  1. Post-split fixture plans Given that four clubs can still clinch the final top-six place, and the need to liaise with police and broadcasters, it is our intention to publish the post-split fixtures at some point on Monday April 8. Games will be played on the weekends of April 20, April 27, May 4, May 11 and May 18 Just seen this on SPL website.
  2. DERBY are the latest side weighing up a summer swoop for Rangers target Chris Humphrey. The winger is one of several first team stars at Motherwell out of contract this summer and has still to receive an offer to stay at Fir Park. Gers boss Ally McCoist is keen on the England-born Jamaica international — but a string of clubs down south have also been alerted. Rams boss Nigel Clough took Craig Bryson from Kilmarnock two seasons ago and has kept his eye on the game up here. Doesn't seem like there's much substance in those 4 lines!
  3. Because technically both us & them would still be able to win the league. We all know there's no chance of us actually winning the league, but in the interests of fairness they can't give an advantage of 3 home games v 1 to either team. Not even the SPL would do that!
  4. If we win on Saturday Celtic will not play at Fir Park again this season. The money to the club would be more than welcome but 3 points on Saturday in the push for 2nd place is far more important
  5. If we come out of the blocks quickly & get at them, I think we can win this game comfortably, despite our poor recent record against them. An early goal seems to be key for us, so hopefully that's what we'll get. 4-1 to the 'Well
  6. If we win Saturday there's no chance we'll get another home game against Celtic. Would mean only them & us could win the league (as is the case now actually), so in the interests of 'sporting integrity', they would have to make sure we play each other equal times home & away. While it would be nice financially to have them at home again & also the fact we'd have a better chance of beating them at Fir Park, let's hope it doesn't happen!
  7. You're right mate, my maths was all wrong!
  8. Surely 3 of our post split games should be at home? If not we'll end up having played 18 home games & 20 away. I know this would mean a 3-1 home to away advantage in our favour against 1 team but sure this has happened to us a few times. Would prefer that to be against Celtic but only way that would be possible is if they were to win the league on Saturday. Obviously don't want that as would mean us losing & them winning!
  9. Has been a great signing for us, absolutely no doubt about that. Scores goals, holds the ball up fantastically & his link up play is immense. The games where he may seem less effective are more often than not down to very poor refereeing, some refs just don't seem to like the way he goes about his business, wrongly in my opinion. Here's hoping the big man puts pen to paper on a 2/3 year deal.
  10. Positive stuff from big Higgy, let's hope the club are able to get something sorted with him soon.
  11. Asked this question myself. Answer was yes, they do. However if Celtic win the cup, then the losers will qualify for Europe but won't go in at a more advanced stage than league runners up.
  12. I've loved the European away trips too, really hoping we get another adventure or 2 next season. I know when it comes to the actual games there are a lot of people on here who start moaning when we lose, but when I was young European football was nothing but a dream so, win lose or draw, I'll enjoy it if it comes. Not counting my chickens though, still a lot of work to be done.

    Dundee Game

Delighted to come away with a comfortable win today, got to admit had the fear for this game, thought we might struggle. Didn't sound like we played at our best but to win, score 3 goals & keep a clean sheet was tremendous. Hopefully we can break our duck against St Mirren this season with a win next week, be good to have a big vocal crowd backing the boys, the introduce a friend offer for season ticket holders should help with that. That would see us go into the post split games in a very strong position. Onwards & upwards

Hopefully another couple, would love to see the big man equaling Pettigrew's record with a hat-trick!

Happy to be 1-0 up at half time, doesn't sound like we're playing as well as we can. A 2nd half performance like we produced against Hibs should hopefully see us go on & score another goal or 2 & seal the 3 points. Come on Motherwell
  17. Bring back the Terraces and the Fence !!!!! Yes Please
  18. Right Stuart, now get Randolph, Law & Higdon signed up.......... ETA: May as well get Faddy on board for next season while you're at it!
  19. This is what I've been thinking, hope I'm proved wrong but I am a bit nervous about Hollis taking over the number 1 position. It's 1 thing to have a few good games here & there, but not sure how good he'll be over the course of a season. Guess we've been spoiled a bit having Ruddy then Randolph between the sticks in the last few years. I'm still hoping for some sort of miracle happening & we'll still have Randolph next season, unlikely I know, but love the big guy & will be gutted when he does leave. Anyway, I'm sure McCall has his own thoughts on the goalkeeping situation, he sees Hollis in training on a daily basis so is better placed than me or anyone else to know if he's good enough to take over if/when Randolph goes.
  20. Nicky Law From the official site. Would love to get him signed up for another 2 or 3 years, not getting my hopes up though!
  21. Yes mate, thanks for that.
  22. What happens if Celtic win the cup & the runners up take the Europa place? Surely they don't go in a round after the team finishing 2nd in the league? I really hope not.

    Hibernian

Great performance, a big well done to the whole team. Could only really go for Jamesie boy though, thoroughly enjoyed watching that performance he put in last night, magnificent!
  24. Well there's the early 2nd half goal
