  1. Almost all of the Ancel babes belong in the heroes category.
  2. I've been away for a while and wonder what's happened to Mixr? Seem to have lost the link, and therefore not able to enjoy the group of listeners. Any info about how to follow other than on BBC Sports?
  3. If only that could happen. Those of us who saw that team would match them against any Motherwell team since then. That was pure football magic, and pre-season games were against major teams. Ian St John's six goals against the Brazilians, Thumping Leeds United who were a top team. nobody came to Fir Park and beat us. The only scare was Mc Seveney (sp ?) who was clumsy, but Hastie Weir, Pat Holton, Aitken, Martis, McCann, Billy Reid, Hunter, St. John, Pat Quinn, and Andy Weir, all made Saturday afternoon special. The best part for me was also being with a bunch of friends in the middle of the away supporters and giving as much as we got, except for the Old Firm. Vintage "Team"!
  4. Don't know why I'm doing this, but here goes. We had a brief glimpse of football for about five weeks after a miserable start, and for that time the manager was a hero. But here we are again back where we started. So was the board right in sticking with him for a short time, or have the overall results suggested we really do need a fresh outlook? I don't know what did to get their manager in, but he's worked wonders with players who really aren't any better than most. I think they're now regularly pulling 5K+ at home, and their SPFL payout will be pretty good. I think it's time for serious reflection because at this level of play I imagine many other options look better for a Saturday afternoon.
  5. This looks like an expensive day with Livingston and St. J now ahead.
  6. Defence on holiday today!
  7. Not often we get a live television game in Canada, and we had to get this one. First of all this was a very ordinary Rangers team, and second, our passing was terrible. Then there were the dreadful defensive mistakes, but when you add the hoofball tactics there was never a chance of constructive football. We never did have an answer to how Rangers doubled up on our kids so they might get a first chance, but never a second. Rangers just bundled them over, if they didn't just pick their pocket in the first place. The referee seemed a bit unfair at times, but the bottom line is still a huge gap between us and the top six Teams. Reality is that with 2 Glasgow giants, 2 Edinburgh well supported teams, and the Dons, everybody else is trying for one top six place left, and the difference this year was down to Killie having a very good manager who got incredible results from his players. The divide gets worse every year, and it's basically about money.
  8. Frustrating team to support, no consistency at all. Never thought we'd see this today, but happy to get the point spread up!
  9. While I look at the stats, there is only one that counts. Shots on goal and corners might help, but possession means nothing. If passes counted Henderson at Liverpool is the best, but that's only because he's petrified he might have to do something with the ball if he keeps if for more than three seconds. More goals than the other team seems like the best measure for me in the long run. Bring back the Weir, Hunter, Saint, Quinn and Andy Weir any day!!!
  10. Better football is always good to watch. Anything like Saturday would cause a riot.
  11. From someone at the game or watching, is there better football, or is it still hoofball? This from a fan of the Babes who only played football.
  12. Think it's time to hear from the club. What exactly is their vision for the organization, and how far along are we towards that vision? The fan ownership is a wonderful idea, but how viable is that with so few attending games. Hearts have started down that road, but have a committed owner at the moment, and they have a very different level of support. And, if I'm right, Hearts owner seems prepared to continue until the fan option has a better chance of succeeding.
  13. That's the season really, no cups, no chance of top six. It's also the end of any hopes more people will come out to support them. There's just no reason to waste time and money when there's nothing positive to play for, except staying up. And there's no chance anybody will be in to buy what's left on the field with any serious money. Never thought I'd get to this level of thinking.
  14. I just love how they go for a break in the warm weather when the last thing they need is training in conditions they will not be in for the rest of the season. Would your boss take you on a sunny holiday if you been working below par for six months?
  15. I really don't give a sausage about the German guy, but with Sammon there has to be a catch to it!!
  16. Think there are now 3 like that, Killie, Accies, Livi, so as long as they are not banned, you have to play on them. So it's not a new or unique experience. Really just have to get on with it and not use it as an excuse for a dreadful exhibition like we produced today. We've had just as bad performances at Fir Park this season.
  17. Did the team bus break down somewhere? Must be a pick up team from the crowd playing today.
  18. Yep, with this combination of commentators, it's already how unfair the ref has been. Lewis will try to concentrate on the game if we're lucky.
  19. Forget all the other comparisons guys, they don't help today whatsoever. This is about us, and it's bad news bno matter how you try to spin it.
