  1. She doesn't appear to be wearing 'Well colours.... However, as we both know, matey, people get the pish ripped out of them on here if they go to away games without wearing the claret and amber. Apparently, "not proper fans" according to some. Note for editors: Deliberate use of smileys.
  2. Not 100% certain, though I doubt it. I think home/away advantages only apply to the latter stages of the Champion's League. Don't believe they ever apply in the Europa League. Wouldn't the advantage be away first if seeded? This, I think the convention for CL and English Play-offs (higher league placing plays away first; both Leicester & Blackpool at home last weekend). SD
  3. 4th Qualifying Round for either team; according to this: http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/seedel2010.html CW Sco 5.158 - 12.158 If DUFC win, because they are 3rd in SPL, Hibs get 3rd Qualifying Round and we get 2nd Qualifying Round. If County win, DUFC and Hibs stay where they are. This Dutch guy Bert certainly knows all the coefficients etc. Worth spending ten minutes on the site if you have time..... SD
  4. We've always known Hearts have always been a bunch of cloggers; however on Aberdeen: Here's what McGhee is reported to have said a year ago: [Fir Park boss Mark McGhee told BBC Scotland: "I'm quite proud because we've made a conscious effort to show discipline on and off the field. "I've tried to contribute overall to the sort of change in attitudes towards bad refereeing decisions by initiating a move with the SPL managers to get off the backs of referees and to not dispute and criticise them. "It's taken the pressure off referees and made it a little bit easier for everyone. "If we do get the place, we'll feel it's deserved."] Next season, his players get 10 red cards. Was this just more wankshite from McGhee at the time? SD
  5. For me, we should also include Jim Gannon. He may have been a bawbag with his 'soft skills'; however, in my opinion, he certainly had an eye for a quality player at our level. Unlike that complete bawbag; McGhee. SD
  6. I voted for Sutton. His attitude and all-round work-rate swung it for me. Special mentions to Ruddy, Juke, Hateley and Jennings, coincidentally all Gannon finds. SD
  7. Agreed, great post and great season all things considered. Might I add that we've two strikers out of 11 who got double-figures in the SPL this season? So, I would add The Juke to Sutton & Jennings. Otherwise an excellent summary. Plus, we've seen the largest scoring games in both the Europa League and SPL. Finally, we got three SPL Manager of the Month awards. We've only ever had one in a season before- Davies/Butcher/Butcher/Butcher/Malpas/McGhee/McGhee and none in a few seasons. As we've seen this week, we're either excellent or gash. That's Motherwell. SD
  8. The BBC are claiming that the hvns won the game: Striker Kris Boyd remained tight-lipped over whether the win over Motherwell was his final appearance for Rangers. From: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ers/8671156.stm Numpties! SD
  9. Cheers mate, for this. Just starting to watch now. Quality piece of music in the intro as well; Ceremony by JD/NO. Might be the version that's on the vodka ad; though quality all the same..... Cheers SD
  10. In fact, there are quite a few classics in that thread: Hibs get to f*ck you lot are a bunch of f*cking **** bags i hate the lot of you. YOGI your a C*NT!! I'd rather start renting my arse for smack money that go back. Honestly. [i think a small typo, though we know what he means] Priceless!
  11. The fact is that we need Dundee United to win either of two games; one at home and one at a neutral venue against a team a league below them. Dundee United are deservedly third in the SPL and I cannot see them not winning one of these two games. Guaranteeing 5th is very important. Goal difference versus Jambos was just 5 at one point. Could have easily seen us ship this at Greyskull on Sunday. Not important now.
