Bowman was obviously at his best alongside Moult, great in that period and a very hard worker, less so when Moult left. Would I have him back ? Sadly I probably would although any striker is going to suffer with a none existing midfield and that’s what we have just now. Even Campbell was twice the player he is now when Bowman was about, what I would give for another Gorrin, a class above anything we have at the moment.
-
You look at that thought and it’s a frightening first eleven, six of those players should be nowhere near the first team. Sadly I would include Maguire in that who I still believe is a natural centre half not quite up to Premiership football moved to a midfielder not quite up to Premiership level, putting him alongside Crawford makes it even worse and behind them a back three of Magloiore, Lamie, and McGinley, oh brother that’s a bombscare.
-
I would have fancied our chances with a full squad, with what we have available now I can’t see anything other than another heavy defeat regardless of formation. We simply don’t have enough of our important first team players available.
-
Regarding the appointment of Alexander it was a far bigger risk than choosing Wright for obvious reasons but one that maybe created a little more excitement. My choice would have been Wright given his experience and the fact we needed someone to hit the ground running but I also understand people were put off by his dour reputation. He’s obviously still not won a game yet at Killy but I do wonder if the board could make the same decision again if they would make the same one.

I’ve never seen a single individual on here describe Gallagher or O’Donnell as “superstars”. It is a fact however that they are both international defenders.
-
Anyone back including O’Donnell would be a plus at this stage, with what we have it’s going to be very difficult to pick up anything.
-
Where he will probably look a good player, if we were to go down he will probably sign for us.
-
Dunn was starting games before his injury and in my view would have played alongside Gallagher this season if fit, however as you rightly say he has been out for a long time. Donnelly has been a huge miss, more than many probably realise. Regarding the transfer window signings it would be good to know who pulled the trigger, probably a mix of those of interest to Robinson and Alexander.
-
Not really though is it. You can’t force players to sign new contracts, not one player who would start is a loan player, you can also include Lawless in that. You’re simply choosing to ignore the fact that just about all our first choice starting 11 are under contract ( not short term deals or loans).
-
Not one of the players I mentioned is a loan or on short term deal.
-
Sorry but that’s just nonsense other than the fact they have a settled squad. They have hardly picked up any more points than we have and don’t have a crippling injury list, how on earth does that make them so much better ? We had Campbell, Dunn, OHara, Gallagher, Carson, O’Donnell, Donnelly all out today and in my view they would all have been playing if fit. That’s 7 out of the starting 11 and all our midfield and 1 out of the back four and goalkeeper. There is no way St Johnstone would have been any better if they lost that many crucial players.
-
Until we get players back and fit nothing is going to change, it’s going to be a struggle to stay out of the bottom two with what we have just now. I think with that starting 11 we will struggle to win a single game.
-
Pretty much it, I’m pretty sure they don’t have 18 players out, turn it around and they would be in just as much trouble as us. It’s easy for people to just throw one line after another of abuse but even before kick off it was obvious we were in big trouble.
-
The spine needed strengthening in the last transfer window and it never happened. On top of that the injury list is crazy which obviously has another huge impact. With the first 11 and two or three decent signings we would have been absolutely fine despite what a few think, but what we have is the perfect storm of new signings that are also injured or not fit enough and just about all our key players out.
-
Only so long you can use that line.
-
I guess that’s also going to be Robinson fault.
-
Well it’s been bad but I make one and maybe two players outside the forwards that would have started if we had been injury free. 17/18 players unavailable surely has to be close to a club record. This is pretty much a reserve team.
-
Going to be very tough with the massive injury list, I fear a defeat.
-
We must have had more injuries this season than anyone else in the league, just crazy.
-
I’d be going to the papers with that, that’s a hell of a scoop.
-
It’s just speculation, nothing more, nothing less, time will tell.
-
Supporters make things up, always been that way and always will, suddenly opinions and speculation become facts.
-
I’m not a huge conspiracy theorist in general so personally I think he’s just genuinely injured.
-
Sign of the season that out of those Gallagher, O’Donnell, Mugabi, Dunn, Grimshaw, Nolan, McGinley, Donnelly, Foley all appear to be suspended/not fit/injured, you can also add Carson and Fox to that list. OHara actually looked solid when he played there.
-
I would settle for a draw and a better performance just to get us back on track. Even at this stage Alexander is starting to get some stick on social media and another heavy defeat will only see that amplified. We could do with a bit more information on what’s happening to all the signings made in the transfer window, as posted by others i’m slightly baffled why we signed players that don’t appear to be fit enough to play when we needed players able to hit the ground running. The injury list continues to be a worry at a crucial time.
