  1. I can’t stand Accies but I do enjoy the derby, though the way we regularly underperform in it is infuriating. I’d be happy enough for them to stay in the top flight if we started putting them in place more often. It’ll be good to have Hearts back in the league next season at the expense of Killie or Ross County. When fans are allowed in Tynecastle is one of the best away days.
  2. Scott McDonald was always a self centred, arrogant wee arsehole. Really good player for us in both spells but always got the impression he was a difficult man to have in your dressing room. Saying that no surprise to read about him and McGhee clashing, he was another self entered clown that we are better off without.
  3. It’ll be a tight one. Kilmarnock are in deep trouble and need to go for it but we seem to have tightened up at the back in recent weeks and found a bit of form. Either 1-1 or 1-0 to us.
  4. That was a nice kit, basically just a reversal of the home kit from that season which was amber with a claret band. I’ve still got that one, always associate it with administration and Faddy with his red stripe and rat tail. That one and the 2000 - 2002 kit were the best of our Xara kits. I take it we’re staying with Macron for next season?
  5. The Motorola mid 90s claret away kit is untouchable as far as Motherwell away strips go. An absolute classic that you instantly associate with an excellent Motherwell team. The 2018/19 effort was nice enough in appearance but our insistence in wearing it in almost every single away match that season even when our home colours didn’t clash with our opponents got right on my tits. It didn’t help that we usually played pish and lost when we wore it.
  6. McInnes is a good manager at Scottish Premiership level and the best that Aberdeen could realistically expect to get. Before he took over they had been a bottom six club for three or four years yet he oversaw a Cup win in his first season and regularly finished 2nd or 3rd in the ensuing years. That clubs arrogance will always be their downfall, as they measure every manager and team against Sir Alex Ferguson’s 1980s sides and believe that they are entitled to success. Hell slap it into them.
  7. Agree about the badge instead of the MFC lettering, that just looks cheap. The other thing that I think is a must for a Motherwell FC home kit is claret shorts. I cannot stand when we (regularly) opt for white shorts. That is the only downside to this seasons otherwise fantastic effort.
  8. We’ll not fully be able to see what GA brings to the job until the summer and he’s been able to build his own team, as he will certainly need to do. I like him and was impressed when we brought him in, though some of the performances were a concern but we appear to have turned a corner the last few weeks. The attitude and application yesterday and last week was night and day to the Accies and St.J games.
  9. I know what you mean. I’d actually describe him as a poor man’s Scott McDonald. Anyway, the result is the main thing and we’ve got that. We should be safe now barring a disaster.
  10. Full time really good result. Well done all.
  11. For all he clearly has ability he’s a player I just cannot take to. His attitude stinks.
  12. Great! Lovely finish too. Now let’s hold it this time ffs!
  13. For long as I can remember, a 2-0 lead has always been something that Motherwell teams just cannot deal with. We almost always manage to switch off and let the opponents get one back to at the very least make things nervy for us.
  14. Good stuff, just keep it tight at the back now Motherwell, give them nothing here.
  15. Stating the obvious but the next goal in this game is crucial. If we get it we’ll see it out I think.
  16. Kelly has been our signing of the season. Superb save yet again.
  17. A lot more urgency from us. Night and day to the St.Johnstone game and a lot of home games this season. It’s not pretty to watch but it’s encouraging to see a better attitude from the players.
  18. Watt the latest injury. Hopefully he’s not out for any length of time as our injury woes are never ending this season!
