  1. The chat around the video is ridiculous. Some folk can't see past their own ego.
  2. Penney does seem to meet the waifs and strays criteria.
  3. It's because SteelmaninOZ is in the future.
  4. If people think that the video is the big idea then they need to take a breath and think. The big idea is to gain external investment and interest in the club, and the video should be seen as bait, which it is. I concur that it's amateurish, but I think that's the point. It's wound most Motherwell fans up and got others laughing at the club. All press is good press, etc. As I said above, the video has gone viral, so job done.
  5. That video is spectacular. It's so incredibly shit and I think that's the point. We're all talking about it, and it's already doing the rounds all over the internet (437,000 views and counting on Twitter). Those attacking it have either completely missed the point or allowed their arrogance to get in the way. Many more people know about Motherwell now. Job done.
  6. Two points: The current trajectory of 1 win in 16 games does not suggest to me that we will finish in a Euro qualification spot. That's my opinion but it's based on the evidence before me. If you actually read and understood what I wrote in my post you would see that I acknowledged (based on what Weir said) that we cannot afford to empty another management team mid-contract. This means they'll be here until the end of the season regardless of performance. However, if we remain crap, the Club doesn't have to, nor should it renew their contracts when they expire at the end of the season.
  7. Another dig at my opinions; you really need to move on.
  8. That is an excellent update by Derek Weir, and hats off to him for doing it. However, his high praise for the current management team suggests he could be chomping at the bit to extend their contracts beyond the end of this season, regardless of their poor performance (so far) this season. I get that we can't empty them now, as he explained why, but they're out of contract at the end of the season and should be on their way if the current trajectory continues, which is looking possible at the moment. To put it simply, given McMahon and Weir are stepping down and/or leaving to allow the Club the opportunities to move forward instead of standing still, awarding a poorly performing management team a new contract, in my opinion, would be the antithesis of what they're trying to achieve for the Club. Therefore, regardless of on-field performance, the timing of the appointment of a new CEO and Weir's departure could be pivotal in determining who the management team will be for next season. I understand that what I am concerned about here is hypothetical, but that's my gut reaction.
  9. Collum and his moron colleagues would probably have sent Spencer off for that 'foul'.
  10. Spaghettihad to the Etihad in half a season.
  11. We should not be looking to sign a player with a worse goal-per-game ratio than the player we just moved on for being shite. Main (71 in 434) - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/curtis-main/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/77715 Wilkinson (72 in 328) - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/conor-wilkinson/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/228791
  12. Let's see how he does in his second transfer window. If it's anything like his first, we're in trouble and he’ll be gone by summer.
  13. I can't disagree with your sentiment here; however, it's already clear to me that Kettlewell will never achieve what Robinson did with Motherwell.
  14. In my opinion, neither has more influence/clout than the other, but we can all have different opinions on this, likely as a direct consequence of our varied backgrounds and experiences. However, what I don't think is disputed is that it's clear that both have more influence than they should have in football etc. It’s the stain of Central Scotland’s religious tribalism that gives rise to, feeds, and appeases that influence. It's pervasive, nauseating and embarrassing. Much like my personal views on church and state, football and religion should be at a stage now where it can be and should be separate, but that's almost impossible for football culture in Central Scotland due to its social and political history. As a consequence, the collective Catholic and Protestant victim/conspiracy/etc voices will always be heard the loudest in a Scottish football context, and that's unfortunately how it is these days.
  15. Ditto. I’m enough of a prick as is.
  16. Sam Campbell departs. https://x.com/MotherwellFC/status/1742878547948011549?s=20
  17. I've got a Celtic-supporting friend who spends his life tweeting about Rangers, be it trolling them or retweeting things, etc., as he calls them out for their conspiracy theory bollox and their apparent obsession with decisions/stories affecting Celtic. The sad thing is that, in doing what he does, he fails to see how obsessed he appears to be with Rangers rather than focusing on Celtic. It's like watching a wall fight with a wall as both try to convince each other and themselves that they're not a wall. The hypocrisy, wanton ignorance, and irony are staggering, and they're no different from each other in that sense. Pathetic.
  18. And every forum is also full of delusional happy clappers.
  19. He's a poor manager, and that unnecessary comment about Gent epitomises his lack of managerial skills.
  20. I was being sarcastic and, unsurprisingly, it shot over most heads on here.
  21. Kettlewell will be sacked. But you lads can keep fighting for him.
  22. Are you taking the piss? I think you might be. I've been flying the KVV flag for some time. Or you're a cunt. 😘
