  1. and his post match interview..anyone who throws a bottle of water at Chick Young gets my vote http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/8890777.stm
  2. The way he punches his chest, gets the crowd going and sacrifices his body for the team in every challenge really makes you love his commitment. We have seen so called stars come and go in our club but for commitment and desire to win there's not many that can match Craigan. He was enormous tonight and really played the captain's part, thought he was gonna jump into the East at one point during the game
  3. He was outstanding, getting the fans going half way through the 2nd half and punching his chest, Won absolutely everything in the air on the ground. HE IS MOTHERWELL..!! A special mention for the goalie, didn't have a lot to do but won everything in the box, every cross was his. Confident and assured. Murphy done well and continues to set records
  4. ok...me and the wee man are out of here, Section C East Stand here we come..see you all there..c'mon the Well..!!
  5. Been a while since I was in Daniels to my shame, will I be able to bring my young son in for a cola whilst I get a larger refreshment prior to the game?.
  6. Ah the witty retort...!! I notice you didn't make any comment regarding the subject of the thread just posted shite, I notice you done the same of the Casagolda thread, By any chance can you form a point on any subject. Honestly, If ye tell people to stop moaning your a fanboy, you cannae win
  7. Few people on here need to dry their eyes, some I swear just come on here to greet and moan constantly. If you didn't get a renewal get aff yer fat lazy arse and get up to the stadium. Oh thats right you need lifted an laid. Get a grip, someone made a mistake, big deal, get on with it
  8. I think its more of the first option, loosen the purse strings. To be fair, If I was Boyle I am not sure I would either. Having just invested upwards of half a million on the pitch, securing the services of our younger players for a few years as investment opportunities. Also watching an ever decreasing attendances then as a businessman he is trying to cut costs to keep the club alive. I would also hope Motherwell would have a business investment like property. Leasing houses in the new Ravenscraig area possibly. I don't really know if its worth the initial outlay and servicing costs, I am not a business person. The new directors recently announced at the club all appear to have financial backgrounds, lets hope these guys are not just there for the free tickets and are working on increasing the turnover.
  9. As long as I get one sod everyone else
  10. A wee bit more of the game. Make sure you watch it in 720p for best quality. Boys done well..!!
  11. Just back from the park getting my tickets. There was a camera crew from Norway there. They had a full size picture of that 6'8" forward they have. Bloody big. Had my son holding an Aalesund scarf and taking some photos also interviewing fans for Norwegian TV. They were asking a few questions about the team, How many goals do you think Jamie Murphy will score in Europe this season, they were told at least another two against your mob . Also asked how they thought Motherwell could handle things if it got a bit physical and how we thought Aalesund would fare in the game, well, I will leave you to figure out the responses as the guys made a sharpish exit towards the entrance to the POD, fans were in good spirits
  12. You are not linked in anyway to Esteban Casagolda are you??
  13. Just back from the U17 game at Airdrie. The young uns won 3-2 in a pretty good match on Airdrie United new plastic surface. That surface is absolutely perfect looking. Apparently the best FIFA approved 3G in Europe just now. This allowed for a free flowing game. I believe this was the first match on the surface which if you didn't know it was plastic you would swear the surface was dry and the ball held up on the 'grass' quite a bit and didn't run away like some plastic surfaces I have played on. Anyhoos have some video of some of the goals I can post up I took on the Iphone4. Bit far away looking but heyho better than nothing.
  14. Ok I will bite and accept what you say...Just a couple of questions, why is he coming here and is pretty adamant he wants to play for the well, call me cynical but why not Hearts, Hibs etc, why the well??. oh and who else is coming on board?
  15. Can anyone even confirm the guy is here on trial??. Flow..??
  16. from the same board - Got a reply from my mate in Belgium. "Yes, I know him well, he was part of our youth academy for a few years. He made his breakthrough while we were still in the Belgian top flight but never made it. He was part of the group a few times (among our 16 players for certain games) but never got to play a single minute with us. We had to get rid of some players after we got relegated and that's how he ended up at RC Mechelen in Division 3. Mechelen just got relegated to Division 4 after a terrible season but I have no idea how he fared for them. Would think that RC Mechelen's level last season was not on a patch with yours, despite the fact County ended up in the exact same situation as them. I reckon he has potential, question is obviously to know if that potential will materialise into something tangible one day. PS: he's rumoured to have signed with SK Zottegem (Belgian Division 3) over here? " and regarding the 'goals' he is alleged to have scored in his career For all I know, the stats your "friend" has might be correct for Casagolda's games in our youth teams but he has NEVER ever scored a single goal for us in a competitive game. After all, I've only been going to Molenbeek for 21 years, haven't it? So 26 goals in 51 games? Where and when? Casagolda is 23. RWDM went bankrupt and only reappeared as FC Brussels in the 2002-2003 season. Meaning he was 14 in the last RWDM year. A 14 year old kid playing first team football in the Belgian top flight? Please..... Just had a more detailed look and I think the stats your "friend" is coming with are combined reserves/youth teams stats. Casagolda has played twice with our first team: once in a friendly and once in the league where he came in as a sub with two minutes to play. So that's 26 goals in two minutes according to your best mate. Not bad at all, surprised the Guiness book is not on it. I am willing to pay to know in which first team games he scored!
  17. Is it no a building firm who are the sponsors just for the preseason friendlies..??
  18. Was up watching the training when that Spanish guy and his agent turned up. Is it just me or does Broon look a bit frail..!! I know he is 70 but was really struck by how frail looking he was. Not that it takes away from his ability to manage the club, just an observation. The Spanish guy was in jeans and t-shirt and was watching the training and chatting to Broonie and co. Looks about 6 foot, bit thin looking. Obviously Erchie and Paw will have a closer look at what he can do on the park.
  19. FWIW I think the attempts to flog Reynolds like this is embarrassing and also appears we are pretty desperate. How must he feel turning up to training knowing everyone at the club is trying to flog him for a few sheckles. I for one think that we should not be flogging our best players for next to nowt in the vain hope that the cash will buy 2 other players who might never be near as good enough as Reynolds. Yes the club are trying to cash in on a young talent who could leave later for nowt but they way they are doing it is as I said appearing more desperate every day. It just confirms to me anyway that we won't see anymore signings as the club is REALLY skint. Just a bit scary of how short of cash we appear to be. Just my own humble opinion
  20. Apparently the biggest problem they have just now is foxes digging up the pitch....hmmm wonder if Mr Boyle has a shotgun licence
  21. Like the away one the best, deffo going to purchase that. Simple and smart..!!
