ha ha Monday mornings are definitely acceptable not to be the best. Think you've summed up why i fancy the Championship, you obviously appreciate the top league much more because you've experienced the lower leagues. While as recently ( apart from this season ) we've maybe been a bit spoiled with our league success. Think a season in the Championship for me ( we'd need to come back after 1 though ) would probably give me a bit more excitement for the Premiership. Although i could just be telling myself it will be alright if we go down ha ha -

ha ha you love a Monday morning. I think what you mean is, " in your opinion" it wouldn't be a pleasing experience. To be fair to you at least you didn't go with the normal why don't you go & follow Rangers line. This is probably for another thread but the reality is Rangers will be back at some point, Celtic & Rangers will argue it out every year. We'll start with the same aspirations every single year, top 6 & a cup run & its boring boring boring We finish 2nd in the league & people aren't happy For me like i say it would just be something different ( probably be desperate to get back quickly though ) & i don't think its done Hearts any harm. I'm assuming if we get relegated ul stick with us rather than following someone else -

I was actually thinking something similar earlier. I've been going since I was about 7 in 1988 & have seen loads of things happen. Remarkable the amount of clubs perceived to be bigger than us that have been relegated while we've kept our top flight status. I wouldnt actually mind a year in the 1st division just for something different The only issue is whether we could come straight back up -
I haven't read all of this thread so this might have been said. For me regardless of who's fault it is we are where we are. Whether that's in the spl or 1st division remains to be seen. More interesting point for me is whether people think based on what they've seen Baraclough is the man to either get us back to the spl next season/ or back into the top 6 if we survive

But previously u said a target man with a nippy striker was the best option For me Erwin & McDonald up top works Sutton as an impact sub works. What we lined up as yesterday simply didn't, that's not hindsight, it was obvious during the game & should have been changed earlier -

I definitely take your points. Although I think ur still saying Erwin & Sutton can't work in the same team ha ha I've read this forum for years without contributing. I think this may be one of the 1st threads Iv read where most people are giving a balance view on where they think the team/manager/club are at the moment. Some people think we can win 4 games. Some people think we're destined for the play offs. For me it depends if St Mirren can take anything again Ross county. Either way if the team show heart & desire to scrap for every ball then the fans will get behind them -

For me most teams in the spl can beat each other on there day. I certainly thought Partick would be a difficult game. We just offered nothing apart from the Sutton chance. Agree we looked really flat & lethargic for a big big game. That's nothing to do with players freezing in my opinion, more a lack of belief that the set up was right to win the game for me. I think majority of well fans would have been thinking we need to change this within 5 minutes of the 2nd half. On the Straker debate. Yesterday for me he wasn't worse than anyone else. Am sure the fans will get right behind the team in the next game, & the game after that, & the game after that. But they really need to give more than they did yesterday -

Im confused at your point ( could be the fact I'm still drunk to be fair ) You make it sound like a lot of Motherwell fans that spent decent money to watch that pish yesterday & pleased that there prophecies have been proved right??? You then go on to say effectively that Erwin is never a left mid as he wouldnt work for Sutton??? Also that the writing was on the wall from free kicks. Seems your prophecies came to fruition as well. For me I don't mind the fact we started with the team we did, but any Motherwell fan there could see it needed changed within 5 minutes of the re-start. Baraclough new that as wee hence why he tried McDonald at left mid. Why not simply take Sutton off ( who I like ), bring Thomas on left mid & get back to Erwin & McDonald up front. Thomas was never going to do anything by the time he come on. The game was already done. He's by no means the saviour, but couldn't have been any worse that the dross on show yesterday I hope we do, but we're never winning 4 on the bounce -
I went for null. I don't like it either but no-one justified man of the match or least pish. Long made some decent saves but his kicking was shocking

Said this last week after the killie game. The amount of free kicks we give away round about our box is shocking For the 1st goal the free kick McDonald gave away was criminal. Just no need for it. Good player Lyal Taylor from what Iv seen. But we didn't half make it easy for him today. On a side note how pish was there support -

Just the matter of the defeat today. Have to agree if Sutton scores it might be a different game. I don't mind getting beat if I feel we've had a go at it. But pumping long ball after long ball & hoping for the best is sickening to watch At one point we had McDonald playing on the left. Clueless -

I was going to write the same thing about Motherwell 89's optimism & thought I'd give mysef time to think about it 1st. I don't think many people there today will be expecting us to stay up -

Just in. Can't even fathom how last week at killie can be so different from the performance today. The only good thing about the game was the well fans. & fuck knows how because the team gave us nothing. Long balls are just ridiculous, not sure what our forwards are meant to do with ball after ball pumped 40 yards into them. Lack of fight!!!! Lack of service for our front men!!! Embarrassing performance in a must win/not lose game -

I'm not a fan of the mind games. Get the best 11 on the park. Give 100% & believe we can win it. If it's good enough it's good enough, if it's not you can't ask for any more as a fan. Right up for tomorrow now -

Celtic won 2 nil in Paisley which in my opinion is a very different score than what it would have been if it was at Celtic park. Don't know if anyone saw the Aberdeen v Partick highlights from last week but Partick could have easily put 4 by them. Much harder game this w/end than many are predicting. & as someone said earlier, the pressure is very much on us against thistle for me. Any sort of win will do. If we don't win the baraclough out thread will be fun on Saturday night -

I think the fact that Celtic only beat them 2 nil at home for me makes a 3 nil very unlikely for us at Firhill Just to clarify I'd be delighted if we rip them apart tho -

With the amount of 3 nil predictions that pays 40/1 there could be a couple of very good coupon wins at the w/end. I'm not a happy clapper or a doom merchant. But a 3 goal victory is a bit wild even with our recent form. I'd settle for a scrappy 1 nil -

Expectations gone through the roof with our recent revival. Hoping for 3 points but agree with previous comments that a point wouldn't be a disaster Should be a very decent game -
Simple as that for me

Am sure we'll take a decent crowd for this. I went to the Killie game & that was my first game for years but you get the passion back pretty quickly after a break. Massive game -
For me It was a decent performance at Kilmarnock. I'd stick with the same team other than if Hammell's fit. Having not seen Straker before I thought he looked a little out his depth at this level, Hammell's a risk with the injuries but I think it's such an important game it's worth taking if he's there or there about I'd stick with the keeper & work on shutting down crossing opportunities as a team
