  1. Yes the football has never been that great in truth, will the board pull the trigger and go for someone like Ross ? I have my doubts but I guess it depends on the pressure from the fanbase.
  2. A terribly result, 12 months as the most successful manager outside of the old firm and an extended contract, everything looking rosy. For the life of me I can’t understand why the wheels have come off in such a spectacular way, we look to have gone from cruising along quite nicely to the worst team in the league, constant chopping and changing, terrible football, with no real change in sight. How can losing one player in Watt make such a difference. I don’t like management changes and think he should see the season out and be given a chance to turn it around but I’m guessing I’m pretty much on my own a little like Robinson.
  3. We really need to be looking at 3 points in these games, we need to start winning games again sooner than later and I can’t see a better opportunity than this.
  4. I’ve no idea who will start in truth, it’s anyones guess.
  5. There is certainly inconsistency but there always is regardless of the league. They point it out all the time down south comparing a tackle in one game against one in another. While we have refs that are human beings it’s always going to happen. I’m personally open to all views, not one to get into abusing other supporters just because our views differ, never see the point of it in truth. There is certainly a level of conspiracy theories regarding the old firm I tend not to get involved in, again I don’t really see the point as I don’t really agree with it. I’ve seen as many strange decisions go against both of them in games as I have any other teams. If you try and point it out you pretty much get shot down, I’m not sure having a balanced view is acceptable when it’s Rangers or Celtic.
  6. Different game, different ref, happens all the time. You can only judge what happened in our game, anything else is irrelevant.
  7. Problem is decisions are not made looking at a tackle in slow motion, looking back in slo mo is actually pointless.
  8. Not going to get into abuse, it’s just my opinion at the end of the day and it’s pretty much 50/50 with a lot of supporters. Mugabi and Roberts went in strong very early and I think that was a mistake especially when you know who the ref is. Yes the ref should not make a difference but we all know Collum has history of making these decisions and he’s not going anywhere. Watching the game back last night both pundits thought it a nailed on red and var would not have overturned it as it would not be seen as a blatent mistake. It is what it is now but we shot ourselves in the foot and threw the game away within the first minute and that’s what annoyed me yesterday, not Collum.
  9. I think Alexander himself stated it was a 3-4-3 but you could easily think of it as a 5-2-3. Either way we have a squad with plenty of natural midfielders and he starts with Donnelly who is way off form and a young inexperienced player, in midfield, in a Scottish cup quarter final.
  10. The line up was frankly ridiculous, I always try and defend our manager but given we were playing a struggling team I’ve no idea why he picked that starting 11 and that formation. A 3-4-3 with with McGinley and Mugabi out wide and two midfielders, sorry it makes absolutely no sense to me.
  11. It’s a nailed on red for me, other way round the East stand would have been demanding it. He made contact with the player, you just can’t go flying in like that, make contact, and expect to get away with it.
  12. Not a fan of the line up to start with, Mugabi then goes in with a very rash challenge which while it might divide opinion was stupid, yes he was stretching but he did catch Doig who had to go off. Roberts then gives him another decision to make within 5 minutes. The defending has been dreadful all first half, McGinely and Ojala both to blame for the goals and they could well have had more. I’m probably as sick as I’ve been for a good while given the standard of the opposition, they can’t buy a goal but could easily have had four in the first half and that’s down to the manager and players, not the ref.
  13. Na, we’ve done it to ourselves, it’s too easy to just blame Callum. Rash challenge that gave him a decision to make then terrible defending.
  14. And now some terrible defending by McGinley. We’re playing a pretty dreadful team here and we’re making a complete mess of it.
  15. Honestly I could not give a toss about whether it would have happened in an old firm game. I’m more interested in this game and us using our heads.
  16. It’s a straight leg with one minute gone, why would you do that and give Collum a decision to make given he’s a terrible ref and we don’t have VAR ? And Roberts could have just joined him.
  17. Harsh but Mugabi has just cost us a semi final spot. Stupid stupid boy putting in a challenge like that after one f#####g minute.
  18. I’m not a fan of this constant hopping and changing. Let’s see how it goes.
  19. I can pretty much guarantee if we are challenging for the title attendances would increase. By how much is open to debate but they would increase.
  20. I think though it would be more attractive to those supporters of other top flight clubs. We regularly get some of the lowest home supporter attendances against the old firm and it’s not just us. I think any club that had a realistic chance of winning the league would actually see overall attendance increases. While I understand the drop in income I think it would actually be more attractive to those that matter.
  21. It’s not competitive at all, it’s two teams miles better than everyone else. But the papers are obsessed with the old firm regardless and can’t see how damaging they are to Scottish football.
  22. Exactly, some give out dogs abuse then get all offended when a player gives a bit back. I’ve got no problem with it.
  23. The difference has been Watt. We’ve had a run of games where we would have picked up points if he’d been playing, I’ve no doubt about that. But the standard off football this season from just about everyone has been awful with the best game been the opener against a Hibs who also look as bad as us these days, how Aberdeen can be so poor with their budget is also baffling.
  24. The consistency needs to be in the full 11, one area effects another. GA has lost his way a little and he’s desperately looking for an answer which he won’t find by chopping and changing every game. We should have pushed the boat out slightly for a Watt replacement, that alone would have made a big difference. Other than that I still believe the players are better than they are looking just now, including those midfielders. Confidence has dropped, they’re getting abuse from the stands, and there is no consistency in the starting 11. I don’t believe Alexander will be sacked and there is no reason he should be but he needs to sit down and have a think about how he wants us to move forward. Difficulty next couple of games for our manager but that’s the job at times. Ross county supporters hit it lucky with their change of manager, every other change this season has been a failure and we have to hope Alexander can turn it around otherwise it’s going to cost the club a substantial amount of money to get rid of him with a real fear the next guy will yet again be no better.
  25. I guess the answer there is don’t give our own players dogs abuse. Can anyone name a single time that supporters abusing their own players has actually improved things ? All that happens is they go into hiding or down tools. GA needs to pick a starting 11 and baring injuries stick with it, the constant chopping and changing never bring success.
