guys this has been a pish season lets face it but lets also not forget that rangers have had a pish season. they finished 3rd in the championship. their team should be ashamed of that fact. why should we fear this team in the slightest, i have had tears of laughter and disbelief in my eyes watching some of their results come in on a saturday at 4:45 against apparently totally inferior teams. lets get right behind OUR team and hope that the good guys bottles dont crash. i put this to alan burrows on twitter today and he said they will look at it in august but that there wasnt great interest in it this season

i literally just want this season to end. the first team have been a disaster, iv enjoyed watchin the under 20's team. what dom thomas and luke watt need to do in order to be given a chance is beyond me, they are too good for the u20's and in my opinion couldnt do any worse than any one of the players they would replace for the playoffs. as for mcmanus, i have no idea how that guy has played at such a high level over the years, he is a bomb scare who has caused more problems than he has solved this year. we really really do need to get behind the manager and the players no matter how shite they have been until now COYW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its nothing more than we deserve, except for about 4 games most of the players have been a complete and utter disgrace to the jersey. totally devestated by how we have been this season which by the looks of things is more than can be said for most of the players. how some of these guys have made a living out of football is beyond me, some look like they have never seen a football before. I hope the penny finally drops for some of them!!!!!!!!!!

also on the nathan thomas topic, i do attend the u20's games and he was pretty poor in all of the games i saw him, he showed small glimpses of skill but would then fall over the ball, he couldnt lace the boots of dom thomas!!!!

in fairness vigurs, carswell, zfa, lawson, and kerr would not be missed in the slightest, they r literally picking up a wage for nothing at all.

watched the game again on the telly after sleeping on the result. having hammy and ramsden at fullback made me feel better than having law and straker. i felt the defence seemed a lot calmer, i truely believe law and straker are bomb scares. i felt long should have done better at the killie goal but overall he was very good. onwards and upwards

the overall point i am attempting to make is that why cant it simply be a reserve league as it WOULD without doubt be better for any squad as a whole if there were no constraints as to age. any decent youngster that any team will have would be in that reserve team anyway plus without the constraint of age then sutton, dan, as well as any injured players on the road back with hammell, vigurs, lawson, ZFA etc could get a more competitive game than training plus it would bring on our prospects such as thomas and watt as they would be playing at a once again higher level against better players. where in any statement have i mentioned we fund another 12-13 players to play in a reserve league???? our squad must be trimmed as there is too much money being wasted of that there is no doubt

its certainly not a complaint but even with a small squad like ours we would could still easily use more than ur 5 overage players so i dont think your argument stands up. the point i am making is that it would be a more enjoyable watch and be beneficial to the squads in general. the teams are now forced to play a load of youngsters who imo will not make it at the top level??? thus wasting money

cost will be a big thing but the u20 league doesnt help the first team, the reserve league would. if our younger guys are good enough they will make the reserve team

i have gone to the last few u20 games and i cant help but feel the old reserve league should be brought back as some of the players i have seen from all the teams are very poor. its crazy that due to the under 20's rules that the likes of dan twaziak, sutton etc etc could be asked to come into our first team having had no game time other than training. also its clear to see that dom thomas and even luke watt are too good for the u20's but maybe its a bit soon for the first team thus a reserve league would be ideal as they would be playing squad players from around the league. why cant there be a development league and reserve league????? interested to see others thoughts

i think the hamilton game next friday will give a fair reflexion on where we are and how we will end up. IB in the last 3 games has got the team playing better than what we have witnessed for a while. im also interested to know your thoughts on the signings that have been made and whether you think IB would have made the same signings if he didnt feel a bit of a panic after seeing how poor our squad was

we should never have been in a situation where we signed dundee's third choice keeper as our first choice, that should have had alarm bells ringing, especially as mcdonald was released by hearts!!!!!!!. IB has been forced to sign another goalie and long was the best he could find in the january window and he looks on paper to have pedigree. he imo is better than dan so must continue in goal.

totally disagree with you on both points.

we are 1 point better off than i thought we would be when i looked at the 3 fixtures versus ICT, KILLE & ABERDEEN, granted i thought it would have been killie that we had the chance of the 3 points. some people are in meltdown with regards last night, we should have at least taken a point and i am as gutted as anyone but get a grip, aberdeen on a playing staff level are way ahead of us. it was a totally shambolic 2 mins but lets calm down. if we look back over previous threads folk were saying that dan should more or less never wear a motherwell shirt again but now people are callling for us to bring him back in, knee jerk reactions or what!!!!!, do some of you remember some of the howlers ruddy more or less threw into his net a few years back but due to having better players we got out of most situations, i think long is a good keeper. im confident that when we play the other teams round us after the split we will have enough to finish outside the bottom 2. i have to agree with most posters though that straker is not a footballer in a million years. i also need to say that dom thomas should get more of a run in the team, i was at the u20's game v st johnston the other night and he looks a great prospect although he did get clattered so may have had a slight injury, also on that note bob mchugh was really poor.

I have now calmed down a little. I think questions need to be asked with regards fitness, our management can say that the other team are 12 games into their season so are up to fitness and are match sharp all they want but the simple fact remains that they are a a semi pro team so this isn't even their FULL TIME OCCUPATION. We must have blown a lot of money going to Portugal for so called intensive pre season training and for what?????, especially as we are supposedly so cash strapped. A professional team should 100% be able to steam roller over the top of semi-pro's during a 2 leg game which included extra time. It may not be the biggest disappointment I have had as a well fan but it still hurts, WHY cant we turn up against so called smaller teams, it has cost the club so much money, another question that needs to be asked is WHY cant we hang onto a lead and WHY does SMC want to play Kerr on the right wing. SMC took off 2 offensive players and brought on 2 defensive players in an attempt to see out a lead against SEMI-PRO opposition. I am totally bemused as to how this has happened and the players owe the fans (especially those who travelled) a few performances to make up for this unbelievably poor display over the 2 legs. I also cant believe Dom Thomas wasn't given a chance but Angol and Kerr are continually given chances and as of yet haven't stepped up anywhere near the mark, the young lad must be despairing on the side lines. WE NEED A DEFENDER AND A STRIKER, IT APPEARS TO ME THAT SIMPLE, otherwise we are going to have a long season.!!!!!!!!!

That's a bit of a crazy statement to make, you cant force a man to stay at a club, if Hibs offered more money then what can Flow do, id rather we spent extra wages on players than physios

I would disagree, apart from Sutton we do not have anyone who is a proven goal scorer, could you say hand on heart that if Sutton got injured you would be happy with our striking options????? The same argument applies that if McManus got injured would you be happy with who we have to replace him?????

At the end of the day we 1000000% need a defender and a striker, its as simple as that. As to who that will be I have no idea but I do trust SMc and im pretty confident he will have an idea of who he wants so im happy to just wait and see.

This may sound stupid but I think the Albion Rovers game may help us in this game. We are clearly the favourites against Stjaman and in the past Motherwell have failed to turn up against the so called smaller team but I think that the way the players were made to feel following the Rovers game will make them more determined to bury this team and not make an arse of themselves again. I was a little disappointed with the lack of urgency against Fulham on Saturday but the players will be thinking about this Euro tie and I would imagine we are the fitter team even though we have not played a competitive match yet and I hope we will pull through against Stjaman, I do fully expect us to do so.
