  1. It's too bad our season has come crashing back to earth. Top half slipping away. We need to get above the Perth lot as it's becoming almost impossible to compete with Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Aberdeen. There was a time when this was a good league!!
  2. My concern is how the lower teams have crept up and we're not as secure as a few weeks ago. The last few games have been dire, so something needs a shake. Not feeling very happy at the moment.
  3. Bit of a slump??? Without Moult, somebody has to take charge on the park. Who will that be???
  4. Well that's an interesting challenge for the next hour!!!
  5. I'm always amazed that when a player or manager comments about a ref they are punished and the details are made public, but we never hear what happens to refs when they clearly make mistakes that alter the score in a game. Worse when, in the last two games it's blatant favouritism.Disgraceful, disgusting, fraudulent,
  6. Never in a million years was that a penalty. Ref guilty of match fixing??? This has absolutely no integrity in it.
  7. Why don't we just start the next game down 1-0 and see if the ref will then just let the players deal with the 90 minutes.
  8. What's the point of even playing these games any more? They are always going to be awarded a penalty. Seems refs are afraid not to!!
  9. Getting a little fed up with the Mixlr commentators on relentlessly about the refs. Are they really totally against us every week?? Why do they have to be so focused on that, and so emotional? So far we only have 2 more fouls than County according to BBC.
  10. What's going on at Dingwall. The boss might be in the stands, but who's on the touchline. Give the team a real good shake!!!
  11. Listened on cell phone from Florida!!! Magic moments, especially 90+5 at Ibrox. But best thing, even after beating Rangers is Alves comments about how violent we are. Has to be the comment of the century: Motherwell are violent!!! Some of us have waited a long time to see a team that doesn't fold. Thanks for a great start, and I hope the home crowds reflect what's happening on the park!!!
  12. Congratulations!!!! A real team effort. What a different attitude compared to the McGee era.
  13. Sure hope we don't get taken out by whatever this fraud thing is. Accies will really hurt with that.
  14. I saw almost all the home games in the 56-60 era, except I wasn't allowed to go to the Rangers and Celtic games, and the best description of the Ancell Babes was "pure football". IMO the best games were against Hearts. Teams from all over the place, including Brazil, came to play, and after soundly beating Leeds, they wanted to buy the whole forward line. Never been a team like them since. Bert McCann was simply magnificent as a player and as a person. Aitken, Martis, McCann, wow. With all we can get on YouTube surely there must be something of them that todays young bucks could look at. When was the last time any team other than R/C had so many internationalists.
  15. This is a very different team from last year, so we might be much happier as the season progresses. They just don't give up, even when it seems the referees have it in for them. Given our commentators seem a little biased, it did sound like we got nothing, so all credit to the team spirit.
  16. Well now a tough game gets tougher. The difference is we're now playing SPL teams and guess what, they're better than Edinburgh City and Queen's Park. I didn't get all excited with those games, but I think we have a better team than last year. Ross County was a good win, but it's going to be a tough year!!
  17. Right, for all we overseas supporters, and links up yet? Yes 1-0!!
  18. Thank God this season will be done in 15 minutes. Even with nothing to play for anybody with respect for the paying supporters should at least put a bit of effort out. The great Motherwell teams never just showed up to, they left their blood on the park. And what was that comment by the manager about doing their best today to help Accies? I think we've lost the plot, and the plot is simply to win games. Who's driving the vision in the organization. In fan ownership, who's actually running the show, and who is making the football decisions? I can hardly wait for next season
  19. How many times is that Lasley given the ball away so far? Don't think he's completed a pass yet.
  20. I really wonder if fan ownership is the answer. The whole team goes from same as to same as week by week. Too bad Les didn't stick around a little longer, but it'll take somebody like that to take the organization by the scruff of the neck and shack it. I look at Ross County as an example. There's no way they should be where they are, but they are. And how many new players did Killie bring in at the beginning the season. I'm afraid time has passed by for teams like us unless something dramatic happens. The model just doesn't work. We have no vision. I just hate scraping around at the bottom of the barrel.
  21. Right, the fight is really on now to survive. Apart from injuries, how do you explain the two goals? Inexperience perhaps, but mostly bad recruiting, and the ghost of MG still does us in again. I don't understand why almost every other team can get stronger with every transfer window, except for us, and it's gone on for a while now. GRRRR. A few minutes were fine, but the back just didn't do the job today. And how many chances were ruined up front???
  22. Uninspiring so far, and another nonsense goal given away!! Concentration lacking!!
  23. Been out since the final whistle! Lethal driving the motor, bodies all over the place!! I've recovered a bit...BUT!!! Played manager's reaction a few times, and yes, he was speechless, but again imo, it was his fault. A few have wondered how many times we've lost goals and games in the last ten minutes, but did he have a plan for that today? Not that anybody could see. It was Rangers for God's sake, at Ibrox. Did anybody think they wouldn't be coming full steam in the last ten minutes? He should, but never has had a last ten minute strategy, especially against better teams. Stuff we saw leading to the last goal should have been drummed into their heads so much that stupidity should never have happened, and that is all down to the manager, sorry, but that's just a fact. Here was a chance for all of us to be sky high for a week, and a tired player actually thinks he should pass the ball. If ever there was a time for a long ball up the field. Gutted is not the word, but I know a manager who should be by just looking in the mirror.
  24. Have to chip in on Barnstable. Couldn't believe the screaming with the Moult goal, never mind the ranting about the red card that most now seem to agree was deserved. It did seem, according to the commentators, that the ref had it in for us, but it also sounded like we were pretty bad as well. Listening to how bad Accies were just made our effort that much worse, even with ten men. This was a game for the taking but again there didn't seem to be a plan, never mind a strategy to recover from the red card. Can't wait to read McGee's comments, but no doubt he'll be pleased with the point. We might well avoid the bottom two, but that'll likely be due to how bad the bottom seven collectively are, not because of good we are.
