  1. WTF is the point buying a season ticket at this club when then management post is like a swivelling door, no continuity, no chance to build anything, we are living basically year to year, absolutely ridiculous way to treat fans and players. Come on Boyle show some leadership here...!!
  2. Yeah I was thinking more about Legends, heroes come and go really but a player who stays with you your whole life and you know would sacrifice his body for the club every time they stepped on the park or who ignored the calls of the so called bigger clubs to remain with 'his' club. Guys who play through the pain barrier for his club who fails to give up despite being 3-0 down, now those guys I love. Those to me are real Well legends I have changed the heading to reflect what I mean, sorry if this confused anyone
  3. Just having a look at Joe Wark thread and Kirkie's thread got me wondering. Its been a hell of a long time since we had a real legend at the club in recent times its been Uncle Phil, Craggs James McFadden etc but these guys have been few and far between in recent years. I remember the Joe Warks, Davie Coopers, Psycho O'Neill and going further back Ian St John, Andy Payton, Willie Hunter, Pettigrew, I could go on as we had many many club heroes. Being an old fart and remembering the days when players stayed beyond 3 years at the club I was wondering if we will ever have players with a real affinity with the club and fans. With the financial crisis, bosman, and the general decline of all things football in Scotland have we seen the last of true Well heroes??.
  4. Yeah I can't see anything remotely like that being built LadywellTOI anywhere in the UK never mind our stadium. I think something that looks something similar to the Ravenscraig Football area gets a thumbs up from me. Plenty of shiny metal (non rusting of course ( Mr Barr to note)) loads of parking and I would still say we need a 10k seater. I have a funny feeling that there will be nothing re a new stadium and it will be about this trust setup at the club with JB stepping down.
  5. Its about time we got some news re the club, Its been coming right enough, plenty of speculation for months, now we have something tangible. Can't wait to hear the full plans maself..C'mon the Well..!!
  6. A brand spanking new Steel Arena (new name for Fir Park). 10,000 seater, One stand just for that - standing. Big circular stadium with 5,000 car park and huge bar with big screen that can hold about 2,000 people on matchday. 10 full sized training pitches that can be hired out and a full covered indoor park for the team's own use. Built in heat lamps with the floodlights for all year grass growth. My idea of what we should run out on
  7. No change there then Motherwell 3- 0 Aberdeen Blackman hat-trick
  8. Well deserved 3 points and a good away result, clean sheet too.
  9. ...because I don't want to see my club getting all the shit again from the SPL, SFA and all the media as per, wish our headlines were about how good the team play, doesn't matter if we win 6-0 now all the headlines will be about the smoke bombs
  10. What an absolute tit, you condone this stupidity, so doesn't bother you the club will get into bother, get a large fine we can't afford?
  11. Who are these fucking idiots letting of smoke bombs in the Motherwell end, do they not realise we will be hammered, ban these fuckers for life
  12. I heard that they had ran out of Chapman's Pies before 'Flow got his quota
  13. Youngie may be a lot of things but inexperienced is not one of them. Just because he hasn't taken the full team out at Fir Park but he has MANAGED almost every player to have played in the first team over the years and has great respect not just from the players but for the job he does. Yes it may be behind the scenes. Have you seen the enthusiasm this guy has for all things Motherwell. You can keep yer adams and boothroyds, Youngie has everything required and his youth teams always play fast free flowing football and is a joy to watch. How are guys like him supposed to get a job if you dismiss him immediately. Guys like McLeish etc got jobs as manager here and had fuck all or very little experience with anyone else never mind at Motherwell
  14. Just in. I really cannot understand why we didn't use Humphrey more down the wing. The guy was a lone figure on the right for large stretches of the game. He was desperate to run down that wing. Willing to take any player on and get some sort of cross in. He got my man of the match by a fair stretch. Sutton appears to be suffering from whatever laid him low for the Kilmarnock game and was pretty quiet. Murphy looked good in patches but was way too casual at the penalty. Blackman tried hard but was up against it. Lots of effort but had a glorious chance in the 2nd half. Appears one footed and was the reason he headed instead of putting his foot through the ball. Craigan's distribution was pretty woeful, but I forgive the big man Think the crowd was over 10k which is brilliant. We could have won that game by a fair stretch if we had played anything like we did against Aalesund. The linesman on the East Stand side I swear was watching another game, his REFUSAL to see blatant penalties is beyond me. He was only getting to the offisde line and the players had already turned away back up the park. He could not keep up with play, it was astonishing at times. Was I the only one who saw one of their players at least 10 yards offside at one point..?? Oh well, 3rd in SPL will have to do and good runs in the cups.
  15. Stop sitting on the fence will ye
  16. Why is it in there??? anyway can one of the mods pm a password for that area as well, thanks in advance.
  17. Seriously, Did you actually read the 3 posts above your own. As for the seats, it will be the same as the last 2 Europa games, end sections are binned as they do not meet European rules.
  18. Let him in and then halfway through his broadcast send the boys in to throw him and the rest out the stadium, now that would be a ratings hit
  19. Well Well

    Hibernian

Randolph for me, I think he will be the difference in a lot of games whether we collect 3 points or not. Hope to god we get someone with some experience next to Craigan because we sorely need a good central defender as I think Reynolds head is elsewhere. Don't want him sold just want someone else in to take the pressure off. I don't doubt his ability but the constant pressure to sell him must be getting to him. We need to stop all this International Class, Better than Broadfoot, Selling him for a million nonsense and get behind the guy. Every time I come on this board someone wants him sold. Lets get behind him whilst he wears the jersey and let him know we want him to stay.
  20. Sorry, have to agree I thought this was one of Reynolds poorest games in a Well jersey. Not going to go overboard as very few get pass marks. Good first half spoilt by very poor communication. It again in my opinion shows how really frail we are at the back if teams really have a go and then its down to the usual last ditch defending. We may have some promising defenders coming through the ranks like Saunders but we need someone with a bit of experience alongside Craigan and Reynolds head is in another place just now. On his day he is a good solid defender, not in my opinion International class yet as many on here claim as today showed many of his frailties, poor distribution, lack of communication and tendency to get turned far too easily. Unsure if all the talk of selling Reynolds is playing mind games with him. I don't know if I would have the correct frame of mind if the manager and most of the fans wanted to sell me to bring other people in, would make you feel not wanted. I am a fan of Reynolds and hope that the constant speculation of him being touted for sale would stop and let the guy concentrate on his game.
