We just can’t help but make things difficult for ourselves every single game. It’s basic, basic stuff that’s costing us all the time!
-
0-1 down already.
-
Wilkinson & Bair start along with Biereth. SO’D retains his place so Spencer continues out left it would seem.
-
Another must win game. Another game where we will fail to win. Nothing surer. 2-2 after we’ve been 2-0 down and don’t start playing until the 70th minute and we’ll scrape another draw with a last minute equaliser again and we and Kettlewell live to ‘fight’ another day.
-
Yeah okay we didn’t lose. By the skin of our teeth. But I was right again about us not being able to win one game, never mind three. And given that we were at home against an equally poor Dundee side then you would hope that we could have picked up maximum points. Instead we just scraped one by scoring in the last seconds. We are in the same position now that we have been for the last three months. We can’t win football matches and therefore we are in trouble.
-
You’re right, I don’t ever want to see us lose. But at the same time today I take absolutely no satisfaction in us drawing. We needed to win today, just like we needed to win against Ross County at the end of October. But we were rank rotten in both games, gave away cheap goals and scraped a 3-3 draw with the last kick of the ball in both games. Had we lost either game then, imo, Kettlewell would have been sacked/resigned/or at least been put under a lot more pressure than he ended up being in.
-
In all seriousness do you think that is a positive result for us? At home against Dundee having not won a game for three months, ten games and we scrape a draw with the last kick of the ball. Again. I’m sorry but for me that’s nothing to shout about. If that game finishes 2-2 then the manager and the team are rightly being slaughtered but by spawnying a 3-3 just like we did against Ross County just lets the team, the manager off the hook and gives the happy clappers in the stands and the boardroom something to munch away at for another week. Still though…. #scenes and all that pish.
-
We really are spawny bastards. That result changes nothing for us in a positive sense but it takes the heat off Kettlewell for another game. The bigger picture is that we have now failed to win in three months and have yet again failed to win a must win game at home. We are absolutely dreadful. We can’t defend, our forward options are hopeless and without 17 year old Lennon Miller and a flukey, underserved draw against Dundee changes nothing.
-
We would be as well playing Bevis at centre forward. He’s hopeless at the back but probably more of a threat than the rest of our so called forwards up the other end.
-
Shades of the February 2017 1-5 game here. That one finally saw off McGhee from his second spell and a loss here should do the same for Kettlewell.
-
Game over. Like i said the other week “Relegation Relegation. Ole. Ole. Ole.”
-
Amateurish defending yet again.
-
Happy enough with that team now we need to make sure we get three points. Just get it done Motherwell.
-
There is absolutely no chance whatsoever of us winning three games in a row! This team couldn’t be trusted to win one. County winning last night has cranked up the pressure just a little bit more on us to get a win on Saturday but I can’t see us getting it and reckon this will be yet another defeat. 0-2
-
The last time we won a game almost three months ago.
-
Airdrie would have been a nightmare draw for us, home or away. They are always more up for it than we are and would more than likely turned us over. I wouldn’t be surprised if they beat St.Johnstone either.
-
1996. To be honest I’ve wanted to see us gub them ever since that tie. Their goalkeeper dancing about as if his arse was on fire when he saved the penalties still annoys me. This is a tie we should win and anything less will be incompetence and unacceptable. That said you can never fully trust Motherwell to do the business against anyone in a Cup game.
-
Social media is absolutely awash with seethe and rabid bullshit from the “Rangers always get a helping hand” muppets as you would expect any time Rangers get a penalty which prevents them losing. The fact that the decision was correct by the rules of the game is irrelevant to these people because the issue to them is not whether or not the decision to award the penalty was justified, it is simply that Rangers got a penalty, full stop. And especially so just when it looked like Rangers were going to lose. That’s when you get the full on blabbering seething pish from these types of people #IIII see fields of green, Red roses too… I see them bloom, for me and you And I think to myself Wha# ….. Rangers got a penalty???!!!! Bastards! Cheats! Masons! Refs! Every fucking week! Knew it! Only they get the decisions! Baaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrghhhhh!!!!
-
It was a penalty yesterday and a penalty today. It’s daft as fuck to tug jerseys inside the box when VAR is in operation.
-
We have to win this one, no two ways about it. It would really help our cause if we could actually score first as opposed to having to chase the game and giving ourselves a mountain to climb. Obika and Biereth should both start as long as they are fit.
-
Yes they are, I see that now. Lost on pens to QoS yesterday. Okay so we can’t draw Dundee United, but it’ll still be a shite draw for us, it almost always is.
-
4th Round draw takes place tonight on Sportscene. We badly, badly could do with a Cup run to lift the mood around the club but with our luck with draws and poor form then it’s unlikely. I fully expect us to be drawn away to another top flight side yet again, probably St.Mirren. Either that or Dundee Utd for Moult to score against us and knock us out.
-
This is a great result and we’re all entitled to enjoy it given the circumstances and who it was against. But we must follow this up with a win against Dundee next week, otherwise the pressure will be - rightly - cranked up on SK again.
-
Supporting Motherwell isn’t always about getting pleasure. It’s about following the team through thick and thin, no matter what. Obviously you hope that you get pleasure and enjoyment from it but you know that quite often it’s going to be a hard watch and that you will more likely than not end up frustrated. That’s why unexpected results like we got today are so satisfying, because it makes you understand why you sit through the multiple kicks in the stones.
-
Never mind me. Discuss the game and the result!
