  1. Ha ha your right. I meant put us into the play off's ( iv got a massive hangover, so maybe not the best time to post )
  2. They'll be right up for this game tonight. It'll be written into there history if they effectively relegate us. Think it will be a hard game, but im going for a 1 nil with a dodgy Sutton penalty
  3. You don't think Hearts fans have enjoyed the Championship this year??
  4. Agree with this. Long term maybe not the best for a couple of players but its a must for us to have our best side out
  5. I would have thought we would have players out of contract Is this bad planning from us as a club because the story also goes on to say Queen of the South have there players signed up into June??? Presumably they've looked at when there season could end & signed up players accordingly while it doesn't look like we have. This isnt a dig by the way, more of a question
  6. Don't know if this has been mentioned. But if Hibs get to the Scotish cup final, how does that affect the dates of the play off game???? Players are out of contract round about the end of May??? ( I think )
  7. I'm pretty similar to you. I went home & away every season until a couple of years ago where i just got fed up of watching the same teams year in year out. I used to love going to Brockville & places like Tynecastle when it had no roof in the away stand when i was younger. Going to places like Kilmarnock twice a season where there no atmosphere is just brutal. For me i'd be more likely to buy a season ticket if we go down just to experience something different
  8. Ha ha your a weird one. In the run in to the split thread you actually use the word predict when you summarise how many points you thought results would bring in for teams. Your in denial ( border line delusional ) if you think we'll avoid the play off. You still haven't given any valid reason why based on us winning 9 games all season you think we can win the next 5????
  9. You have to applaud Ross County on there recent form. Beyond that your stance is we can miss the play offs, mine isn't. Doesn't mean I won't be supporting the team any less. But after witnessing the Thistle game ( a massive game ), I seen nothing that would suggest we can put the sort of run needed to avoid the play offs. When you talk about 2nd guessing what will happen in August. You started a threat where you predicted results for the teams round about us, 2nd guessing how teams would perform. ( you must have been really bored that day ) The reality whether you like it or not is its not in our hands where we finish in the league. We need to build momentum over the next few games, get confidence up & have our best go at the play offs If we drop points in the 1st game of the split we'll see if people remain the same positive stance & if we win all 5 & finish 10th I'll be delighted & say fair play to you
  10. That makes my point invalid then eh
  11. I was actually thinking earlier that if we do get relegated some of the more senior players might get more game time next season than potentially they would in the Premiership ( Hammell, Lasley etc ) Sutton will score goals with the right service. Problem is if he doesn't get the service as seen in the Thistle game then he doesn't offer much. I know others think he changed the Killie game, but i'm not entirely sure that was the case. I like Sutton by the way but next season you have to wonder what he will contribute if he's not scoring goals
  12. These 2 posts pretty much sum up my thoughts Great posts
  13. I wish i had wrote that ha ha
  14. Think that's the point though. A lot of sensible posts were made that Thistle was going to be a difficult game & then on the flip side there were posters predicting a 3 goal victory. Don't get me wrong we had 3 very very good results against Hamilton, St Mirren & Kilmarnock but people were definitely getting carried away. 9 victories all season simply means we wont win 5 on the bounce. Can we win the play off??? We certainly can but i'd be dreading a trip to Ibrox based on previous experiences. For me it's a good time for people to debate whether they think we'll stay up or not, there wouldnt be much debate after its all done & dusted
  15. You might not like the better supporter chat but it's definitely creeping into a couple of posts without being directly said. On the valid reasons chat I was going to ask something similar. I think we can win a play off. We won't avoid 11th. Simply because we've won 9 ( I think ) games all season. There was chat in the other thread about winning our next 5. When we've won 9 all season, what basis do you think we can win our next 5????
  16. Ha ha we're all supporters. But a forum is a place where people have views. & if u want to think we can get out of this mess brilliant..... & if others want to think we're going down & give valid reasons for it then it's their opinion..... For what people think the negative stuff is annoying...... The happy clapper stuff/ I'm a better supporter than u chat is equally annoying ( in my opinion )
  17. Spot on The next 5 games for me are all about gaining confidence & momentum & giving it our best shot regardless of who we get in the play off Someone said it before Our seasons all about 1 game now
  18. Think you make some valid points. Although I'm not sure Rangers will be any better next season other than if you think McCall as a manager will make the difference. I honestly don't see why people would fancy Rangers over Hibs. They managed to embarrass us when they were in the 3rd division never mind now Be fucking brilliant if we did beat them tho!!!!
  19. Looking at it sensibly it's a big ask to avoid 11th place & I think we would need to avoid The Rangers to stay up ( not because their any good or dodgy refereeing decisions, but because we've rolled over to many times before to them ) Said this in the other thread but I wouldn't mind a season in the 1st division just for something different Obviously that's on the basis we come straight back up Some of the older posters hate the idea of it having seen it before, for me it might give me more of an appetite for the premiership when we came back. Certainly don't think it would be a disaster
  20. Plus we could always try playing it into his feet once in a while
  21. ha ha Monday mornings are definitely acceptable not to be the best. Think you've summed up why i fancy the Championship, you obviously appreciate the top league much more because you've experienced the lower leagues. While as recently ( apart from this season ) we've maybe been a bit spoiled with our league success. Think a season in the Championship for me ( we'd need to come back after 1 though ) would probably give me a bit more excitement for the Premiership. Although i could just be telling myself it will be alright if we go down ha ha
  22. ha ha you love a Monday morning. I think what you mean is, " in your opinion" it wouldn't be a pleasing experience. To be fair to you at least you didn't go with the normal why don't you go & follow Rangers line. This is probably for another thread but the reality is Rangers will be back at some point, Celtic & Rangers will argue it out every year. We'll start with the same aspirations every single year, top 6 & a cup run & its boring boring boring We finish 2nd in the league & people aren't happy For me like i say it would just be something different ( probably be desperate to get back quickly though ) & i don't think its done Hearts any harm. I'm assuming if we get relegated ul stick with us rather than following someone else
  23. I was actually thinking something similar earlier. I've been going since I was about 7 in 1988 & have seen loads of things happen. Remarkable the amount of clubs perceived to be bigger than us that have been relegated while we've kept our top flight status. I wouldnt actually mind a year in the 1st division just for something different The only issue is whether we could come straight back up
  24. I haven't read all of this thread so this might have been said. For me regardless of who's fault it is we are where we are. Whether that's in the spl or 1st division remains to be seen. More interesting point for me is whether people think based on what they've seen Baraclough is the man to either get us back to the spl next season/ or back into the top 6 if we survive
  25. But previously u said a target man with a nippy striker was the best option For me Erwin & McDonald up top works Sutton as an impact sub works. What we lined up as yesterday simply didn't, that's not hindsight, it was obvious during the game & should have been changed earlier
