  1. According to STV news, we are trying to bring in another 2 players tonight, no clues as to who they are.
  2. Tony Watt allegedly having a medical at St Mirren, https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/64416376
  3. Hmmmm I can see him coming back, tbf if he does and scores a few goals etc and we avoid the bottom 2 places then nobody will care what went on previously. At this stage of the season we need to take a punt as the squad is severely lacking in goal scoring threat, so why not bring Watt back in.
  4. He's made a lot of cash over the years Dave conning teams into thinking he's a good player to get lucrative contracts and signing on fees, then moving on when they find out he's brutal, all based on one goal against Barcelona 10 years ago, good work if you can get it.
  5. All joking aside, the squad is paper thin just now, no cover available, that's why Johansen has been playing. So yes we may get a few quid for him but letting him go with no replacement lined up is not good business. That said if the financial issues are as bad as has been suggested the board will take the cash.
  6. I agree with you but for me that's down to the club being as badly managed off the field as it is on it. SH should never have been appointed in the 1st place no previous managerial experience but he was the cheap easy option. Sticking with Hammell will get us relegated as it is obvious he has no idea how to turn things round, add this to Burrows leaving, suggestions of financial issues and the club has big problems. For me it's vital that we get an experienced manager in ASAP to turn things round and keep us up this year as going down, and all the issues that brings could be a disaster for the club longer term. But given the apparent unstabillity in the boardroom, possible financial problems etc I have no confidence that the board will make the changes needed in time.
  7. Be careful telling the truth about KVV, ie he's the laziest player I've seen in years gets you shouted at by some on here.
  8. Maybe next weekend he be pictured with a well scarf round his neck at Fir Park 😀
  9. It's like talking to Grandpa Simpson with you, last post was a million pounds on VAR, Lamie being denied a penalty and now its the pitch being blamed for us being shite 🤦‍♂️
  10. Wtf has that got to do with us being utter shite today?
  11. Agree with that, it was one of the main concerns I had when the when the well society was being set up. We now have limited fan ownership and an input to the club which is great, but there is obviously not enough money coming in from that source to assist the club as they wanted to.
  12. Looking for a rich millionaire or company with money to spare to come in and fund the club, does that imply that the Well society and the fan ownership initiative might not be as successful as the club had hoped. 🤔
  13. No it's not, yes there are a few of the Darvel team that have played for league teams but they are part time and at Darvel because they were not good enough to play at a higher level and make a living solely as a pro footballer the WOS premier league is their level.
  14. Let's be honest there is no way premiershipship sides should be losing to non league part time teams, Darvel rode their luck last night, a big deflection for their goal, an Aberdeen goal flagged offside, when Clarkson was a yard on, combined with Aberdeen being embarrassingly bad gave them the result. As we saw ourselves against Sligo if your attitude on the day is as bad as your play then you get nothing, this applies to any team you play, not just the lower and non league teams.
  15. Craig Moore just came on as a sub for Darvel against Aberdeen in the cup, Darvel currently 1-0 up 76 mins played.
  16. Draw at 6pm tonight, number 5 at Fir park is the ideal Draw.
  17. TO be fair you've probably has a better chance of winning the lottery than seeing a Motherwell win in the last 12 months, as you say let's hope the goals keep coming and lottery of the new signings pays off.
  18. Is that not what we have all been wishing for recently?
  19. Limited run mental health charity strip, sold out in days, the club needs to get more strips in ASAP as it will sell, Fizoxy beat me to it 🙂
  20. Unless you are spending ridiculous amounts of cash to buy an established player with a proven track record, and even then its no guarantee of success a long contract is a good move business wise, protecting your interests etc. But at our level every player is a punt so a 3 year deal might be the thing that seals the deal and I assume that the manager fully expects the player to do well, improve the team etc, so a long contract would be justified. Bringing in players on longer contracts also builds a team, assuming they live up to expectations, which is a better option than constantly having to rebuild a squad every season. As I said the 3 year deals were gambles that never paid off but if the players need to be moved on mid contract we can at least get a fee for them and recoup some of the investment, all assuming some other team want to buy them.
  21. Never read the full thing just looked at the photo.
  22. Right, a bit of happy clapping required here, as shite as we have been this season we are going to win this one. Arbroath had a decent season last year, but they've been shit this year and are struggling to avoid heading back to league 1 where they belong, player for player we have a much better team, so we will have too much for them. This game is the ideal opportunity to get a bit of confidence back in team, so I fully expect us to win. If it all goes Pete tong and its a repeat of the Albion rovers game a few seasons back, then feel free to remind me accordingly, 👏👏
  23. Just back in, what a shitfest that was, especially our game management it is feckin brutal the number of points we have lost this season from winning positions is criminal. Apart from a couple of comfortable saves for Kelly, RC offered feck all and in all honesty deserved nothing from the game. We were brutal all over the park today, but eventually got our noses in front with a well worked goal, and then our complete inability to see games out kicked in, Solholm is a bomb scare absolutely shocking, penny made a bad error but sol stood and watched the man run off him to score. So a bad day at the office again, but there are still 17 games and 51 points to play for so it's far from over, teams don't get relegated in January. For me Crankshaw looked good, some nice touches, bit of pace so he could turn out to be a decent signing, and a full 90 mins for Jonhston were a couple of bright spots. So we still have plenty of time to turn this Current nightmare form round, unless SH walks, I can't see him being sacked before the end of the season but he needs help big time, I only hope he gets it.
  24. Surely that should read "As the back end of a horse"
