  1. unfortunately Hamilton seem to be doing their best to bugger this up for us. how dare they!
  2. That's pretty damning stuff from McGarry. Just show's there's no smoke without fire. You just wonder what other stories we have heard are true.
  3. I was being genuine. Please don't go, don't goooo. I love you so. Please don't go. Do do do do de do do
  4. Should be in a home, Should be in a ho-o-ome You're so old you two, should be in a home. To the tune of why don't you go home.
  5. If you're reading this Paul, we love you please don't go, we didnae mean it. We think yer pure dead brilliant n that. Gies feckin peace.
  6. Where does it say we are only allowed to deal in facts? It's an internet forum FFS! If we ignored speculation then we'd have nowt to talk about half the time. I'm sure Slane will do whatever he wants and nothing we say will have any bearing on that decision whatsoever.

    Jim O'Brien

IMO he's by far the most dangerous and productive player we have at the club, just look at the penaltys and fouls he's won us for starters. I think he will be much harder to replace than people think.
  8. I wonder just how many fans have been lost to soccer sat in the pub!? Plenty I bet.
  9. Does the east and main stand no need painted so often in a special fire retardand paint? I seem to mind reading somewhere just the scaffolding costs to do this were enormous. We are getting closer and closer to the point where we just need to give up on the old girl and move. It's times like this that I'm pretty envious of clubs like Falkirk who bit the bullet and now have a cracking wee ground. I think we will end up going down the same road and building a ground stand by stand, so the sooner we get started the better. The only other suggestion I have is insurance job!

Definately deserved at least a point. Hearts are absolutely pish! Best 2nd half performance in ages, thought OBrien was outstanding and craigan too easily bullied.

any information Boyle received would have been given in confidence. if he had commented in the statement that it was due to applying for other jobs then he would have had to reveal which jobs possibly revealing his source. on the other hand if gannon comes out and denies there was any detereoration of relations with club officials then its easy for boyle to rhyme off some examples.

He can't becuase like most things in football it's all cloak and dagger stuff. It might be possible that Gannon thought Boyle wouldn'f find out about it, but what I believe is he just didn't care if he found out, didn't care about getting the sack and didnt care about the Club.

John Boyle cant exactly come out and say "the chairman of XXXXX phoned me to tell me that my manager had unofficially made it known he was interested in the managers position at his club, so for that he is sacked!" instead we get this shite about no signing a contract!

So how do you know he didn't? Just cos he said he didn't? Don't be so naive. The Club got wind of the fact that he had been actively seeking employment elswhere and sacked him! All this shite about contracts is just nonsense. He made it perfectly obvious to everyone by his comments and actions that he didn't want to be here. Fuck him!
  15. if the east stand were ever to get to the stage where it caused the stadium to loose its safety certificate then quite simply it would be closed and us poor lot shunted to one of the other 7000 seats usually sitting empty in the ground. simples

It's not a pitch inspection mate. the police want to check that the surrounding areas are safe for the public due to the snow and ice.
  17. I'm sure it was reported Ruddy has had previous run ins with Gannon at Stockport when he was there on loan, so I can't see him being too bothered.
  18. can we have "subject to normal contractual formalities" written in brackets underneath in small print?
  19. Heard the players had a party in the changing room when they found out he'd gone. Apparently he hadn't spoken to anyone after the 4 defeats! I'm amazed people are trying to defend this guy. Yes he had potential, but his downfall at Motherwell was entirely his own doing. (I generally take everything I read in the media with a pinch of salt but they all can't be barking up the wrong tree). It's a shame, I think he was given a great opportunity at Motherwell (he said that himslef btw) but it looks like his personality has got the better of him again. I don't blame anyone but Gannon.
  20. I'd be very surprised. The same folk that made hime redundant are still in charge and from what I remember he didn't leave on good terms at all.
  21. certain things he has said in interviews and his demeanor in general. i can remember many times thinking he doesn't sound/look like he wants to be here at all. add that to the comments another poster has highlighted in the press article and it makes a lot of sense.
  22. it wouldn't surprise me at all if some of the jounrno's Gannon pissed off got in a few parting shots so I'd take anything you read in the coming days with a pinch of salt. however its looking increasingly like he had given up on Motherwell long ago and for that he has no excuse.
  23. I've never seen a manager so uninterested in keeing his job than Gannon over the last couple of weeks. My guess is he has forced the Clubs hand cos he wanted out.
  24. Looks like it was down to his refusal to commit to the Club!
