  1. If it was a straight choice between Graham Alexander or Stuart Kettlewell definitely 💯 Kettlewell for me

Appreciate people will have different views on this , we do have people in our fanbase who like to criticise everything, I am not on Twitter but see it on Facebook all the time even before a game

  2. Stuart Kettlewell is doing the job to the best of his ability I do not doubt that .  Currently on a very poor run at the minute with 2 wins in the league from 22 albeit plenty of draws , those draws have saved his job and as the old saying goes if you can’t win best not to lose . We are at least harder to beat .  It is where we are at present .  Things have been poor in general on the park in the last 3/4 seasons . It started in the last days of Robbo who I was and still  a big fan of . The performances have improved since Christmas along with the form of Theo Bair , do believe he can easily hit 15 for the season now maybe more

No it isn't but how anyone could compare that European shite to sticking it to the OF especially in a game that hurts them is beyond me.

For me there hasn't been a single European game / result that compares to sticking it to the OF.at any time.

    Exactly the way I feel

My favourite Well games are of course the 1991 final , and another one is the 6-6 comeback against Hibs

Apart from that it is wins against the 2 Glasgow mobs , include a win against the  Airdrie in 2007 which was pleasing

It is great to get into Europe of course as a club, though definitely wouldn’t be swapping it for St Johnstones 3 cup wins . Other fans quite rightly so will think different which is fine by me

As pessimistic as I am about Sunday and any game against the Old Firm nowadays, I desperately hope that we can defy the odds and finally get a win against them. It would be especially satisfying to finally get a win against Celtic and that sanctimonious shark faced prick Rodgers and hopefully drive another nail into their title challenge.

No doubt we will lose by 2 or 3 because I am a jinx , hopefully though we get at least a draw or a win

I totally understand other Well fans saying it is just another 3 points which of course it is

I just love to see us take points off either those teams , not just for a bit of bragging rights but just as well for my whole entire lifetime supporting Well I have took more slagging off those two sets of fans than any other (big style) . I include family members and close friends in that and great to hear them silenced even for a day or two

  5. I think as a club we need to stop all the negativity going into these type of games .

Kilmarnock as an example are like a 1990s equivalent of ourselves .  For a club of relatively similar resources , fanbase etc they go into these games against both Glasgow mobs believing they can get something

I do think in recent seasons we tend to play better away from home in these games but at Fir Park there is a feeling of we are beat when the first goal goes in

No better time to change it than this weekend

Wasn’t a huge fan of hers but I’d take her back right now. If nothing else it would be an experienced head running the club.

I’d be surprised if she came back though. Obviously the big stumbling block would be her salary which I doubt we could afford now, plus Tam Cowan on Off the Ball earlier said that he spoke to her during the week and one of the big reasons for her stepping down at Queens Park is because she was “knackered” with the workload and hours so I can’t see her jumping straight into a job straight away.

I wouldn’t mind Leanne Dempster back , she did have her faults but do believe 💯 she did have the well’s best intentions

My take on things I equally hate both sides with a passion , any proper Well fan does not have a leaning towards either team

I went to what the Celtic fans would call a h*n school .  In their eyes it must make me one also .  I think it all depends on the circumstances

Basically I am surrounded by personally a lot more Rangers fans and listening to their gloating , especially in 2021 winning what they call their 55th title felt almost unbearable , along with their 2012 liquidation nonsense

I know for a fact if roles were reversed I would be thinking exactly the same .  Know a few Well fans from Celtic supporting families who are always accused of being a h*n despite whatever happens

Also for the record the Green Brigade are a shower of bigots, and better off when they were banned, and Celtic’s paranoia definetly edges their bluenose friends across the city

In other news 2-1 Bradford now ,  the Graham Alexander effect , doing well

    2-2 now . Sounds a good game

    2-4 now

The Graham Alexander effect indeed 🙈

  9. Robbo certainly won’t be doing us any favours next week and quite rightly so

Had to win against Dundee , today and now next week or I think we could see a new face in the dugout against the Buns on 24th , and a replacement during the winter shutdown

Probably end up with a Richard Foster or David Clarkson  though and no disrespect to either .  It’s the appointment we would make though if we sack Stuart Kettlewell no doubt

So we did, a last minute winner for Raith I’m sure.

That was back in the days where we didn’t have the same fear that we do now when playing either of the OF and used to get at least one win against one or both of them a season.

We did , we were quite poor in 96/97 and this game , and then the 2-0 win at Ibrox felt like lottery wins at the time

Owen Coyle done well for us in the second half of the season , a grafter and reliable

27 years to the day since we beat Celtic with Jamie Dolan in goal. No matter how long it’s been that day will live long in the memory. I’d actually forgotten that that was one of his last appearances for Motherwell as he moved to Dundee Utd in a swap deal for Owen Coyle the month after.

Also sadly no longer with us.

Another taken far too young ,  always remember this game .  Jamie was brilliant for us

I was absolutely buzzing when that last minute goal winner went in , then in true rollercoaster style we lost to Raith Rovers in a midweek game a few days later
