  1. I think the point is that going into a game like this you should be motivated to take charge of your destiny, and even if they do survive top six it will be down to other teams. There was a time when Motherwell were one of the most attractive teams to watch, but that's not what's happening now.
  2. I just looked at the game statistics, has the team bus been caught in traffic somewhere???
  3. Everything is on the line today with the point spread for top six giving so many teams the ability to drop us out of the top six. Surely this game is all about how well the manager has prepared the team and how committed the players are. This is about character.
  4. I'm imagining...if the manager goes and to another SPL team, ex 'Well is then managing almost half the league. I'm wondering...if all our ex-managers are out there, can we avoid the drop if we dig up my granny from Arbles Road cemetery, will we have half a chance???
  5. I'm reflecting...how can a tea that did so well before Christmas get so bad after? I'm thinking...I wonder how long it will be before the lads clamour for the manager's head???
  6. There is no cure for ignorance and stupidity, but anyone who's identified should be banned for ever!!!
  7. I've just tuned in and see everyone is in fine form.
  8. Good luck with your studies.
  9. After my last comment I'm sitting at home with -13 outside, with a slight smile on my face. What a farce, and while we might be secure in the league there's just no excuse for the manager NOT to have the team ready for a game like this, especially after the County game.
  10. I started goint to Fir Park with my mates around 1955, and we dreaded being drawn against lower league teams because we just never took them as seriously as they took us. Nothing seems to have changed.
  11. I don't always put a lot into the statistical side, but to outshoot the opposition so badly and still have onlt 2 on goal is a bit worrisome. Fortunately they still got the points.
  12. Just tuned in from London, Ontario, but if the stats are anything to go by, are the team still on the bus?
  13. I'm getting concerned!!! Usually by this time we're seeing the cries to sack the manager and half the team. I'm not sure my constitution can stand too much of winning early in the season, or a team playing reasonably well. I might have to lie down and take a pill.
  14. I just tunes in and am on the floor laughing. Nothing seems to change and I can hardly wait to see the first post to sack the manager. Relax, this is a nothing tournament.
  15. Smiddy, I hope you're not having a go at Texas as Texas has been almost shut down by severe winter weather that is not their normal winter and they're not equiped like the northern states or Canada is to cope.
  16. Thankfully I missed this game, but reading the comments one sticks out a mile. If there are 18 players out injured surely there's something wrong with fitness, training, or our physio, perhaps a combination. Either way that has to be a major concern on how the injury list gets to this stage. Given that, surely the current results can't be much better if we have to go so far down the order to put a team on the field. I've been a supporter since about 1955, even earlier actually since I heard the cup final on the wireless, and I can't remember being so depressed, not even when we had been relegated. This is really bad stuff. How can you win if most of your players don't really care?
  17. It could have been a lot worse I suppose, but it's not a pretty season.
  18. I can't believe anybody expects us to be awaeded a penalty against either of the ugly sisters.
  19. When was the last time we signed any player, even on loan, when we weren't a step up for them? I just wonder what difference it would make if we managed to get someone in who already had some credibility.
  20. I think it's harsh to blame Las, even for the goalie who on any other day could have been brilliant. Further, him taking over in the short-term gave him no real chance in picking up a team that couldn't care less whether they win or not. You could always count on him as a player to give everything on the pitch. The fault is at the board level where it must have been obvious that Robbo's time was up, and they didn't have a plan A never mind a plan B. For me there should always be a place for absolute loyalty, even if it's not as the manager. Las has earned that, and for me Crags as well.
  21. I wasn't able to listen today, but I didn't think it would be 3-0. I do not believe our develop and sell model will ever lead to a consistently winning team, and today we can reap the rewards. I think we deluded ourselves that we were 3rd last year. If play had not been shut down with covid Aberdeen would have finished 3rd, and Hearts would not have been relegated. We've retired the debt, great, but we're bankrupt in a football sense. We've got a fair price for players, Turnbull, but the fees have just not been put back into the football side of the business, and I really wonder how many supporters will pay to watch the quality that's bee delivered this season.
  22. Part of the failure was not finding a clear leader on the field who can take them by the scruff of the neck and get something going. He may never have won the EPL but I'm thinking of Gerrard and how he could rise up and take charge by his own example. We need a manager who can find and develop such a player. Las was sometimes able but never quite did it.
