  1. Because they are slime ball bully hypocritical fuckwits of the highest order, that's why.
  2. They got 10-2 the other day and it failed.
  3. For the SFA to step in both the SFL and the SPL need to suspend their rule books. Do you think they would get the 11-1 votes to do that?
  4. Buzz is at Ayr for a reason. Division 2 is about his level.
  5. Me neither to be honest and if this does come to pass then I really am finished for good. He looked straight at the people in the room and categorically stated, without any ambiguity, that Motherwell wouldn't support such a plan. If we were to support it then it would be nothing other than deception on Mr Weir's part. I do think he meant what he said though and I hope I'm right.
  6. You're only as good as your last Friday night live on the telly fixture so we are fucking amazing.
  7. At the forum on Thursday night Derek Weir denied any talk of an SPL 2 and said if there was a proposal that meant Rangers were parachuted through the leagues then Motherwell would not support it. I suspect that would also require an 11-1 vote so I'm not sure if it would pass.
  8. I just re read it and I see what you mean.
  9. I was wondering that myself. Surely he was meaning St Mirren and their Chairman was to blame.
  10. I have to disagree. I think the man has been woeful at his job and needs to go now. I don't even think he has been good at securing sponsorship. If he was we would have one now.
  11. His PR and communication skills are atrocious. He is never done talking down the current system of the scottish game. A Chief Executive should be talking the game up and put a positive spin on things no matter what. Ask Geral Ratner about that. The guy went out there seeking sponsorship for a new model and didn't once think of a plan B. His incompetence has no ceiling and he has no authority with the fans of the game. I heard about 10 Doncaster interviews about reconstruction and I learned more about these proposals in a 2 hour meeting at fir park the other night than I did from anything Doncaster had to say. What is the point in paying him 200k if the clubs do a better job themselves. Even our own board have serious concerns about Mr Doncaster.
  12. Doncaster says he will not resign. When will he realise that he is not wanted by the fans and has zero authority in our game. DONCASTER GO NOW!!
  13. Yes when I said interesting I meant It will be interesting to hear all the details.
  14. What other business wouldn't have a contigency plan? The people running our game are totally inept and are out of touch with the fans who are the lifeblood of the game. Stewart Milne is the biggest hypocrite in Scottish football.
  15. Let's hope Doncaster resigns now. He is totally inept and has no authority to lead or deliver change in the SPL. DONCASTER OUT!! I suspect that we will get a league sponsor and that any sponsor would be just waiting to see what happened with the talks. I also suspect that there was a bit of scaremongering going on with regards to the other SPL clubs towards the fans and any dissenting clubs.
  16. If they were to do it they wouldn't do it until during the season once they are sure they have maximised season ticket sales.
  17. I have a feeling that he will lose his bottle and vote yes.
  18. In fairness it is an extra 200k and that extra money can help them fund a youth infrastrucure that can only help them moving forward. Make no mistake 200k is a hell of alot of money to the likes of Motherwell never mind Morton and Raith Rovers. Again that's if the extra cash was used sensibly. This season Partick Thistle will get 60k for winning the First Division but if their undersoil heating were to break down and needing replaced that would wipe that 60k out. Don't understimate the impact that this money will have on these clubs.
  19. By the way I found out last night from Leeann that the Ross County game will be live on BBC Alba. She said that the deal with ALBA gave them an option of 3 live games a year and they have never ever taken it up. This year they have taken it up and they have decided to cover 3 of Ross County's games.
  20. No figures were actually put on the Sky deal but he did say that Sky have valued the new set up higher than the staus quo. I don't know how they come up with that because if there is no appeal in St Mirren v Dundee now then why does it suddenly become more interesting just because it is part of a play off league?
  21. I actually don't think they are chasing the money as such. Aye finances are a huge factor but I do think they are trying to increase the quality of the second tier and close the gap and whether we like it or not finance has to be a huge part of that. Derek Weir qualified this by saying that if we were relegated (under current financial model) we could survive for 1 year. If we didn't come straight back up then we would be in real trouble and the future of our club would be at stake. Under the proposals the winner of the second tier will go from getting 60k to about 260 k and that's before you include any extra tv revenue that the middle 8 will generate. Nevertheless, I agree that this propsal is not the answer and I don't think Raith v St Mirren or Morton v Kilmarnock will generate anymore interest than what we have now. See I don't think these propsals will be a means to an end and the reason for that is the voting structure. One of the issues that is locked down for 3 years is increasing the league. By that time Rangers will be back in the SPL and they and Celtic will be back to holding the aces. In my opinion it's no coincidence that the lockdown is for 3 years and again In my opinion the idea that this is an excercise to aid the progression to an expanded league is pie in the sky. If it was a voting structure change would be part of this package. I said exactly the same thing when Jim Spence broke the news but sometimes we should listen to the club as well as demand the club listen to us. It's important to know why they are making the decision. It's fact that peoples views changed after the discussion last night. It was an informative night and I am glad I went along even if I was in the minority int he end. Sadly I would have to chose the status quo and basically when I put my hand up at the end of the night against these proposals that's what I was doing. 3 major issues for me that I can't accept is the 3 year lockdown, this is 3 years for a reason and nobody will convince me otherwise. The voting structure that is still 11-1 on major issues is also a major reason. I did state if this was really a start of a progression to a bigger league I would compromise and grudgingly support it but as I have said I think this is pie in the sky with the 11-1 voting structure. If this was a truly merging of the bodies it would be more than 12 clubs who would decide on an expansion of the top flight. It should be 75% of the 42. If this was in place I would support it. The third reason is the split structure which I utter detest and I would only be able grudgingly accept it if there was a guarantee of a progression to a bigger league.
