Welsh is on transfermarket as 800k. That seems a bit rich for us. Maybe we need to speculate to accumulate but it’s been noticeable that our centre backs recently haven’t been centre backs. Maybe it shows we are controlling games and want players to step out from the back and play into midfield but against the ugliest and tarts we might need to reconsider. I think Thor coming in allows a plan B to teams low block so happy so far. Would like a left back though and a centre back. Can’t see us buying anyone though and think loan options will be utilised

I like the announcement. Our first signing of January suggests more to come. The chat about the analytics also fills me with hope. They have seen something in this guy so hopefully he will hit the ground running. I take it it will be a few weeks till we see him anyway as the Swedish season finished months ago. Anyone know if he had been doing a pre-season with a team?

Last 5 games he scored 8. Stats for the season seem to be played 29 scored 15. Suggests maybe he is a player whose role is to hold the ball up the field and allow midfield runners like Said Just and TM to run beyond. Dont know much about the level he was playing at but the addition of players is always to be welcomed. Hopefully they can get it over the line if it helps JBA and the master plan.

Issue then is will we keep the manager and players like Just. If not the manager then who is the next one and will they be as successful. I hear Aberdeen are in for Welsh. Celtic can seemingly do a deal up to the 14th.

This is just brilliant. Kudos to the players coaching staff and JBA. We need to appreciate this and sign all the players to long term contracts. If we can get in a reliable striker then Ooft. Praise to the board to for doing their diligence and getting in JBA. I have a feeling we will need to be doing it in the summer again. Over the moon. Glad we beat St Mirren next Saturday now is crucial. A win against hibs gives us some breathing room in 4th and keeps the pressure on for us to climb the table even more. Would qualification for Europe keep JBA with us?

Then build again in the summer. Sign assets onto long term contracts. The ugly sisters and hearts are going to spend big money to outdo each other for the title. Think they said that with the LM money it was going to be a long term project.

Think this hurts so much cause of the progress we have made and certainly at the moment Celtic seem to be flat. Maybe it was our best chance to get something for a good while It’s really early in our new system and with the injury to folk like Just Sule Slattery we are maybe a bit light in the depth department. That to me though is the managers job development these players and bring up the quality overall. It’s only game 7 in the league. If we continue with these types of performances I think we will do well.

Jens online saying any lennon money will be spent in relation to long term goals and some of it on a player to fill the void. I wonder if this means that there might not be the money spent on two or three positions and it will be more restricted. am hoping v st Johnstone that we can get a bit of a confidence boost and get 3-0. Think that would set us up for the hearts game.

If Gordon is out then we seem devoid of a replacement. Sod to cover again? we also look a side that’s of a short stature so am expecting lots of route one and danger from set pieces. With LM about to leave who is the next player from the youth to make their mark? Am not counting Wilson as he is first team. Whyte? Ross? appreciate early days but do you see Askou developing any of these young players? We seem to have a number of players contracts ending in 2026. If we can develop our youth then this may help us both on the park and in the financial health of the club. One thing that did strike me was that he wasn’t around for long at his previous clubs to develop players. I am however impressed with the way he speaks to the media and in his latest clip talking about getting better being a constant goal.

I like the timing of this game and will no doubt be a tougher challenge than what we have faced up to now. Week out from the start of the season building towards rangers game.

Get what you mean with his dad adding to the speculation but if it gets us a few hundred thousand more by ramping up interest in him then the better for us and no doubt lennon too. Hope he goes abroad, as I think he will develop more and be a future mainstay of the Scotland team. Just hope he doesn’t put teams off like Sanders dad did in the NFL.

Would any of the released rangers youth do us a turn? Devine was being bigged up by the media a wee while ago not that familiar with the other youth released.

We have the first pre season game in just over 3 weeks. Does still having Ahmet there impede the search for a new manager or are we holding him to his contract on the basis that we might be able to get a fee for him to join Wimmer? I thought he had a good relationship with the players and would help any transition but money talks.

Killie fan saying we have a closed door game tonight with them at rugby park. Anyone heard anything? Rebuild continues? Maybe a chance to look at some of the squad players?
