  1. No problem mate. That website is the first place I click in advance of any travel, be it leisure or business. SD
  2. Only three months validity required, as per the Foreign & Commonwealth Office travel advice: http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/travel-and-living.../europe/iceland SD
  3. Aye, but Betamax was supposed to be "technically better" than VHS. A bit like some here who rated Fraser above Ruddy, I suppose.....
  4. That's remarkably similar to the view we got in Skopje a few years ago. Pix here: http://www.bebo.com/c/photos/album_detail?...umId=8886238084 SD
  5. Central European Time. BST or GMT +1
  6. Arguably, Hari Kampman wouldn't have joined us had that game not occured. Edit: Thought Simo came from them and just found out he didn't.....numpty
  7. I've got a feeling that clubs from the same associations are kept apart until the quarter/semi finals.
  8. Second point was more regarding awareness. Every year the BBC wheel out John Motson commentating at some old cup upset and, more often than not, the pitch looks a disaster. When we're used to seeing more football on TV (versus in the flesh), maybe our norms shift. It's all opinions on the net and everyone's entitled to their views. SD
  9. Some points/questions for you: Did we have significant and prolonged pitch issues before we shared with Gretna? Could the "issues" with our pitch be associated with the fact that every game is televised now and not every fifth game as per a decade ago? SD
  10. I've been looking at last year's seedings/coefficients: Aberdeen really let the country down losing to that Czech mob. Of the 70 teams in the Steaua round, we were one of only seven teams that started in the first qualifying round. Only one of these seven, Bnei Yehuda of Israel got through that tie. I think this means that despite the complexity, the coefficients do help the larger teams or (teams from 'better' associations) progress. I think I agree with ekwellfan, though I am just happy that we are there. SD
  11. Didn't do Newcastle any harm having a state-run bank on their shirts, Northern Rock, last year......they ended up winning the league.....
  12. Tell all the Dons that you know McGhee's down the docks wi a ho Craigs' in Getafe, wi his mate Archie Cos we're in Europe an your no
  13. Digs ist Jargon für Anpassung
  14. My point was that we should consider the season's achievements as a whole. I would argue that Slane contributed more to our season than Smith whom I also mentioned. You've chosen to comment on Slane- I wonder why? You seem to miss my point. Never mind.
  15. I have to add my congratulations to everyone at Motherwell, including those who contributed throughout the season who are no longer at the club- Gannon, Slane, Smith et al. However, like someone posted elsewhere, I fail to see the anti-United sentiment. Like ourselves, they changed their manager around the turn of the year. They deservedly achieved third in the SPL and they defeated one of the Old Filth to win the cup. However, as I've mentioned elsewhere, we've achieved Europe on merit. SD
  16. It was airmiles that took me to Albania. I recognise that the cost is always an issue, especially when travel is during the traditional European holiday season. The main thing is that we've European football for the third successive season. Moan the 'Well.
  17. Only if it's one of the 'Stans'. Last year the club and Strathclyde Police bottled it regarding travel. Their press statement was pathetic. If it's anywhere west of Georgia, then more than ten will travel. We all know that Albania was far from dangerous now. SD
  18. This Dutch guy Bert is on the ball: http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/seedel2010.html He's already updated after the Cup Final result. SD
  19. We're goin' down the pub. (Sham 69 circa 1978)
  20. They have; one of them almost over the line, another the worst sitter since Gordon "Smith Must Score" for Brighton in an FA Cup Final. SD
  21. Agree. Another factor is that it appears that we have been paying more to repair/maintain the pitch recently than we have paid on transfer fees. When did we last pay a six-figure sum for a player? I truly don't know. SD
  22. Fishal confirms this: http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/index.php?op...&Itemid=133
  23. I'm not certain that a director of Motherwell Football Club could afford a Season Ticket at Ibrox?
