  1. I would imagine a few people would be pretty happy if it happened.
  2. Am I the only one quite excited by the early transfer dealings ?
  3. Yep, surely not a chance if Hibs are interested, can’t see it myself.
  4. He’s certainly got “skills” and he’s quick, not exactly a finisher though, I can see some pretty wayward balls into the box at times.
  5. Great news, a real step up in quality by the look of it.
  6. Wow, that sounds like a hell of a good deal.
  7. He was a player that could genuinely excite you in a split second, we have no one now even close to being able to do that. However as you say he just then disappeared for long spells. So frustrating because the guy has “skills” and is a real “baller”.
  8. Frankly it’s about his level, he was very ordinary for Thistle.
  9. It will be a lot safer sitting behind the goal for the pre match kick about. A lot less broken seats, head injuries and flying pies.
  10. I think it’s fair to say Scottish football is seen as a bit of a joke down south by many and yes it’s certainly not great. Personally I would put it at maybe league one level overall with Celtic and Rangers maybe championship level simply because they can attract better players. It really is summed up by the fact we can’t compete with the wages offered by a league two team. But to be fair we have maybe 3500 home fans which is really around the same as the average league one/two team down south. I mentioned Turnbull would be mad not to go down south simply because he has all the attributes to develop quicker and better moving down there, and that’s not even taking wages into account. I can’t really see anything changing.
  11. I don’t see any reason why he would make an appearance at Accies if it was not a done deal so good news if it’s sorted.
  12. I moved up from Yorkshire many years ago, my wife is Glaswegian. Was a season ticket holder at York City for 20 years. I’ve always watched a lot of football up here and still do. Started supporting a guy with learning Dissabilities through work around 7 years ago and we had season tickets at Rangers, his dad had always taken him before he passed away. We both got tired of sitting next to middle aged men screaming bigoted abuse so moved on to season tickets at a Thistle, Accies along with watching every other team we could. As soon as we started watching football at Motherwell we knew it was a special club and the one for us. As part of the disabled supporters association we have met some wonderful people along with staff and other supporters around us. We just love the club and have both said we would never support any other team.
  13. Many thanks guys, I will see what I can find.
  14. As a recent convert to the club ( season ticket last 3 years) is he as good as a few are stating ? How does he compare to a Moult, style of play, strength, weaknesses ? Dead ball specialist ?
  15. The first 5 games are all winnable but if course it’s never that easy. I’m not convinced we will need 15 points though. With their inferior goal difference St Mirren and Dundee would need to gain 25/27 points if we made 15. That’s Dundee winning 9 games or gaining a high mix of wins and draws, never going to happen.
  16. There looked to be more Motherwell fans at the game than Accies, their support is just dwindling away, terrible given that was a derby game.
  17. I’m confident we can have a far better second half of the season. The break has come just at the right time giving us the chance to get players back. Robinson seems to have recognised he needs to shift the balance from quantity slightly more over to quality and has stated we need strengthening up front and out wide. If we manage to add two or three quality additions we should have more than enough to see results improve.
  18. How many of those down to a lack of pace and how many individual mistakes being my point. Last two home defeats had nothing to do with lack of pace as a starter, I could go on and give a good few further examples. Defence has not being a massive problem, scoring goals has.
