  1. Just got the weekly preview email .... Biggest home win ..... 2-1, not that bothered if stats are of that ilk
  2. Did you compile that post yourself or able to copy and paste it from a website? If so, which one?
  3. But playing during a summer and the rapid regeneration it offers means the pitch reaches the end of the season in November and is better nick to see out the next few months. Even more so if there aren't any games and undersoil heating over the worst of our weather.
  4. Relevant to us at present if Les decides to sell to another party. Anyone cast any light on why the SFA and SPFL are against it? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-31939962
  5. Interesting to know if Mikey was pushed or has walked. http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2015/03/18/vacancy-head-groundsman/
  6. Well this was a big change, however much more user friendly.
  7. I guess we'll see who's more prophetic in 3 weeks time. I'll promise not to say "I told you so" if you do also
  8. You've also omitted Partick Thistle, safe to say with them facing the top 3 and us in their remaining fixtures picking up 3 points will be good going before facing us. That puts them on 34. While we're on 22 I think even a conservative estimate of 5 points from the next 3 games isn't too much from us. Then we play them and most Motherwell fans would expect a win. 4 points difference with 5 to play is nothing including another 6 pointer is nothing.
  9. With respect Busta, I'd rather hear it directly from him than you paraphrase it. I'd like to know if he walks at the end of January 2020 regardless of where the club is or he has that Plan B.
  10. It wasn't designed to be negative, a lot of the questions posed where a mixture of common sense and preaching to the choir. Yes, improving the matchday experience, not allowing our talent to leave for 3 ginger bottles, it all makes perfect sense and you got agreement and expansion from our owner. While his short term aims and plans should be discussed, there was nothing asked on the long term future other than a few of the current initiatives will bear fruit hopefully ahead. I just find it frustrating that we've had to crowbar a few answers out of the WS as to how things will progress going forward. There seems to be a significant element of our fans who are more concerned at an U20's visit to Nando's than the governance and future direction of our club. Maybe its a degree of Ostrich-sand syndrome. The only bit of dissention I can recall Andy related to WS communications. I also appreciate Les is a different entity to the WS, however can influence them greatly.
  11. 'Fishal Facebook has linked to it, suspect your listen count will go up exponentially. Only thing I thought you missed out on was asking what Les' plan B is? Is his exit strategy 5 years regardless of outcome and secondly I'm surprised that none of you picked up on the WS's answer to my question on here, that if failure ensues and Les sells the club, he gets his cash back in full however the WS funds may be severely eaten into over the intervening 5 years to supplement the loan repayments. If the WS for whatever reason is then wound up, there is a very good chance that the people of Motherwell/Lanarkshire who contributed upwards of £300 during the midst of an economic downturn and in an area where Les rightly points out, has lost many of its industry and business' could be face with receiving significantly less than what we put in. Is that a fair outcome considering every interview I've seen/listened to has mentioned the poor economic history and fortunes of the area. There is just nobody asking the tough questions of our future security in an uncertain world.
  12. Anyone fancy having Ramsden back in for Straker? Personally I'd go for Watt.
  13. After tonight in the remaining games there is nowhere we will go and nobody we will face that gives me the fear about picking up 1-3 points.
  14. Jesus, atomic level fallout again. Annoying we got to half time, we think we've got the momentum and can't capitalise. Let's not ignore Aberdeen are a very good team with strength in depth. Until we can be calm in defence, don't give up possession easily in midfield and are composed in front of goal we will be frustrated. Finally and most importantly, without eradicating preventable errors throughout the team, the run in will be very tentative indeed.
