  1. Great prospect! looking forward to seeing him develop but will be interesting to see if he forces his way into the first team this season
  2. Brilliant news lasley's committed but expected nothing less. The guys improved with age and if he had been this good at 26 would have went on to great things I think. Modern day legend though and leads by example on and off the pitch. KEITH!
  3. I know that there is no money coming in from TV and sponsorship just now and with Rangers out the league its even worse for us financially...But does anyone else find it pretty depressing that we are having such a good period of sustained success (for a club our size) finishing runners up, in Europe 6 out of 7 seasons etc and we are still seemingly on the brink of financial meltdown? what would our situation be if we had finished 6th and 7th for the last few years? I also, like the statement said, find it disappointing that we can only muster 4,500 fans a week for league games when we are sitting second place as it wont get any better for us and when we can attract large crowds in for home games in Europe so clearly the support is there when the occasion arises However, why should people be forced to pay £22 to watch players signed from 3rd division English clubs? and as much as I personally enjoy the games the football on show in the SPFL is pish. There needs to be a vast reduction in price to get supporters back and we clearly arent in the position to reduce prices so what about the SPFL subsidising ticket prices or the government getting involved in it?
  4. Totally gutted at Faddys departure as well. I can see the reasons for letting him go but I still feel he could have contributed for us. Fair enough the wages he was probably on outweighed his contribution when he wasnt fit but all you need to see is the fans reaction to him (coming on as a sub against aberdeen for example) completely idolised and with his passion he showed for the club and the international experience he had I think its a no brainer to have resigned him. As for the 5 striking options, Sutton and Anier I accept, Erwin is completely unproven at this level, moore looks a long term injury (dont think he was going to be much better than Mchugh anyway) and Boab will never be good enough imo Some players are worth more than there contribution on the pitch and McFadden had to be one of them Hope he goes to the MLS and tears it apart
  5. Right the guy is an arsehole on the pitch. But a good solid versatile defensive player that I guarantee other SPFL teams would snap up given the chance. Would be a good signing IMO
  6. Got to agree that the defence needs strengthening. If ramsden isnt fit then we need a right back and a keeper is obviously a must. I understand the tactics issue as well though and think if we played someone in the same role reid was used in on sunday we would become more solid overall. This is probably more for the 'ins and outs' thread but I wouldnt say no to Both MacDonald and Hamill from hearts
  7. Still sitting here completely buzzing after watching all these videos and seeing the pictures again. They celebrations at the end were something else and that game will take some beating! Mon the Well!

    Aberdeen

Hutchy played outstanding with the two last ditch tackles pushing him ahead of the others. Really solid disciplined performance from the full team though. Bring on next season!
  9. Dont see anything wrong with a pitch invasion (as long as the players dont get kicked! etc) To fine the club for such trivial incidents is ridiculous when compared to the behavior of old firm fans pretty much anywhere they go. I wonder if dundee will get fined for there title celebrations last saturday? It just highlights more problems with the SFA, SPFL and the total backwards nature of scottish footballs governing bodies

    Inverness

McManus...not much to choose from mind you. However important 3 points at the end of the day
  11. Just have to echo everyone else in saying its an unbelievable achievement considering the players we lost and the consistent high levels of performance over the last 6 or 7 years is outstanding. With the budget we have compared to teams like aberdeen, hibs, dundee utd, hearts (before administration) it just shows how amazing it really is. Just wish the scottish game wasn't so screwed financially and we could bring players in that would allow us to compete in some way when we actually play in europe
  12. What is the purpose of the bucket collection? Doesnt sound too promising for the Well Society if we are having to resort to methods like this to fund it
  13. Really poor all over the park today...forced into a choice probably Reid since he never directly caused a goal. Possibly the worst I have ever seen Hutchy
  14. Ridiculous that Leitch is being touted for a move already! hes played half a dozen games and looks a great prospect but this seems like the usual shite from the papers and journalists up here. Determined to sell any player with potential. No wonder our games in a disastrous state. Like its not bad enough we have no sponsorship or money in our game without every small bit of hope (Guald, Allan,Randolph, Ojamma etc) getting sold in the papers from the word go
  15. Pretty difficult game and I think it will be one of the results of the season if we get a win. Would take a draw right now though as that would basically guarantee Europe again. Hoping we take a good crowd up there as well because its a big game. Securing Europe shouldn't be taken lightly just because we have been involved a lot after the last few years. You never know when we could return to mid table mediocrity
  16. I think 2nd is going to be just out of reach now after the last couple of results. If we can get 7 points before we play Aberdeen then I would hope that would be enough for 3rd and if we are able to beat the sheep for 2nd on the final day then that would be tremendous. But at the end of the day 3rd place would be a brilliant season all in. Finishing 4th though after our league position for most of the season and the poor cup performances would be disappointing for the fans and financially
  17. Quite happy with that team assuming Ainsworth is injured. happy to see leitch in and angol out as well as that is far better than trying to play vigurs deeper like Saturday thought that was a strange one when leitch being a straight swap for carsy was so obvious . Kerr at right mid is a bit unorthodox but away from home can help the defence out better than any other options. Feeling optimistic, 2-1 Well
  18. Quite disappointed for Hammell that he didn't get on last night or at any other point in the previous 2 squads he was involved in but to be fair the team had played well. As for whether he was good enough to be there or not I think he was well worth a call up and even if only a short term solution would have been solid if called upon. He's the all time SPL appearance holder playing with, as someone already said, the 2nd best team in Scotland over the last 5 years. Even at 31 the only mistake I can recall him making all this season so far was a miscontrol against Aberdeen that ended up resulting in a penalty for the sheep and in every other game has played well. Great servant, Great player(still) and we are definitely lucky to have had him over the years.
  19. I definitely think we are improving with every game and 9 points out of 5 games is a pretty good return considering it looks like Inverness and Aberdeen are going to be very hard teams to beat. The passing moves look slicker than before and everyone seems to be getting on the same wavelength. The criticism of Hollis is completely unfair as he has not made a mistake in a competitive game yet and I will hate to see peoples reactions if he does actually cause a goal. Also cant understand what makes people think Neilsen will be any better? Major positives though is that Stuart Carswell looks like he will make the step up and could be a great asset. hes pretty quick and strong and looks to be growing in confidence and McFadden and Vigurs are still pretty ineffective (even though i thought that was Vigurs best game yesterday) and if they can sharpen up or find a bit of the form they both have showed previously then I think we will be a really strong team.
  20. Not confident about tonight at all I'm fearing an embarrassing scoreline with our defences recent form. I would start McFadden until he's knackered then bring on Humphrey to make and impact hopefully 2-1 Well probably 3-0 Celtic
  21. I have 1 adult ticket and 2 juvenile tickets for the cooper tonight. Buy the adult ticket I will give you the juveniles for free
