absolutely nothing, except the refs interpretation. Which in Scottish football has been shown to be a joke. What was the difference between Wilson's challenge on Bowman (yellow card) and Dunne's at Ross County (red)

according to flow on Twitter, Campbell was on standby for the u21s.First post so go easy on me
On entering the ground my first impression was of the properly structured and organised warm up that Keith was conducting. No aimless kicking the ball back and forward which achieves very little.
If it wasn't for Alan Campbell my man of the match would be Hartley. Form the first minute he was organising the guys around him. He is very composed in all he does. Maybe it's too early but if he wants to play for us he should be offered a permanent contract asap. Campbell is immense. Should be the first name on the team sheet. Why is he not in the Scotland u21 squad? Completely outplayed Wilson of Kilmarnock who is in the squad.
Cedric is intimidating in the best possible way. If his strong fair challenge was a booking then the game has gone mad.
Tait has adapted well to playing on the left. However he may have to be left out when Frear is fit. Cadden has to play further up the park. He is not as dangerous when he has to carry the ball so far. Grimshaw to go in there?
Moult and Bowman are developing a partnership that will terrorise defences. Attitude of both is first class.
Last thought. Bobby Madden is hopeless but he's not the only one.

Who ever edited that loves a bit of Louis. Made it look like he done everything but play in goals. I thought he had one of his quieter games. still played well though.

We'll know just how well alan played later when the spotscene pundits start to go on about how we'll never be able to keep hold of him beyond the next window. Standard crap every time we have a decent up and coming player.

Not unless he's in the opposition dugout wrecking one of our rivals.Anybody want mark mcghee back?

I was delighted when Steve got the job. Having a manager who is actively involved on the training ground to the level he is is a big plus. The building job he has had to do in such a short space of time with the budget constraints he has live with has been fantastic. With the help of flow and the rest of the club he has brought the team and the fans closer together than they have ever been, and he says this is only the beginning. Who knows where this may end up but let's just enjoy the ride without getting to carried away, and get him on longer contract as soon as possible because if he continues this way he will eventually attract attention from others.

I'm quite sure any lessons that need to be learnt will be done so by Robinson/lasley. As for us supporters, we can just enjoy that winning feeling and not shite ourselves about what might go wrong in the next game.We won so don't take any lessons on board?
That's a great game plan for when we go away to a team who, like Rangers and St. Johnstone, will probably be Top 6 this season.

After watching the highlights, Ryan's finish was even more impressive. I thought at the game he had just smashed it, also Louis was very unlucky not to get a goal from open play. Nice touch by steelman to go into the stand and celebrate with the young well fans at Ryan's goal.

Agreed. In games like today where we get a bit more possession. Where stevie can get his foot on the ball his passing ability is still very important. He can still whip a cracking ball into the opposition box asweĺl.I think if he can stay fit Hammell still has a lot to offer.

Campbell. Easy decision.

Great performance, particularly in the second half. Never looked in any real danger. 1 or 2 never put in there best performance however they played there part in keeping a clean sheet. Big kipre took everything off Irwin except his pocket money, he never looked like he had to get out of 1st gear throughout the game. Thought hammel settled his side of the park when he came on at half-time. However Campbell bossed the show today, what a shift he put in, great performance. Thought Ryan had a good game upfront, plenty running off the ball and a great finish for his goal. Can't be unhappy at 3 on the trot at home. Just wished we could start games better. Saying that the gaffer spots what is required to turn things round.

Hate to put this in the former player thread but faddy has signed for queen of the South on a short term deal. Good luck faddy.

according to killie fans site there has been an outbreak of tonsillitis affecting a possible 5 players.W7 D2 l1 in last 10 games for the well. Our squad has improved this season. Hard to see anything other than a home win. Will stick with 2-0 Well.

i would like to think that that whatever scenario the call was made or taken that he had the best interest of motherwell fc whilst doing so. That's if it was even him at the other end of the phone. You know we were actively TRYING to sell him though, right? Our club might well have instigated the call to get McHugh to talk Ben up.
-
There is no proof it is, however I would be disappointed if any player (never mind our club captain) was invoked in anyway in assisting an other club to come in for one of our players. Even if it was just an opinion. Regardless of how good a move it was for the club. Again, there isn't any proof.

watched this interview earlier in the week. Spoke in decent terms about his early times with the club. Couldn't believe it when he said he was on 250 per week. No wonder he spent so much time trying to move on. I'm quite sure most of us were on better wages at the time.I have watched a few videos on Open Goal where ex pro Simon Ferry interviews mainly Old Firm players. The interviews are a bit more realistic and less bland than the usual tosh. His most recent one is with Scott McDonald. The first episode is about his early career and for the last few minutes he talks about the mental dressing room he entered at Fir Park during his first spell with us. The pattern seems to be to release a series of episodes progressing through the players career so in later versions Scott might talk about us again when he came back to us.
This is a link but not being very computer savvy it might not work.

Feel good factor to continue. 2-0 'well.

Well done lads. Great effort considering the number of young players who are currently out on loan.

The club is finally being run with people with a bit of balls. Manager looks to have built a squad that the fans seem to be happy with. Season ticket sales are touching 4000. The optamisim is higher than its been for a long time. Down to the team on the park now. Next saturday can't come soon enough now.COYW.

I don't think we'll get relegated either. However it looks like the gaffer is trying to build something that could have us in the top half of the table, not fighting off relegation continually. It took us 3 years to win it the first time around (for me) and it was still great fun. Much more entertaining than hovering around relegation for successive years.
However, even if we lose a player or two this window, I don't think we will be relegated.

1st division was a great laugh but only because we won the league and gained promotion. Our business plan stated that we are required to sell 1 player per year, not have a sale every time a window opens. We also now have money from Johnson sale as well. Offer the others better terms to sign extensenions now. If they're good enough they'll get there turn. Or they can sit on the low wages they're on. Anyway I'm just panicking, only lost the one so far. This is killing my holiday. Some of the best entertainment I had was when I watching our team in the First Division.
However, our business model requires us to sell a player a year to pay off our debts and balance the books. If we didn't do that, we'd never have seen guys like Moult play for us.
We're not going to end up cash-rich regardless. More a case of basic financial management.
-
What's with the sell sell sell nonsense. This is ment to be about entertainment. If we lose the spine of our team we are looking at relegation. Let one go at best and keep the rest. Money in the bank but sitting in the championship isn't my idea of entertainment.

It's interesting to see how everyone values our players so differently, guess it's really just all about personal opinions. Myself, I wish this transfer window would just get to f**k. I'm quite happy with the squad we have and would like to how it would get on. Atleast till the next window when all this circus starts again.
