but now I can't find it.

Finger crossed we do take 9,000. That would be an unbelievable effort considering our home attendance last season was generally 3,000-3,500.

I really dont understand why the club are being so secretive about how many tickets have been sold? At the moment we have a home support of roughly 4000. Anything above this is a bonus. I've seen a few people ask on twitter about numbers and there questions are ignored. One guy even asked how many buses where leaving from firpark and the answer he got was lots. Anyway can't wait for Sunday now. Convinced myself we're definitely going to win. COYW
  4. The gaffer & players knew how shite a game it was going to be and Robinson set out the team for that. I feel if we were being honest we also thought that it might be too. The facts are we adapted to the pathetic excuse for a footballing surface better than the team who train & play on it on a daily/weekly basis. Even thought our boys started to play the ball around a bit late on in the game. Felt accies took diving and time wasting to a new level yesterday, in particular the penalty claim. Can't believe a card never came out for that one. There looked to be a healthier home support compared to recent games but it still looked bad in the highlights. Onwards and upwards to hampden for us. Could be the end of the road for accies, given all thats going on. Both on and off the park.

  5. I think thats all fair enough.

Anyone think were missing McManus, McDonald or Ainsworth?

McDonald and Ainsworth, not in the slightest. Have probably brought in atleast 4 of our new players on the strength of there wages. McManus is still around giving out plenty of advice to the defence.
  6. There was a number of players who burst a gut today on that piss poor excuse of a park. However I'm giving motm to Carson, had a couple of cracking saves and really commanded his box throughout the game. Playing with a back 3 As we do you can see the confidence the players have that Carson will come out for crosses.

  7. Unbelievable loyalty from a young player who I'm sure would on the radar of a number of other teams. Who knows just how long we will manage to hold onto him for but he has almost guaranteed the club a decent transfer fee if he ever leaves

  8. what's wrong with fans going into a game with some optomisim, given how we have played recently? Of course you are more than entitled to be pessimistic about our chances. It's only fans giving opinions after all. As long as Robinson and the players are confident.

wouldn't imagine Hartley would give an opinion either way as to who was the better team or least shite if you Like, given thats the next 2 teams they play.
  9. This is all sounding too cocky for my liking! Accies do pretty well at home and certainly don't take many doings. Hartley said he went to their game against Rangers and it was nothing like a 4-1 game.

  10. Why would anybody want less fans at a game?

The '91 Cup Final was full of people who were just there for the occasion. I was standing beside mates who are Accies fans and one mate who is a Celtic fan. I can't imagine enjoying it any more if they hadn't been there.

We should be encouraging as many non-Well fans as possible to every game - we might end up converting one or two.

    get new mates.

  11. Talk about stating the obvious and hammering the shit out of it !!!

Are you a health and safety inspector for your day job???

Here's a novel idea. Why don't we just enjoy this fabulous spell of supporting our team for what it is and let the management team who actually know about football do the worrying about the next round of games.

check the posters name then move on before you read. Some on here will only find the negativity regardless. If we manage to get to the league cup final they'll explain in detail how it can only be bad for the club as it will affect our league performances. Im putting words in mouths I guess but they'll find something. Just move on mate and ignore.
  12. Thought in the first half we were a bit subdeud yet still in control of the game. Came out in the second half and totally dominated thistle. Some really good performances in all areas of the park, Thought tait and Campbell were outstanding today. Spoke to a couple of jags fans on the way home, and to use there words "thought we got a doing today off your team but in fairness we are not the only team thats going to get a doing off the Well this season" now when supporters of other clubs say this you know our team must be doing something right. Bring on the accies. COYW.
