  1. I'd have to agree. If there was even the slightest possibility of a deal being done we'd have delayed the strip launch.

    Europa

2nd round to be drawn in 45 mins time
  4. Is that a new Mitre ball Craggs is holding too?
  5. I can't make my mind up without seeing the sponsor on them. All strips look weird to me without one, plus we all know a gantin sponsor can ruin even the nicest strip. Think the Jaxx logo would have looked cracking on both tae, shame.
  6. Are the Co-Op considered to be a local financial institution?
  7. Was there not something mentioned about Puma being our kit supplier and sponsor?

Having signed guys like Gerry Britton, Micky Weir and Bob Malcolm you can never say never when we are linked to shit past it players!
  9. They don't have a clue that lot. Check the league table. Hamilton have made a break from the bottom six and are now above Hearts! Edit: someone's fixed it! lol
  10. i've heard the argument for re-seeding umpteen times, but surely going down this route leaves us open to the same problem if we have anything but a mild winter this year? Why not put down turf this time? That will knit together in no time and would have a much better chance of lasting through the winter. I think it's safe to say we are in the last chance saloon here. A hefty fine or points deduction has to be on the cards if we have a call off next season. To "hope" that this will rectify the situation is taking a fair gamble IMO. Let's hope we're all proven wrong.

I know he splits the fans, but his commitment on Wednesday night was brilliant. When the 5th, or was it 6th Hibs goal went in he went fecking mental and spent the next five minutes trying to get us back into the game all on his todd. Good luck Jim. Sending us on our way to Europe would be a nice parting gift!
  12. I think I'm one of the few folk who would like to see a new strip every season. Still doesn't mean I'd buy every one though.
  13. I've just literally sat and watched that clip about ten times and I'm about to watch it again... absolutely fantasic. You could feel the atmosphere just listening to it. Awsome stuff.
  14. I'm still high as a fookin kite! Is there a well fan who hasn't watched the highlights at least ten times out there!?
  15. Can't see why not. Is it not just a one game ban for too many yellows?
  16. How gutted must Nish feel? After getting pelters from his own fans for weeks he must have been on cloud nine and feeling rather smug when his third went in. Fast forward an hour and he's standing in front of the Sky cameras without a match ball in sight OR the MOM champagne in his hands trying to explain how they threw away a four goal lead! Class!
  17. Yeah, have to agree. He's been fantastic lately.
  18. Said in the match thread it looked much better than it played. The groundsman left it a fair bit longer and employed the old grass cuttings trick to make it look the part. Think the reason we have to start again is the root zone or whatever it's called has been ruined cos we have been effectively playing on it. Add the amount of sand needed to stop it turning into a mud heap and its fooked!
  19. Did ye no notice the few hundred strategically placed piles of grass cuttings? Made it look a lot better than it played. Hately was caught out a few times at the start of the game and I don't think he ever really recovered.
  20. I don't blame anyone for leaving, FFS we were truly abysmal at times. Lest we forget it should have been more at half time as IMO they should have had one if not two penalties. The Craigan tackle on Nish was a stone waller and the prospect of an absolute humiliation was very real - who would want to see their team beat by 7 or 8, that's what it was looking like at times. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but games like that are 1 in 50 years, or more. Some people just can't stand watching their team get pumped and that's fair enough. Glad I stayed though!

The prices were announced on the official hibs website the day after they were announced on ours but you're right if they didn't know about it then it's not been pushed enough. I think you have to remember the terrible run they were/are on. That would have affected their support big time.
  22. Skippy Sunday will aways live long in the memory but at the end of the day meant absolutely nothing to MFC. Plus the fact that Gerry Britton was in that team will give me nightmares forever. The point earned last night could potentially have earned us a European slot for the 3rd season in a row. Ok I'd rather we had scraped a shitty 1 nil win but to keep coming back again and again was absolutely awsome. How many teams would have just chucked it in the first half. The emotion of getting the penalty and then missing it sums up the Motherwell rollercoaster perfectly for me, it just doesn't happen with any other team does it!? For that alone last night wins it hands down for me. Remember, it's still in our hands. Mon the Well!

I said at xmas when we were just gonna let him leave for a pittance after his falling out with Gannon that I was amazed there wasn't more of an outrage amongst fans! IMO he's one of the most creative players in the SPL never mind our team. If half a dozen Clubs chasing this guys signature doesn't convince folk he's got ability then nothing will. Will be a very hard player for us to replace IMO.
  24. Forbes V St. Johnstone for me. The strike was quality but you forget the pass from Hately out wide, Forbes first touch and drop of the shoulder to come inside make it even better.
  25. With two days of snow forecast I wouldn't hold out for much improvement!
