It's getting to the point where they are starting to out number the sane people. We are doomed to shite patter on this board for years to come...

A lot of the abuse comes down to people not understanding how the game of football works. The rest comes down to them needing their hole.

A lot of current Motherwell fans have a totally unrealistic expectation of our team. At the start of the season most people would have quite easily accepted a top six finish - we are well on course for this. We have a group of players and a management team who are giving their all to the club, but even when they do this they get totally lambasted for it. There was a good programme about Borussia Mochengladbach on ESPN the other day and last year the team was in a playoff to decide who got relegated from the top division in Germany. They won 2-1 and didn't go down, but all season they had about 50,000 fans standing to a man supporting the team. The players really appreciated the effort the fans put in to keep them up. I dread to think what Fir Park would be like if we were in the same position. We just need to have a sense of realism around Fir Park and accept the quality of player we can sign and also the quality of the football on display.

Fuck sake. Higdons hold up play is excellent he nearly always wins his headers and nearly all his knock downs are into dangerous areas. The problem is we have this three pronged attack which leaves Higdon totally isolated. Personally I think Higdon has been an excellent signing. It's down to McCall to get the best out of his strengths.

Seen about twenty minutes of the game on the choockter channel and Higdon won every ball he went for and every knock he made went into space and there was no one there.

I can't believe that anyone thought we would go through this season without some dips in results. We have a tiny squad with no depth and that because we have no money. Of course we are going to lose games and as the season goes on we will lose more as our squad will start to pick up more injuries. 3rd after half way and have a nice cushion of a couple of games in hand. I would have but your hand off for that in August. Anyone saying its not acceptable needs a good shake.
