  1. He’s come on leaps and bounds under Alexander. Another who doubted him but he’s proven me wrong.
  2. You’ve clearly forgotten the bombscare performances under him last time, he totally lost the plot. Robinson pulled us out of trouble.
  3. Personally I’m not a fan, takes all the momentum out of our game, but it’s being effective so I guess that’s all that matters.
  4. I can see Aberdeen being a lot better so it’s important not to take them too lightly. For all the poor season they’ve had they still have a strong squad and I’m expecting a back last after Glass getting the boot.
  5. I’m happy to carry on watching him going backwards by the game.
  6. I think it still puts a lot of people off, they don’t want to go early and queue at the ticket office, they want to turn up later and go straight through a turnstile. Might be wrong but in my experience many floaters make last minute decisions on whether to go or not. Personally I would rather they went back to pay at the turnstile because I think it’s costing us.
  7. I would imagine the club will need to step in again, I love the atmosphere they create but they were a compleat embarrassment today, even more embarrassing are some of the middle aged guys in amongst them. They need one or two in there to keep them in check because most of them are just kids that probably have parents that are just as bad. Some decent role models would not go amiss.
  8. One of our best performances this season. In was impressed with all the front three, Efford looks a good signing and reminds me a bit of Marvin Johnson. O Hara made a big difference and that’s the best Donnelly has been for some time. Aberdeen really are an awful team though, if that had been our defending our players would have taken dogs abuse. I am however not a fan of Alexander’s tactic of taking off offensive players and sitting back deep, Aberdeen are crap and all we did but put extra pressure on ourselves with Kelly getting him out of jail, for gods sake just keep the same shape.
  9. We’ve played pretty well that first half and deserve the lead. Plenty of effort from everyone and we could have had at least another one. The new guy brings something to the party which is also a plus.
  10. Great goal from Van Veen, I take it Gallagher had been giving him some verbals.
  11. Ojala is not fit enough to be playing, he needs to come off before it gets worse. It could be over by half time at this rate.
  12. Anyone got the stream started, watching at home today and getting nothing
  13. I don’t have a problem with OHara getting a shot given midfield has been poor, Donnelly is lucky to retain his place for me. Other than that I’m pretty happy with the line up.
  14. It’s interesting just how low an opinion you have of Slattery. Pretty much the opposite of everyone else. Before his injury/covid I thought he was one of our most important players, Goss certainly improved game on game before this mini slump. You seem to have a better opinion on McGuire who I think is totally overrated.
  15. Yep, if it was only us with a team full of poor quality players fair enough but it’s not, it’s everyone. Even the bigger teams such as Hibs and Aberdeen have squads full of shite. The investment in top flight Scottish football is at a lower level than none league football down south so of course we don’t attract quality players. Playing attractive, winning football years ago is irrelevant to where we are now. It’s not about the managers, it’s a way bigger problem than that and simply changing managers again is not going to change that.
  16. Which club in the league outside the big city clubs is playing attractive, winning football ? You should be looking at the state of top flight Scottish football, that’s where the real problems lie.
  17. And Killy are now a championship team with St Johnstone to follow, they have both played dire football for years. Those management changes at their clubs we’re not exactly a success. It’s not that easy.
  18. Alexander needs to up his game, for some reason he can’t seem to decide on his best 11 and he’s playing strange formations that just don’t work, the forward line last night looked like a disaster from the start. But we should still not forget that in a 12 month period he was the most successful manager outside of the old firm and that’s with a club with a core support of 4000. Paying off a management team that’s just signed a new long term contract is going to be expensive and we have a core of players on long term contracts that are going nowhere. Other managers are out of work for a reason, it’s never as simple as just bringing in a sure fire success and at Motherwell what is success, for some being 4th in the league and reaching 2 cup finals in a season is not good enough. We’re on a bad run and that’s down to Alexander and it was quite obvious in his post match interview he’s fully aware he’s now under pressure and it’s what he does next starting on Saturday that matters.
  19. You know my views on sacking manager after manager, it rarely brings success. Do you feel we’re in a better place than we were under Robinson ? We now have a good few players on long contracts, any new manager will have his hands ties because of that and certainy won’t have money to spend.
  20. I don’t see it in truth, I think we’re looking at a decline in the guy that’s not going to go the other way. A car crash of an individual.
