  1. I think that’s extremely unfair and shows a real lack of understanding. I really can’t see how refusing to invest in the well society is helping the club ?
  2. All good news on top of getting close to record season ticket sales.
  3. Pretty much sums up the challenges any Motherwell manager faces when recruiting new players.
  4. Having seen him it’s too early in my view, even for the bench.
  5. Morton would be another example, we were far to big and strong for them and took control right from the start.
  6. Quite funny having a quick look on the county forum. One poster can’t see a single Motherwell players that would be in their team. How are they not 20 points clear ? They must have an amazing Championship squad.
  7. Maybe the first indication that strengthening 12/18 actually does make sense ?
  8. At the moment it’s difficult to see a place for him, I actually don’t like him in midfield full stop, he’s a half decent centre half though alongside the right individual. I’ve gone on quite a bit about Gorrin having something about him and still think we should not be giving up on him simply because he can be a bloody good passer of a ball and as you say he’s also pretty composed. He may not have a future with us but he’s certainly not a complete dud.
  9. They did get away with a lot for sure, Main however is a master of the dark arts.
  10. Honestly i’m still buzzing from the result and afternoon, made my weekend.
  11. Can we not just enjoy the win before Yoda comes on to tell us all how terrible everything is and ask if Robinson has been sacked yet.
  12. Johnson for me, give him a run in the team and he will score goals.
  13. Honestly given how they struggled against the young guys we should have no problems, they ain’t that great.
  14. Excellent overall performance against an Aberdeen team who were never at the races. We started on the front foot and never really looked in trouble the whole game. I would say no real stand out performance and rather everyone looking solid although Johnson gets man of the match for the two goals. We certainly look better without McHugh in midfield and he needs a spell on the sidelines for me. Johnson also needs a run in the team as he’s the one natural goalscorer we have at the club. Having seen Gillespie a couple of times now he’s an excellent back up keeper who is capable of nailing down the number one spot in my view. Nice to see Mbulu coming in and for all the stick Robinson gets young players are getting their chance. So that’s now three wins out of the last four, not too shabby. It’s also worth remembering that for all the talk of the defence being a liability we have kept a clean sheet in three of those four games.
  15. I think you could see his attitude was not right when he first joined us. Certainly a level of skill but when he did get his chance he just drifted out of games far too often. He’s certainly improved on the whole but he’s never an English Premier league level player and never will be.
  16. I’m confident he will sign, plenty of time to move on in a year or two.
  17. I expect a reaction and a close game won by the odd goal. Narrow victory for Aberdeen.
  18. Pretty much the exception than the rule though and that’s at championship level.
  19. Fully agree, very proud of them today. I’ve no idea how the ref saw the incident that saw our player sent off, he seemed to take the word of the County players which was crazy. They were a niggly bunch for sure but probably just had a bit too much in the end. Well done guys.
  20. That would be my worry in a nutshell, we could well go from a fairly steady ship that while pretty dour to watch is getting enough points against the teams around us to one as you say in a tailspin. There is no doubt a new manager is going to want to change things and bring in his own players, January is certainly not the easiest time to do that. If it’s going to happen give the new guy the full summer and the budget.
  21. And that I would agree with on the whole, mistakes on all sides.
  22. I just leave the conspiracy theories to the old firm, they tend to be obsessed with the world being against them and a percentage of what comes out from their club and fans is embarrassing and at times laughable if you listen to super scoreboard for an hour or so. Do I think they get the majority of decisions, without a doubt yes. Does it happen in favour of other big clubs around the world, yep. Don’t see that ever changing, human nature, they were saying the same thing right back to the 1970’s and the number of pens Liverpool got in front of the cop. As always my opinion is if we show enough quality the results will deal with themselves. We lost on Saturday because we were sh*te.
  23. Exactly, and if we do that we will be fine regardless of who the ref is.
  24. I’m still in the stick with him camp at this point. While we continue to beat those around us we won’t go down and I firmly believe there are three other clubs worse than us. Ok not the most ambitious of lines but we can still look again in the summer which gives a new manager the chance to sign his own players if that’s the route the board go down. Of course if there are others that think we will be relegated under Robinson this season it looks different.
