    Brown Must Go

He has to take some responsibility thought. The week off backfired spectacularly today imo, although in the long run it might benefit us. Lets hope that's the case.
  2. Yeah there were plenty of steamers there today. Saw a few folk chucked for being bloto and a few for not sitting down.
  3. started well united had a man sent off we stopped playing and they started to work twice as hard they scored from a set piece, then from a howler by our player of the season - which you can't legislate for. we had plenty of possession but never looked like scoring or even troubling their keeper they scored on the break as we let someone wander through the middle of the park unchallenged. Very poor performance all round.
  4. Rangers would only have had 2 less, we drew mind.
  5. There are three of us going up but we all went earlier in the season. Thinking of making a right day of it too maybe getting the train up so everyone can get a bevy (have always drove in the past). I'm really looking forward to the game. The wee break we have had and the importance of the result will boost our support a fair bit imo.
  6. Was totally gutted too. Marshall set the scene for a horrible performance, although at 2 - 1 we were very much still in it. I agree that the semi against Celtic was more disappointing - that was a game we should have won easily in the 90 mins. Oh well, these experiences will make our next trophy even more memorable.
  7. I think we should be giving away thousands of tickets to schools, local teams and charities not just for the odd game here and there but over an entire season to try and get people back into the habbit of coming to Fir Park every fortnight. As far as the pitch goes it won't affect the home supports decision to come because the majority are season ticket holders but for away fans who can pick and choose which games they go to why would you want to come to Fir Park? The well publicised criticism of the pitch has led to an assumption (incorrect as we have shown) that you can't play good football on it and as a result any game played on it is bound to be dire. It's not the main reason why folk don't come, that will always be cost, but I think it does play a small part.
  8. I know at first glance threads like these seem trivial and full of folk who just like a moan, but that's only because you are completely missing the point. If we persist with the same set up at a game with a bigger crowd then we're going to end up with either a riot on our hands or someone getting knocked down - then where will the Club end up!
  9. Once again, how people are meant to leave early when they weren't told about these new measures is beyond me!
  10. I was in the queue at about 5 to 3 and there was still traffic going past, slowly mind you cos there were that many folk forced onto the road cos of the barriers.
  11. The searches were a complete waste of time. I was searched and could've smuggled an ak47 in under my jacket it was that half arsed. It was obviously just for show in the wake of the smoke bomb incident at Hamilton imo. Folk are just pissed of at having their time wasted and missing the start of the match through no fault of their own. Just how we were meant to leave early when nooone knew about these new measures is beyond me. Sat was a pretty small gate and even then there was a fair bit of tension buidling in the queue, and the potential for arguments and worse for someone to get run over was there for all to see. If they're going to persist with this then the roads have to be closed to traffic and proper barriers put on place to allow for two or three queues to the turnstyles. This is just another example of how the Club manage to fuck up even the easiest of tasks.
  12. That comment was meant to be tongue in cheek mate... although having a right back who stays in position is a good starting point for a solid defence imo.
  13. If we had beaten Rangers twice at home which we should have, and not drawn games we have dominated and been in front, we'd be challenging for the Title never mind 2nd! If you're gonna dream, make it worth it! Mon the Well!
  14. There's a simple explanation to all this - its because yassin moutaouakil isnae masquerading as a right back any more.
  15. Yeah top marks for originality. The rest of his tricks were pretty pish!
  16. Given the weather this week, does anyone know if we were able to carry out the promised remedial work?
  17. As far as I'm aware the spec of the pitch was cut back because it was costing too much, and in my opinion that is the only reason why we went down the re-seeding route in the first place - money. If we had returfed after the ground work was done rather than re-seed the pitch would have had a better chance of making it through even this winter - again only my opinion. I'm not suggesting £300,000 is an insignificant amount of money but it was only spent after years of neglect and shirking of the problem by the Club. And the half measures and minimum requirements I was talking about was actually in reference to our feeble attempts so far to patch up the pitch last month when it was obvious to everyone that the only way to solve the problem was a complete re-turf. If you're looking for other examples of half measures and minimum requirements you just have to look at the upkeep of the stadium, and in particular the East Stand. I know, I know this is all about money but are they gonna let the place fall apart around our ears before they do something. Bins in the middle of the walkway are hardly decisive and effective solutions to a leaking roof, a bit like our attempts at fixing the pitch.
  18. Eh? We were forced into the work during the summer! Now that's went tits up we're half arsing around patching up bits of the pitch here and there, and that was only done because of the cup semi. Like everything at Motherwell it's done in half measures and to the minimum requirements. How many times are we gonna have to go through this in order to learn? The pitch is only going to get worse so lets rip it up at the first opportunity and completely relay it. Of course it will be costly but what are the alternatives?
  19. I was hoping Captain Sensible would have died an horrible death by now. Don't believe a word that c**t says.
  20. Whay are the Club always forced to act on these things. I'd like to see us being a little pro-active for a change. Any other team in the league with a pitch anywhere near as bad as ours would have had it completely relaid at the earliest opportunity. That is the only way to solve the problem and get everyone off our backs. I know it costs a fortune but this is getting beyond a joke, and it's only a matter of time before games are called off or a player is seriously injured. Get it sorted Motherwell!
  21. Have to say think big Sutton is playing really well for us too. He is keeping possession really well and some of his link up play and lay offs have been magic. Mon the Well!
  22. Ruddy is a perfect example of how a loan player should behave at a Club. Not only has he been in fantastic form on the pitch but he is open and honest about his future, without being disrespectfull to the club. Fast becoming one of my favourite Well players and is shoe in for player of the season imo. Good stuff John!
  23. In the short term I think we should invest in some green sand. At least it will look better.
  24. it has today's date obviously forgot to change the details below the badges.
