Hastie linked with Milwall today and one story linking with Celtic and going back to Well on loan. That would be dissapointing. Any real news on new deal?
-
Anyone know whats happening with Hastie contract yet? Seems to have gone quiet. Usual tabloid speculation.

Hope your right mate. I know top 6 means more money but 2 more games against the ugly sisters and the racism/sectarianism from some sections of thier support is not very appealing. -
That is true. Just want him signed and to get to see what this team can do.

As well fans were used to loosing talent as soon as its shown on pitch. Becomes demoralising after a while. Least do all we can. Other clubs speculate to accumulate. I think we missed out on Hastie and should have signed him up while on loan. Suppose we hoping he feels something for club and proper development chance.

Mixed feelings about Hastie. Hes out of contract. If he plays amazing againat Celtic in game that doesnt mean much to us. We would have lesser chance of keeping him. Weeks past and still no news of contract. -
Yes Robinsons on record as saying we made best offer we can. Why make that public? No news yet he mentioned wanting to stay. I urge well society board to make another offer, push boat out. Great if he even had one season with Turnbull. If he scores winner against Celtic , he could gave even bigger clubs than Hull after him. Keep him and have a real go at winning a cup.

Get him signd. Dont mind paying extra to well society to get deal done. Could be a legend. -
From a Motherwell fc point of view . Well every time a promising player is lost, dedpite knowing his huge potential. Its inevitable we cant keep them as time elapses. Soul destroying. Cant build on our own youth players and we will not win anything. Injuries happen at any time. Do see that player may earn more and to move may be the more adtute decision but what I am annoyed at us that Hastie was not given longer contract earlier. He has been tried against top players in training every day. Also loan spells proved he was more than adept at young age. Sign up mr Hastie!

Anyone else think the famous save from pele header was savable ? As it was from far out and he had good sight of it? Just as it was Pele. It dont make it unsavable.Do see he was out if position initiallly. I do admire Bsnks and his achievements.
-
Best of luck to Hastie whatever he does. I for one would love to see him sign and become a well legend! I do however think its soul destroying when loosing top talent and having to try to replace our own with lesser players. Cant see us winning another cup anytime soon. We need to sign up our best young players earlier. Scouts knew he was quality. Please sign Jake!

There was a few years back we would have taken Erskine. Lawles and Osman but not now. Thats tangible improvement. -
As i say again. He is young. He has qualities as leader , as has dropped players and also is personable. Inspires players to buy into his vision. He has and will make mistakes. I wouldnt swap robbo for any of other spl coaches.

Appreciate your comment ya Bezzer. Ive probably not been to as many games as you have. As i work 2 saturdays per month and ones I did see early on were turgid affairs. I do think Robbo has sonething. No manager has all tbe answers and its frustrating when we see fault and he dont. However , he is more open to change than mccall and mcgoo. And I for 1 is excited about what this team can do.

Just want to update this post. Hes doin fine! Very articulate man in media. Saved us from relegation when just in job. Got us to 2 cup finals. Beating gers along the way. Blooding youngsters at right time. Now we can see progress. Difficult period but he has vision. Support the man!

You happy now? Robbo was building. Its taking shape.

True. The people that spoke 4 games back seem to panic and dont envisage the longer game view. Also forgetting prior success. I dont disagree that we have been poor regularly prior to this but positive signs there and also managed progress with injuries to key players. Robinson is a young manager and is growing in vision with the squad. He also can change system when needed.
