  1. White works hard but hasn't offered much . Spends most of the games giving away free kicks.
  2. from the reported 4 candidates Alexander would be my choice. He's got a decent success rate of +40% win rate and has worked with similar standard of players.
  3. the new signings become very unlikely until a manager is appointed
  4. bringing through our own youngsters should be our go to position and we started that a few years back. What a great advert for youngsters to join us when they see the likes of Turnbull, Campbell, Hastie mk 1, Cadden ,Scott all come through. We've lost the momentum on the youngsters but it should always be at the heart of what we do. Shored up with some decent pro's (either perm or loans) from wherever we can find them (which could include European players not just UK
  5. I've got some level of optimism that wingbacks will work for us if we beef up the midfield . thought Maguire made a difference when he came on. Lots of games are lost through midfield as we rely on O'Hara and Campbell. Id like to see us moving to 4 at the back with Carrol and Odonnell as wingbacks. Have Maguire/Campbell/OHara/Polworth in midfield . Once Donnelly is fit he can slot in.
  6. I really liked Ainsworth but only when he could be bothered. His highlight reel shows why. I equally remember him at FP and he'd regularly do zero for the first half and only come to life in the second half when he was close the east stand - it seemed he was powered by people cheering him. Can't imagine what he'd be like without fans in the stadium.
  7. agree - Polworths distribution is awful at the moment. Carrol started poorly but improved as the game went on. Thought Carrol/ODonnell both among our better players yesterday together with Watt.
  8. O'Hara has been one of our most solid players but would rather have him in midfield and bring in a decent centre half. Create midfielders / wingers/ strikers - yes please. A great time to bring in loan signings as the lack of reserve football means there's some cracking young prospects in the premiership who we could bring in.
  9. McCall is very similar to Robinson. Over a 4 year period had a great win rate (+40%) but his final season was dreadful and ran out of ideas. Did the same with Bradford, 3 times over. A wide berth should be given
  10. It should be 1 game ban 1 game for denying an opponent an obvious goal scoring opportunity 2 games for serious foul play/violent conduct
  11. I don't get a sense that these players don't wan't to be here. Cole isn't good enough but puts in a shift (I don't know why we brought him back tbh) Polworth isn't playing well but that doesn't mean he doesn't care. Gallagher and O'Donnell are both putting in a shift. Long, I know has faults but he's been played out of position. A natural centre forward who we played out wide. I hope they all stay and we bring in a few decent signings and a decent gaffer (not one of the Scottish merry go round wasters)
  12. Only keep the number 2 on as manager when things are going well - had Robinson left last December there would have been an argument for Las.
  13. we lost this game when we threw it away in the first 10 mins. Same players cost us stupid goals and no way back. Irrespective of how hard a task lastly has some of these players should never have been given a game
  14. that was a guess by the Sun - eg its likely to take 4 games before we've hired a new mgr
  15. I really hope we push the boat out and pay a pretty penny for a good manager. This is a shambles
  16. sub magabi now - he's a total bombscare
  17. limited options - it was either Mugabi, Lamie or McGinley . The other option is Maguire
  18. I'd play Hastie - I know he's not a fans favourite for many reasons but we need width and he offers that. He and Polworth are the only players likely to offer anything creative in midfield (until we get new signings )
  19. Assuming Las had input into the first team I can't conceive that he's the right person to move us forward. I seem him as a mini Robinson rather than having his own clear vision. He'll need to set us up very differently in formation/personnel to convince many that he's the way forward.
  20. Given the current squad and time of year it would be prudent to bring in a safe pair of hands to see us through until the end of the season. Similar to when we brought in Craig Brown - he knew what he was doing and got the most of the squad. To be clear I'm not stating Brown but someone in that mould .
