More defensive errors. Why do we make it so difficult for ourselves. Continually.
-
Looks like we're going 4-3-3 with Cole, Lang and Watt upfront. Don't see any creativity in midfield.

You don't get offside against the Old Firm - unless its against you!

Seedorf? I suppose Alexander needs to give everyone a chance but he'll soon find out that Seedorf is not the answer.

Game 21: Hamilton Accies (H) December 29th 2019
Mortonhallwell replied to Andy_P's topic in Club Chat
We just know Accies will bring their brand of anti football to stop us from playing. I expect a very frustrating afternoon ahead. Just hope they don't score first as their time wasting, fouling and general spoiling tactics will reach a new level. However we have the quality and class to ensure the points remain at Fir Park. -
Good idea. While we're at it let's get Maurice Malpas back as well.

2018'19 Game 5: Heart of Midlothian (H) Saturday 15th September 2018
Mortonhallwell replied to Andy_P's topic in Club Chat
Given the gulf in resources we matched Hearts all over the pitch today. They went 4-5-1 in 2nd half to defend their lead rather than push on and get a second. We can take alot from todays game and hopefully we'll get the breaks in the Cup tie. -
2018'19 Game 4: Dundee (A) Saturday 1st September 2018

You just know that should we fail to beat Hearts there will be those calling for his head again. However I agree, he is doing an excellent job. -
2018'19 Game 3: Rangers (H) Sunday 26th August

Another truly awful performance from Thomson. So much inconsistency on his decisions. How Lafferty never got booked after diving, time wasting and fouling is a complete mystery. -
2018'19 Game 3: Rangers (H) Sunday 26th August

Craig Thomson is apparently the ref. Can't believe we've got this incompetent twat again. What's the betting he'll be the main topic of conversation after the game. -
Couldn't agree more. We've managed to pay off a large slice of debt while reaching 2 Cup finals and just missing out top 6. Some of us are behaving like Mould Firm supporters by pressing the panic button after 2 defeats. Robinson is working with one of the lowest budgets in the league so cut him some slack. He will get it right.

Scottish Premiership Game 12: Ross County (A) 04/11/17 15:00
Mortonhallwell replied to Yabba's Turd's topic in Club Chat
Bigirimana had to be helped off the pitch at the final whistle on Saturday with what looked like a serious leg injury. I wouldn't argue that he should start but he could well be struggling for the Ross County game. -
Just want to acknowledge the fantastic piece of business Stephen Robinson did by bringing in Peter Hartley to replace Ben Henegan. To bank £400k and bring in a ready made replacement is great work. I thought Hartley was superb on Saturday - he is a great organiser and very physical which are brilliant qualities for a defender. In fact all of his recruits have been excellent. I love big Cedric like everyone else but I think Craig Tanner is a superb player and looking forward to him getting an extended run in the team.Well done the manager!

Scottish Premiership Motherwell V Ross County Sat 6 May 15:00

I was keeping my mate updated with text messages today and had my full time text written just after County scored. No way were we going to equalise. No quality, no fight, no cohesion, just 11 individuals running around like headless chickens. Summed things up when we brought Griffiths up for a corner but took it before he got anywhere near their penalty box. We don't know the meaning of the word team. -

After Saturdays debacle I'm far from reassured. -
Scottish Premiership Motherwell V Dundee Sat 29April 15:00
Mortonhallwell replied to creaser09's topic in Club Chat
I thought our marking in our own penalty box was bad yesterday but having seen the highlights it was diabolical. We can't even do the basics and opposition players must love playing against us because of the freedom they get. Mentioned to my mate yesterday that Dundee were able to read dangerous situations and step in with a timely tackle. The first we seem to realise there is danger is when the ball is in our net. I really fear for us now, been saying all season we simply don't have enough good players and I can't see us getting out of the mess we're in with this squad of so called professionals. -
Just shows how corrupt the game is in this country. Browns challenge was a red card all day long and for it to be downgraded sums up why Scottish football is a joke.

Scottish Premiership Kilmarnock V Motherwell Sat 4 Mar 15:00

We simply don't have the players to get us out of this mess, especially in defence. Cannot see us finishing anything better than 11th. -

Well said. Couldn't agree more.

We nearly fell into foreign ownership before Les Hutchison stepped in to take over the club. I for one am very glad he did. I am a Well Society member and will continue to give what I can. The last thing we need is the club being taken over by someone whose motives are at best questionable. Vladimir Romanov anyone?

I arranged for Joe to make a surprise guest appearance at my Dad's 80th a few years ago and a nicer gentleman you could not meet. RIP Joe. Hope you meet up with my Dad to reminisce about the old times.

This. I was at our first game against Inverness and we closed them down all over the pitch. I thought this would be the way we would play this season but sadly I was wrong.
-
Up at Inverness we pressed them all over the pitch and stopped them from playing. I thought that would be our game plan for the season certainly away from home. Not tonight. We stood off and allowed Hearts to make their passes. Can't understand why we didn't play the way we did in Inverness?
