I would think a fairly basic component of their job description would be to ensure every fan was in their allocated seat, stairways and exits not blocked etc all the stuff they seem to forget when the green uglies are in town. These are basic saftey issues which Motherwell would be held liable for in the event of an incident.
-
It's irrelevant how much you are being paid if you are employed to look after the saftey of the paying public you should do your job what ever that remit is. From what I've seen the stewards at Fir park are not interested they don't give a shit and I would hate to see how they respond if a genuine emergency occurred.

Motherwell are no different to any other club, if you get 1 or two players making the step up from. Academy to the 1st team thats a great return. We've had Miller and Wilson so far this season that have the ability and have taken their chance. As for the others they are probably not ready and / or good enough to step up and may never be ready.

It happens every time Celtic are at Fir park but nothing ever gets done.

A manager who took us to the champions league for the 1st time and gave me some of my proudest moments as a well fan would be welcome anytime.
-
But probably can't afford, if he's coming back to Scotland he may be taking a wage cut, but even then I reckon he'd still be on too much for our budget.

I can't believe how many people are falling for this " a good manager hounded out by foul mouthed fans" bullshit. SK walked because he was out of ideas, unable to determine his best 11 from what he had available, playing players out of position, non threatening sitting back and hoping something would happen tactics, strange random substitutions, alleged dressing room fallouts, and generally having no plan to turn our form round. So before being punted he walks bleating about alleged personal abuse etc the media take the bait and all of a sudden it's the fans fault and his reputation is clear, the club board and the WS then make it worse by effectively backing up his claims again blaming the fans. So all we've had for days is negative PR and how toxic our support is, not a word about the brutal football SK had us playing. I gave him the benefit of the doubt up to the cup defeat but then the shambles the next week convinced me he had lost the dressing room and was out of ideas. He's gone so we move on and hopefully get a manager in that sets us up to actually try to win games again, but given the PR disaster the board and the WS failed to avoid I hope they get their act together in choosing the right manager to take the club forward, time will tell.

He played for Rangers

The Scottish media will say nothing against the ugly sisters, especially the green ones in case they upset them. Likewise the SFA / SPFL will also be deaf dumb and blind to their conduct and do feck all as usual, it's Scotlands shame which has no place in modern society.
-
He was done as a player a long time ago, we've got enough invalids on the books already.
-
Tbh a 4-2 defeat flattered Celtic big time, should have been at least 6.
-
We don't need him or any of the bigoted baggage that he brings with him.
-
It's 2-2 now

Linfield are in with a shout of the league title so I can't see Healy going anywhere before the summer.
-
A few of their fans have already tried that Dave.

The WS are not helping with the statement they put out, A terribly sad situation,” he said. “I hope that we as fans can reflect on this and do things differently. A manager with an impressive win record who has developed players and brought in significant transfer revenue. Thank you for everything, Stuart.” Bkaming the fans but no mention of how brutal we have been in recent weeks, no direction or shape to the team, random selections and a general impression that the dressing room was lost etc. Everyone has jumped on the good manager becoming the victim and forced to leave fairy tale, not a good episode for the media / PR team.
-
We won't know till we see his first team selection on Sunday and how we set up, and yes we are managerless because the team have been brutal for weeks and SK had no idea how to turn it round and walked. Don't believe the personal abuse fairy tales were the reason.
-
To be fair there is some merit in that scenario, on the assumption that he will recognise the mistakes SK made and change our style to get the best from the players we have available. Steady the ship and see us clear of relegation hopefully still top 6, then bring in a new face in the summer for the required rebuild.
-
As I said earlier current or ex managers with any random connection to the ugly sisters are immediately the front runners or hot favourites, less than 24 hrs after the job became available ffs. Can you imagine the shit storm on here if Lennon was even considered 😱
-
The personal abuse stuff is bullshit, it's SK trying to keep his reputation intact to deflect from the fact that he had lost the dressing room and ran out of ideas. And it's worked, he's now the victim a good manager forced out of a job by the foul mouthed fans. As a rule anything written about football clubs outwith the ugly sisters by the west of Scotland media is best ignored as its mainly pandering bullshit with a blue or green tinge depending on what "big team" the journo supports.
-
Now that SK is history and a percentage of the forum members will be struggling for things to post until we have someone else in place, who would we like to be appointed? The good, the bad and the never under any circumstances contenders, thoughts please.
-
We will if our form immediately picks up, Dan Casey is back smiling, and we actually look like a football team again. For me he walked before he was pushed.
-
Why, St Mirren have been as brutal as us in recent weeks.
-
For me the personal abuse thing is all smoke and mirrors, he probably got slagged just as much last year on the winless run. For me he was losing the dressing room, and reality dawned on him that he was not going to turn our form around so he jumped before he was pushed, throw some personal abuse allegations out there and his reputation is intact. The Celtic game will be very interesting to see how the team responds, the performance there will tell us all we need to know.

What are your other goals then, where do you see Motherwell aiming for, is nearly 40 years in the top division, numerous European qualifications, several cup finals and 1 trophy to our name not enough for a club of our size?
