  1. I had a look back at the 2013/14 In's and Out's and you've been consistent in your scepticism of Twardzik despite getting both barrels from a few who have either changed their tune or went to ground. You were correct a year ago and when questioned his size you got abuse with people citing Messi as an example why your opinion was wrong. I think he's a capable young lad purely let down by his gene's and there's nothing he can do about that. Unfortunately for him, we've seen what having someone with a physical presence does subconsciously for the back 4. I think Baraclough has recognised this and with his limited funds he's still went for a keeper despite having a number of options available. This can only be cause he thinks this is key to us shipping goals and the confidence that the guy behind (as a defender) you will mop up for you. Pearson has been brought in to be the driving force in midfield. A ball winner and scrapper in the mould of Jennings is what I think we require to give us a chance of dominating the midfield. We've been bossed there for 18 months (yes in plenty of games even despite our 2nd place finish last season). One more player for me, leave some in the pot for the summer as we do have enough to get us over the line when our injuries come back into contention again.
  2. Tom Hateley held a consecutive games record and now our right backs get 45 minutes max.
  3. He's their best player, however if the fee they get allows them to bring in a couple (or more) new faces, who knows they could be gems and they then have a bit of strength in depth and options. We've managed to bring unfancied in on the cheap and they've done well and made the team stronger .... Clancy, Gunning, Jennings, Coke However I doubt they could add enough quality and offer more strength than when our injuries return to the fold. It's starting to look like a straight shoot out between us and St Mirren to play the currants.
  4. We'll never know which direction the club would have went if Boyle hadn't came in. In his tenure we've had the lions share of our Euro outings, finished best of the rest quite a few times and never dropped out the top league. Yes he got caught up in the moment but so did a lot of clubs.
  5. Simple thing is, don't give him the opportunity to make a decision by being clever and everyone's happy. This thread is a knee jerk reaction similar to quite a lot of stuff on here recently.
  6. Headline: Boyle looking to bum fags shocker .......
  7. We could sell the naming rights to a posh welly company ..... 2 birds, one stone
  8. I hope a few who have been too quick to post disparaging remarks against a number of people Andrew tributes may take note going forward. If an outlet for anger is required, direct it accordingly.
  9. Do they though? A tradesman generally deals with tools and other inanimate objects. A change of tac with a power drill or a quite word on the side with a bit of 2" x 4" won't get a reaction, however when you're dealing with people then there's a good chance you will. Therefore not a fair analogy.
  10. Looks like a friendly journo at the BBC has un-muddied the waters. Henrik's own statement suggested an extension wasn't on offer, turns out we tried to get him permanently. BBC
  11. Nacho Novo has been told to PFO by Rangers from Murray Park due to his support of a fans group. Offer him training facilities .... thoughts?
  12. Useless with names, could you do it like the last day of school favourite Guess Who next time?
  13. What some are failing to recognise is that talented 16-25 year olds are being pursued by the other 100 professional clubs in the UK. A lot can offer more money and a lot will be more attractive prospect than potentially being in a dogfight as that breeds a different style of play not conducive to development (only could add a degree of mental robustness). A lot of us would sign for Motherwell because of affinity but some guy from Brechin or Scunthorpe doesn't have the same motivations. Baraclough's remit must have been, get us to the end of the season intact and then you can tinker and dabble in the summer. Saturday showed he's slowly having an effect.
  14. Sadly Andy mine was more on the money. Bugger it!
  15. English is evidently your strongpoint where Maths isn't by the looks of it. If we do lose the next 4 games those won't seal our fate, it will be the preceding 20, however regardless I don't agree with you if we do.
  16. How we perform against Ross County and St Mirren will determine our season, if we lose the next 4 as is the premise of this thread doesn't mean the season is over and relegation is assured. All three teams will get the odd result against the other 9 in the league here and there. Just typical thread from Dewell.
  17. What the line up? Twardzik Reid - Ramsden - McManus - Watt Kerr - Carswell - Law - Pearson Sutton - Erwin
  18. I didn't realise they weren't mutually exclusive.
  19. That's no different to most of our current squad at present. If he's put in a shift whenever he's been in C&A then he would have reason to feel the criticism is unjustified. I've seen glimpses of foresight and 2 seconds ahead of play you need in that midfield to forward link. However whither he doesn't have the legs, feels its not his responsibility or apathy, he hasn't offered much in the way of protection or grit in winning the ball back. Maybe he would elsewhere, when anyone moves on they see it as a chance to start afresh.
  20. New procedures trialed in Switzerland allow the grafting of a first touch and ability.
  21. You should handle our transfers Ramsden out for £500k to English Championship side. Darren Fletcher in on loan because LVG has always had a soft spot for us. Job done!
  22. That'll clear some to boo from when the teams come out until the final whistle. Yeah he was a fanny as a young boy, most of us would look back and say the same of ourselves. If he has fight about him and shows a number of the current team up then it will be a success. Look forward to the usual suspects showing up on here to cover their arses so in 4 months they can say "told you so".
  23. Yeah, that's why I mentioned the snooker tables. Issue for me was it was like sitting in someone's basement, always expected to see a door swing open and have a guy in leather with a gimp mask on.
