2018/2019 Game 34:Hamilton (A) April 20th 3pm Kick off
Spiderpig replied to Neilwell86's topic in Club Chat
Would love to see Accies relegated, they bring nothing to the premiership, shit crowd, team and Stadium so I hope we go there, strongest team on the park and get right into them and give them a real doing, and with a bit of luck good results for Dundee and St Mirren as a bonus. -
In my opinion Burrows has played a blinder with the Hastie Saga, let's not forget we are talking about an unproven player, yes he may have potential but having it an fulfilling it are very different things. I he is tempted by a move away then as we have a good offer to him on the table and he's under 22 we are due development compensation, to be decided but the figure of 400 k was quoted. If he stays and fulfills his potential then he would get another big money move and no doubt we would command a very good transfer fee. So either way the club would get a significant cash return on the player, so it's a win win for the club
-
Probably not the best game to judge him on Accies are brutal, but I have seen him in other games and he looks a decent player, so time will tell.
-
John Ruddy might be heading for the FA cup final with Wolves, they are hanging on a bit but currently 2-1 up against Watford
-
Another bonus is that we are now officially safe from relegation or the playoff spot, so the budget planning for another year in the premiership can begin
-
At the start of the season he had shown feck all to warrant a new deal, that's why he was punted out on loan. Now he is cashing in on his last few months in the spotlight, fair play to him. It must have been a tough decision, maybe 1k or 2k a week at Fir Park or 4 or 5k at Ibrox for the next 4 years,, he's off so good luck to the boy.
-
He was at Alloa to get game time as we were not sure he was going to make the step up to 1st team football, and for me that's not certain yet either, he has had a good last few months and earned himself a big move, lots of cash etc so it's now up to him to take it, good luck to the boy. But that said the blue ugly sisters record at developing and giving youth a chance is not good, so time will tell, but I would not be surprised to have a post in the former players thread in 12 months time asking "remember Jake Hastie whatever happened to him, us he still at Rangers" He has potential so I hope he goes on and fulfils it
-
Let's be honest he wasn't very good and was never going to be a top player, but that said he has probably made a decent living from football,
-
Dylan Mackin scored the winner for Stirling Albion, an 80th mins pen
-
John Ruddy having a good game for Wolves tonight, currently 2-0 up against Man United in the FA cup QF
-
Given that both Hastie and Turnbull a year ago had contributed almost nothing to the 1st team it might have been thought at the time that they might not be up to the step up to 1st team football and as such not worth the offer of a new deal, hindsight is wonderful

2018/19 Game 30: Hibs (A) March 16th 3pm kick off

Johnson missed a feckin sitter at the end there -
Kieran Kennedy got Wrexham's consolation goal in that game, so ex Motherwell players scoring for both teams

2018/19 Game 30: Hibs (A) March 16th 3pm kick off

The aim at the start of every season is to finish as high up the league as possible, so for me a top 6 finish would be great given where we were before Christmas. There are also the financial benefits, more prize money, 2 extra game against the ugly sisters etc so we need to go for it. As for losing games, apart from the ugly sisters , Hearts, Killie and Aberdeen are average at best and all beatable so with no pressure on us u think we could do well against them. So for me we need to go for it in the next 2 games against Hibs and St Johnstone, 2 wins and we could be in for a great end to the season. -
2018/19 Game 29: Hamilton (H) March 9th 3pm kick-off
Spiderpig replied to Yabba's Turd's topic in Club Chat
Hamilton are 16 points below us with the worst goal difference in the league, -39 for a reason, i.e. they are brutal, one flukey win against Aberdeen does not suddenly turn them into a good team. This will be a home win on Saturday, we will be kicked off the park by the likes of McKinnon and Imrie but we will win, we are better than them. And I hope Rangers do us a turn tonight and beat Hibs, then we can start in Saturday knowing a win will put us right back in the fight for the top 6 -
Let's be honest Hastie is an unproven player and if it wasn't for the last 2 months would anybody be bothered if he moves on? His recent form has shown he has potential but that needs to be realised, so he needs to decide where the best place to continue his development will be but with that also comes financial considerations, its his job so like anybody else the best wage on offer will be tempting. So weighing up the footballing development and financial security will he be best served staying at Motherwell or moving on to Rangers, as a young player building his career I know where I would pick. Whatever we think of the blue ugly sister if Hastie does go, he will get the chance to play with better players, more cup finals, more European games etc than he would staying at Fir Park so the best of luck to him if he does move, I think he has the potential for a good future in the game.

Did we really sign him or did I just dream the whole episode, -
They are having a big Dip in form just now, I actually fancy us to win this one and get into the too 6, assuming we have a fit defence.
-
If Hartley and Mulumbu are fit they can play in central defence, it's a decent left back we need by all accounts Dunne was terrible today.

Nonsense, the ref controls the game not that mob, they put the ball out , play was never stopped so we had every right to use the throw in to our advantage so feck them, It will be all over the papers as it always is more deflection from their fans wrecking stadiums, fighting with the police, sectarian abuse, etc as ever they are always the victims. -

Disappointed to lose 2 late goals, 2-1 would have been respectable, 4-1 looks like a bit of a pumping, but onwards and upwards a win midweek against an off form Killie will be the perfect response. -