  15. Nothing to do with luck, awful decision making
  16. Yasssss And my £5 on 325-1 is still on track. 2-0 up please with Aderdeen getting a penalty in 90+4 please ref.
  17. Well if we do lose tonight then Flow better book an open top bus for May 2016. Every cloud and all that.
  18. I'll address the points made: No I wasn't aware of the Chairman's message #4, I haven't seen anything in my email inbox or on here to direct me to visit the WS site. That raises again at the dissemination of information. It's seems the WS have got the copy together now but not the process of letting the membership know about it. The fact the significant points raised haven't been mentioned on here is testament to that. Updates on the WS website are infrequent and don't demand regular visits on the chance something may have appeared. With respect to the contents of the message and the reply: The total loan amount presently, can you convey how much this is or is it commercially sensitive? So we (club and WS) are in the process of paying Les every 6 months or so. If we (collectively) fail to make 3 of these payments what happens to any WS monies used to supplement these repayments until that date? Are they returned, are they lost is there another mechanism? If we lose the right to the shares, what happens to the 6%(?) we already have? Also can you advise how much the WS has given the club from its reserves to date? With respect to the podcast and a question for Les directly. If the club/WS do default, a businessman such as Les must have a contingency plan in place, what is that plan? What would he do with full control of the club and the prospect of community ownership was found not to be viable from our support?
  19. Pretty simple and key: If the WS fails to make the required sum, what's plan B? Are there any conditions, criteria other than the £1.5m quoted to be met? Is the timescale 5 years or are there any milestones between now and then? To be fair, the above are all questions the WS should have answered by now (and was promised a fortnight ago).
  20. Yeah but chances of adverse weather are much higher in winter than in summer.
  21. 95% of us would have been happy with 4 points from ICT and Killie after the Dundee game. However upon reflection it's safe to say if we'd got a point from ICT and 3 on Saturday (based on how things panned out over the 90) there would have been a much happier mood on here.
  22. I'd echo the stuff about Law, move from midfield into right back is a good one if not dazzling but solid. McManus and Laing did an adequate job with Laing appearing to be a bit more composed that you will get from familiarity. I thought Straker did OK but has an awful first touch which is a primary reason why he finds himself in trouble more than his contemporaries. As for the midfield, I was impressed with Lasley's drive and endeavour for all 90 minutes, Pearson was not as influential as last week. I must admit I thought that Conor Grant being subbed ahead of Johnson was a mistake. The latter was on a yellow and while really effective in the first half he wasn't anywhere near in the second. Plenty of reasons for this, no doubt one being Killie recognised he was running them ragged in the first 45 and countered it. I am encouraged by him however felt at times he didn't think enough when off the ball. Creating an overlap gives the person on the ball options. I can count two occasions where he seemed to switch off and had no concentration or situational awareness. But certainly our best threat and player in the first half. No doubt Locke reviewed the ICT game and seen that Skippy was instrumental. The vigour he brought last week was pretty much nullified by a mixture of tight marking and by one touch too many. Erwin didn't impress anywhere near as much as last week but at this stage in his development I would hope we are willing to accept that. Reading the comments so far Ainsworth's contribution has split opinion. For me he has undoubted talent but one of the most frustrating players because we have seen glimpses of what he has in his arsenal. However a basic quality of a winger is to put a cross in that gets past the first man. I'm sure it was around six from open and set pieces that were blocked or adequately headed away. You've got to give the guy powering in towards the penalty spot a chance to do something with it. While I hate witnessing anyone in C&A bottling a 50-50 I can understand why someone who held off signing a 1 year contract until the 11th hour is reluctant to end up on the treatment table with 11 games to go. Few other things, sometimes at shy's it was a bit like the keystone cops, however that is something that can and should be easily addressed in training. Also, both last week and against Killie it seemed to take the crowd howling to get us to put 1-2 men on the halfway line when defending corners. Finally, I don't think McManus or Laing advancing with the ball when we're holding a high line would affect us defensively but would give us a few more options going forward. Sideways balls to Straker or Law for them to advance repeatedly kills a little momentum. I really hope we don't regret killing them off with an advantage for so long come May. It felt like we had 90% possession in the 2nd half. Didn't get the Killie love in on the radio afterwards, they did what they needed to do blah blah blah. Referee's inconsistency was lamentable.
