  1. Ahh think that was due to 'Skippy Sunday' they have never got over that
  2. exactly, maybe I went on too long but my sentiments as well
  3. Thats what Boyle promised he would do. I wonder what is going on with Boyle that he needs this sorted as quickly, deadlines are set and he is getting out no matter what. I know his shares have been up for offer for some considerable time but it is the first time there has been such a deadline. Also if the WS do get the soft loan/ funding etc then where does that leave funding going forward. If all the cash is tied up in buying the shares and keeping us afloat then we are basically treading water. I know we can once again cut out cloth accordingly but if we do anymore we will be a part time club. If we do turn part time (it has been hinted at in the past) I don't see us going any other way other than a quick exit of the Premiership and down the leagues. If John Boyle sells out to the 'other' bidder then I also have grave fears for the identity of the club. It may be lost forever if we become a feeder club for South american players. If you lose the soul of the club then what is the point of continuing to support it. I have no answers, I am just thinking out aloud, wondering the best way forward if there is one. The only thing I can see is that no matter what happens there will be even less cash to keep the team going under the WS and no team at all as we know it under the other option if rumours are to be believed. This is truly a watershed moment for the club
  4. Have they..?? news to me I thought he had distanced himself from the job at least publicly. Haven't heard any new approach from either side since other than some fantasists on here. Also this Nobbie Solano group, I know Boyle wants rid of his shares but I know that he is very keen in getting the right person(s) to take over the club or he would have already sold it to the one dodgy guy a few years back during the Malpas era. I can't see this ever happening, no one in their right mind would sell the club, not even Boyle to a Craig Whyte type character again in Scotland.
  5. somewhere to bury all the bodies from deals gone wrong..?
  6. I agree my reference was to the guys looking for Faddy, Scott Leitch etc
  7. Sorry but the folk on here looking for ex-Well player combinations as manager(s) need to get out of fantasy land, that is the quickest route to relegation and financial disaster. A proven, roll up the sleeves, no nonsense manager is what's needed right now. Get a grip of that dressing room. There are experienced professionals who need sorted out. IF they can provide a performance like the last game then where the hell were they all season. Funny how when players are under pressure and they don't want to lose their comfortable contracts under a new manager they then up their game. These players are supposed professionals. Time to get the right man in and lay down the law.If they can roll up the sleeves like they done against united they should be ashamed of themselves that they couldn't so it under McCall. First time I have felt such animosity towards our players. They always seemed to have a decent work ethic but the last wee while they have in my mind been very poor in effort and professionalism
  8. Take out Vigurs name replace it with any Motherwell player and you realise they are almost all the same...
  9. If United score early this could be a hammering as the morale will plummet and the usual suspects will hide in plain view. On the other hand it will be interesting to see how Black formation differs from McCall's. Will it be an attacking formation or full of defenders..?
  10. Unfortunately with the turmoil behind the scenes with finances and potential new owners whether that's the WS or someone else there will be no change of structure or management until the new owners come in. McCall will never walk you can see that in his interviews, he just thinks we are going through a rough patch, he doesn't see his management as an issue. Mind you I don't think i have heard any reporters actually asking him any hard questions despite this terrible run. Short term nothing is going to happen until at least January imo, by that time we will be adrift at the bottom.
  11. Maybe its just the way I am reading between the lines, but, from that email it appears that there is the possibility of someone else buying the club or another consortium. It also does not look like it is a welcome takeover by the way the email is written.
  12. This has been my thinking for a while now. I also think his backroom staff especially Kenny Black should have these guys fighting fit and working their asses off. However I don't think Black is that type of coach and doesn't crack the whip when it is needed. Having watched a few training sessions they don't appear stressed physically at all when they finish. Not saying they should be crawling out but they should look as if they have been put through the mill. Maybe I am just not up with modern training techniques and they don't put as much emphasis on physical conditioning anymore.
  13. Great idea..!! Flexi ticket has a lot of appeal http://www.motherwel...k-flexi-ticket/
  14. The Well Society ‏@TheWellSociety 2hWe are optimistic we will reach the £800,000 target by the end of November following confidential talks over a soft loan. Any more info about this anyone..?
  15. agree with this..for me fan ownership will never allow us to progress in any way. Tin hat on.
  16. I have mixed emotions on this. On the one hand I feel he should be concentrating on getting some major problems sorted here first. However, for any person to improve they need to get new ideas, new ways of doing things. If McCall can pick up new ideas then it may be no bad thing. I just wish we could use different tactics as ours are so easily read I don't think opposition coaches even bother turning up to watch us play anymore.
  17. Fuck them lets get in about this shite, fuck the accies we will hammer them. If the players can't get up for a derby they should be tarred and feathered and run out of town.
  18. We must also have the emptiest corporate boxes in the league. I believe the club were looking to target businesses more in an effort to increase the cash coming into the club. Fingers crossed that this is being done at the moment. I think the club have done a lot to encourage fans to come to games but as many said the numbers are falling. We need to plug the shortfall in cash from gate receipts and season tickets with money from the private sector if we can. With the country very much in turmoil then I am not optimistic but hope we can try to get something.
  19. I would agree David if it wasn't for the way we are getting beat. Teams are beating us pretty comfortably just now. How many chances did we have on goal today at home, very few. When our top goal scorer and main threat is subbed it says a lot. Maybe most won't agree, it's early doors as you say but if we had been close possession wise, tackles flying in and a few shots on goal I would agree but the fight is not there compared to last season.
  20. Wishing you all the best 'psycho' one of my all time favourites, if only the modern Well players had his attitude.