  12. First competitive; I think? (Scored against Man United kids). SD
  13. Don't have my contact lenses in. This guy's username really is WankyMcWank? Muppet.
  14. All, some excellent points above (Finlay, Tweed), though don't take the arse if I havenae mentioned you. Noting many of you may vote tomorrow; why is it that:? Scottish people pay the same BBC licence fee as the English & Welsh; yet: All BBC viewers receive MOTD & The Championship Show. Yet; Where is the equivalent product for the SPL? Maybe I take this subject off-topic? As I consumer, it is great that I can roll-in from the pub and catch the above, yet there is little SPL football on free-to-view as far as I see. If; if a tenth of the BBC payment to the EPL and The Championship was given to Scotland, then maybe our game would stand a chance. If not; it never will. As someone of Scottish descent, voting in an English constituency, I cannot help on Thursday. BBC=EBC Use your vote wisely. SD
  15. First point, whilst valid, is a bit of a technicality. He dropped down a division to join the big-spending, pre-season favorites and was part of the squad that failed miserably in the aim of achieving promotion. Cannot really comment on the others as I'm not watching Dundee regularly. Griffiths does get a good reputation; his name doesn't appear amongst the 16 listed today. I really hope you are being relevant. SD
  16. Generally, I don't like to see players returning to a club. At least Hammell and Lasley left to try a new country and many saw Southend and Plymouth as a step up at the time. Klimpl left for Dundee, FFS. And failed to help them get promoted. Folk should have a think about this. As others have mentioned, Klimpl did do a job for us at the time, although he wasn't particularly mobile and he, like Fat Boab, was prone to rash challenges. I wouldn't take him back, even if his wage demands were at Under 19 level. SD
  17. I would resist writing things like that in case decorator spots it. Apparently he went to a game in Albania with just nine others..... SD
  18. All, I've two views about this; revenue and football. Revenue: agree with everything posted earlier regarding 18 home games and 20 away over a season. And I think at a minimum the Club should point out to the SPL that season-ticket holders have lost out by over 5% (1/19 x 100) because of this. Independent of whether the Old Filth are visiting or not; at the start of the season, there was an expectation of a certain number of home games that now will not be realised. 5%, though is a significant figure as it has been a long time since we have seen inflation at this level in the UK. I am sure that Leeann can make this point more articulately than I can. Football, though, let's look at the facts: The pitch has been in a mess for a while. Our style of football is better suited to playing on good surfaces than not. Hibs are in free-fall. Celtic are shocking. Rangers ought to be playing their youngsters on the last day of the season. We have beaten Hearts twice at home and narrowly lost away in the first game after Gannon left. We shouldn't fear going to Tynie. This leaves Dundee United. Under Levein, they were cloggers and could do the same next weekend, especially on a poor pitch. I've not seen them under Houston, though their league position doesn't lie. Despite the injustice, I do believe that we can achieve fourth as long as we don't lose to the Arabs next weekend; however bizarre the time. Just my 5p. SD
  19. Just received a text that says that fixtures will be published in the next hour. I presume on the SPL website: http://www.scotprem.com/content/ SD
  20. Shurley shome mishtake? "In a porno"? "In every porno" Unlesh ah've mished somenthin.....
  21. Absolutely no problem, Mr MFC. As I mentioned, it's all to do with opinions. I guess we've taken this thread a bit OT? Fraser is still with us, whilst it is the young Pole who has moved on.....unless I've missed something? SD
  22. Sentence 1: Personally, I don't follow the English game that much. I actually don't comment on games where I have only viewed on the TV and I don't vote on Andy P's polls unless I've actually been to the game. It appears that Man United didn't keep a clean sheet in the game you refer to. Don't know the reason; nor want to. Sentence 2: Your opinion. Sentence 3: I never suggested he was. Do you want me to create a poll: "Do you think that M Fraser is/could be a decent SPL keeper? It is easily done.
  23. All about opinions, mate. I think I have seen Fraser in all his competitive games this season; the first four Europa League ones and Accies away, and I do not agree at all. With the exception of Flamurtari home, in my opinion, he has looked very, very nervous- think more nervous than the blonde woman on Vicar of Dibley.....I know a shite analogy, though I'm sure people will understand what I mean. In no way, would I say he has "done fuck all wrong". If he had "done fuck all wrong" in the Accies match, he would have retained his place next game. Simples. Why play a loan player when a full-time player is just as good? Just my opinion. SD
  24. According to the BBC, Reynolds was captain yesterday; paragraph 6: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/s...rem/8563564.stm [No sign of an armband in the picture, though] Reynolds is certainly having a great season. He's started every competitive game, played in several positions and has yet to be booked. Quite an achievement for a centre-half (most of the time) in the SPL. Brown is correct in stating that he deserves to be playing at a higher level and that it would be unfair of Motherwell to deny him that should it materialise. I will be amazed if he doesn't make the next Scotland squad, if fit. SD

    Hearts

I thought that all the outfield players with the exception of Hateley and the Duke played very well yesterday. My vote, though goes to John Sutton. He took his goal very well and his tracking back, particularly on our left side, was superb. SD
